A Study on Unmanned Image Tracking System based on Smart Phone (스마트폰 기반의 무인 영상 추적 시스템 연구)

  • An unattended recording system based on smartphone based image image tracking is rapidly developing. Among the existing products, a system that automatically tracks and rotates the object to be photographed using an infrared signal is very expensive for general users. Therefore, this paper proposes a mobile unattended recording system that enables automatic recording by anyone who uses a smartphone. The system consists of a commercial mobile camera, a servomotor that moves the camera from side to side, a microcontroller to control the motor, and a commercial wireless Bluetooth Earset for video audio input. In this paper, we designed a system that enables unattended recording through image tracking using smartphone.

Three-dimensional Imaging with an Endoscopic Optical Coherence Tomography System for Detection of Airway Stenosis (기도협착 측정을 위한 내시경 광 결맞음 단층촬영법을 이용한 3차원 이미징)

  • The respiratory tract is an essential part of the respiratory system involved in the process of respiration. However, if stenosis occurs, it interferes with breathing and can even lead to death. Asthma is a typical example of a reversible cause of airway narrowing, and the number of patients suffering from acute exacerbation is steadily increasing. Therefore, it is important to detect airway narrowing early and prevent the patient's condition from worsening. Optical coherence tomography (OCT), which has high resolution, is suitable for observing the microstructure of tissues. In this study we developed an endoscopic OCT system. We combined a 1300-nm OCT system with a servo motor, which can rotate at a high speed. A catheter was pulled back using a linear stage while imaging with 360° rotation by the motor. The motor was selected considering various requirements, such as torque, rotational speed, and gear ratio of pulleys. An ex vivo rabbit tracheal model was used as a sample, and the sample and catheter were immobilized by acrylic structures. The OCT images provided information about the structures of the mucosa and submucosa. The difference between normal and stenosed parts in the trachea was confirmed by OCT. Furthermore, through a three-dimensional (3-D) reconstruction process, it was possible to identify and diagnose the stenosis in the 3-D image of the airway, as well as the cross-sectional image. This study would be useful not only for diagnosing airway stenosis, but also for realizing 3-D imaging.

  • 실제영상으로 가상환경을 구축해서 사용자가 가상환경을 돌아다님으로써 보다 큰 몰입감과 현실감을 제공하는 영상기반 가상현실 기술은 최근 들어 웹 기반 가상현실시스템을 구축하기 위해서 많이 사용된다. 이 기술은 가상환경 구축에 있어 항해를 쉽게 하기 위한 한 방법으로 넓은 시각 영역(field of view)을 얻을 수 있는 wide-angle 렌즈를 흔히 사용한다. 어안렌즈(fish-eye lens)는 전형적인 넓은 시각 영역을 가진 렌즈로서, 매우 큰 radial distortion 을 가진다. 왜곡을 없앤 영상을 얻기 위해 본 논문에서는 구면기하(spherical geometry) 및 사영기하(projective geometry)를 사용하여 어안영상을 보정하는 non-metric기법을 제안한다. 제안한 이 방법은, 기존의 방법들 보다는 쉽고 빠른 속도로 왜곡을 보정할 수 있으므로 어안영상의 왜곡을 보정하는 하드웨어를 효율적으로 구현할 수 있다. 그리고 spheroid 를 이용해 좀 더 왜곡을 정확히 보정방법과 별도의 서보 모터 없이 pan/title 를 가능케 하는 시점이동에 따른 왜곡 보정 방법을 제시한다.

An Efficient Segmentation-based Wavelet Compression Method for MR Image (MR 영상을 위한 효율적인 영역분할기반 웨이블렛 압축기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a coding method to improve compression efficiency for MR image. This can be achieved by combining coding scheme and segmentation scheme which removes noisy background region, which is meaningless for diagnosis in the MR image. In segmentation algoritm, we use full-resolution wavelet transform to extract features of regions in image and Kohonen self-organizing map to classify the features. The subsequent wavelet coder encodes only diagnostically significant foreground regions refering to segmentation map. Our proposed algorithm provides about 15% of bit rate reduction when compared with the same coder which is not combined with segmentation scheme. And the proposed scheme shows better reconstructed image quality than JPEG at the same compression ratio.

  • In telerobot systems, visual servoing of a task object for a slave arm with an eye-in-hand has drawn an interesting attention. As such a task ingenerally conducted in an unstructured environment, it is very difficult to define the inverse feature Jacobian matrix. To overcome this difficulty, this paper proposes an auto-tuning fuzzy rule-based visual servo algorithm. In this algorithm, a visual servo controller composed of fuzzy rules, receives feature errors as inputs and generates the change of have position as outputs. The fuzzy rules are tuned by using steepest gradient method of the cost function, which is defined as a quadratic function of feature errors. Since the fuzzy rules are tuned automatically, this method can be applied to the visual servoing of a slave arm in real time. The effctiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified through a series of simulations and experiments. The results show that through the learning procedure, the slave arm and track object in real time with reasonable accuracy.

  • In this paper, we propose an Raspberry Pi2-based smart home security monitoring system. Proposed home security monitoring system was configured using a relatively tractable main processor raspberry pi2, ultrasonic sensors, and PIR sensors. In addition, The picamera is compatible with raspberry pi2 was connected to the servo motor. And by driving the attacker's location the video was recording. The Web server stores data of the recorded image and the sensor, and provides a web page to enable the monitoring at all remote locations. When examining efficiency of proposed home security monitoring system it was found that proposed system is easier to be made than existing home security system and is able to minimize the blind spot of the camera by using servo motor and is efficient and convenient and stable as it enables a user to handle an error in person and it uses reliable data.

  • 컴퓨터와 인간과의 상호작용에서 다양한 형태의 인터페이스에 대한 요구가 날로 커지고 있다. 그 가운데 실생활에서도 사물을 지칭하거나 의사소통의 수단으로 사용되는 손과 관련한 인터페이스에 대한 연구가 주목 받고 있다. 기존의 대부분의 연구들은 손을 입력 받으면 영상을 기반으로 손의 중심점을 찾아 그것의 위치를 인식하였는데 이는 물체에 의해 손이 가려진 것과 같이 잘못된 영상을 입력 받았을 때 원하는 결과를 얻지 못하는 상황을 야기할 수 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 점을 보완하기 위하여 손의 중심점을 찾을 때 방해 받는 물체에 덜 민감하게 반응하도록 칼만 필터를 적용하여 문제점을 개선할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 결과의 정확도를 높일 수 있도록 손가락 끝점을 추출하여 칼만 필터의 매개변수에 반영시켜주었다. 그 결과 예기치 못한 상황이 발생했을 때에도 이것에 덜 민감하게 반응하면서 손의 위치를 비교적 정확하게 측정할 수 있었으며 시스템의 과정이 간단하여 실시간으로 응용하기에 적합한 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, a dual stage servo mechanism has been developed for image tracking system to improve control performances such as small rise time, small overshoot, small settling time, small stabilization error etc. A secondary stage, a platform, actuated by a pair of electro-magnets is mounted on a conventional elevation gimbal. In this mechanism, the gimbal provides large range but slow motion and the platform provides small range but fast positioning. A sliding mode control is applied to the platform positioning to attain robust performances and stability in the presence of the disturbance related to dynamic coupling of the gimbal and the platform. Results from experiments illustrate that the suggested dual stage mechanism controlled by the sliding mode control is effective in improving responses and attenuating the disturbance response related with dynamic coupling.

  • 본 논문에서는 폐 스마트폰을 활용하기 위한 원격제어 CCTV 시스템에 대하여 기술한다. 시스템은 폐 스마트폰용 애플리케이션과 폐 스마트폰을 거치할 수 있는 스마트독, 그리고 사용자용 애플리케이션으로 구성된다. 폐 스마트폰용 애플리케이션은 스마트독을 제어할 수 있고 영상을 전송할 수 있다. 스마트독은 온도, 습도, 적외선 센서와 서보모터가 장착되어 있다. 사용자용 애플리케이션은 영상을 확인할 수 있고 스마트독의 센서 데이터를 전송받을 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 늘어나는 폐 스마트폰을 효율적으로 활용할 수 있고 적은 비용으로 실내 CCTV 환경을 구축할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

  • Progressive transformation of germinal centers (PTGC) is a rarely diagnosed, benign disease of the lymph nodes that commonly manifests as chronic lymphadenopathy. PTGC may be characterized by single or multiple non-tender lymph nodes, and it commonly involves the cervical, axillary, and inguinal areas. Although PTGC is identified with concurrent lymphoma in some patients, it is not considered as a premalignant entity. Histopathologic diagnosis of PTGC is rarely made, and imaging findings have been reported in very few studies. We present a case of PTGC that occurred at the contralateral axillary lymph nodes and mimicked metastatic lymphadenopathy after breast cancer surgery. We also discuss its imaging findings.
