Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the prospective child care teachers' discourse on the professionalism of music classes infants and children. For this purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted targeting second-year students in the department of child care and welfare at the H university in S city. Methods: The results were analyzed according to the methods of Bogdan and Biklen (2006). Results: The results of interviews showed, the prospective child care teachers felt that it was too soon to talk about their professionalism and teachers' professionalism needed further education and experience in the field. Additionally, regarding the professional music classes, the prospective child care teachers were suggested to require the knowledge of infants' individual development, difference and interest. Secondly, to be able to comply with the national curriculum and build an integrated education plan based on the themes that of infants and children' interests. Thirdly, to be familiar with the teaching methods guiding what to teach and how to teach. And in order to possess such expertise, the discourse suggested that the teachers should enjoy music themselves, learn musical instruments to develop their musical abilities, and have a variety of artistic experiences. In spite of their efforts, if they do not meet the needs, they should overcome by co-operating with their colleagues rather than giving up the music classes. Conclusion/Implications: This study presents the practical direction of music education for the prospective child care teachers.

The purpose of this study is to examine the reality of early childhood education and recognition of its teachers. The subjects of this study were 173 day care center teachers. They were surveyed by questionnaire and the results were tabulated using descriptive statistics. According to the result, 1) the majority answered that test cohort is two years children, number of subject is between 10 and 20 children, required time is 20-30 minutes, frequency is once a week, and teaching duration is more than a year. 2) It was reported that the education plan is usually submitted to day care center teachers and if it is not well linked, there are not many things that can be revised after consultation with teacher, even though it is well delivered. 3) Although they answered that the preparation of teaching materials for music activities were well used, the efficiency of the material towards children was reported as just normal. 4) There was a replacement of the music teacher during the specialized music education program.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and needs on development of lecture to promote creative personality of pre-service teachers. The subjects were 161 students in 4th grade in early childhood education department. The questionnaire was composed of 3 items of 'recognition of creativity personality lecture' and 7 items of 'demand of development for creativity personality lecture'. The data was analyzed frequency and percentage by descriptive statistics. In the results, first, most of pre-service teachers recognized the importance on development of creativity personality lecture, and support of 'development and application of creativity personality lecture'. They recognized that creativity personality lecture was effective. Second, more than half of them responded that they would take creativity personality lecture, and this lecture was most appropriate 2 courses and 3 hours 10 weeks per semester. They demanded a lot of propensity element among creativity education elements, convergence classes in various fields, teaching medium for 'movie and music', and 'portfolio evaluation'.
