Since the year 2000, the need for an improvement of archival descriptions has been an increasing issue, due to the growing usage and amount of archival materials. Unlike the development of descriptions for paper records, however, the technological development and research for moving image descriptions has been limited due to its diversity and specificity. This research investigated the current status and the specificity of the moving image descriptions and also examined major international archival description cases. In-depth interviews with archival professionals were also conducted. Based on the findings, this study suggested the need for redefinition of and continuous research on the fundamental values of moving image information, moving image description and management based on digilog view points, the development of user-centric description and search aides, the creation of moving image values using a relevant information management system, and the improvement of moving image description elements throughout the life-cycle of the material.

As a communication language, non-text records and archives such as photographs, images, and videos are becoming more important than text records. As a result, domestic institution, organizations, and specialists related to record management have been emphasizing the necessity of the archive management system appropriate for the distinctive characteristics of image records. This paper summarizes the points to be considered for the establishment of the Korean audiovisual archives management system, based on the writer's experience of participating in the International Audiovisual Archives Management Training for professionals in the world(INA Frame) of 2018. In particular, various types of contents including cinema, broadcasting, cultural should be managed at the national level. Furthermore, the necessity of a new concept establishment for "public audiovisual heritage" is accentuated. In addition, the tasks regarding the establishment of foundation, such as the modification of the related systems and infrastructures, and the layouts of the institution or governance, should be reviewed and revised. Moreover, the preliminary tasks revised, should be lead to the establishment of stable management system for public audiovisual archives of Korea.

본 논문에서는 국가무형문화재 기록영상의 화질 개선에 관한 연구를 진행한다. 기록영상의 화질 개선을 위해 SRGAN 기반의 초해상화 복원영상 생성 프레임워크의 적용을 제안한다. Image aumentation과 median filter를 적용한 데이터셋과 적대적 신경망인 Generative Adversarial Network (GAN)을 기반으로 딥러닝 네트워크를 구축하여 입력된 Low-Resolution 이미지를 통해 High-Resolution의 복원 영상을 생성한다. 이 연구를 통해 국가무형문화재 기록영상 뿐만 아니라 문화재 전반의 사진 및 영상 기록 자료의 품질 개선 가능성을 제시하고, 영상 기록 자료의 아카이브 구축을 통해 지속적인 활용의 기초연구가 되는 것을 목표로 한다.

The focus of this paper lies on the fact that the 'management' and 'utilization' of audiovisual archives are still not specialized in both the public and the private sectors. The use of online video platforms including 'YouTube' has became common. Accordingly the production and collection of high-definition and high-capacity audiovisual archives has been rapidly increasing. However, it also emphasizes that there are no references or principles in the current Public Records Act and its enforcement rules, public standards, and guidelines. This paper ultimately examines the provisions that are related to audiovisual archives of the current Public Records Act, which needed to be revised and enacted due to the lack of an audiovisual archives management manual of national institutions, public broadcasters, and organizations can refer to. In addition, this study tries to find out what kind of systems and guidelines are used in audiovisual archives management. This paper examines the current state of standardization of audiovisual records of the National Archives. It also analyses the systems and the guidelines methodically for efficient audiovisual record management in the public records management sector. It suggests the new direction of relevant public standards and guidelines through this research. Futhermore, it measures to activate the audiovisual management policy-making functions of the National Archives. The necessity of establishing a Public Audiovisual Archives as an organization was also reviewed in this paper. The Public Audiovisual Archives will collect Public Audio and Videos systematically and comprehensively through the legal deposit system. And it will be operated by the management and the utilization system so that it can be used for public as a collective memory. Finally, it will takes a charge of a professional role in audiovisual record management field, such as technology standardization to safeguard and protect the copyrights through this process.

This study aims to develop a metadata schema for sports moving records based on a multiple entity model as an attempt to suggest an effective way to manage, retrieve, and utilize sports moving records. The multiple entity model consists of four entities - sports match, match contributors, moving records, and record management business - and metadata elements were developed for each entity. In addition, authority records for sports team and persons were created to ensure the consistency of terminology and provide rich contextual information. The suggested multiple entity model, metadata elements, and authority records for sports teams and persons were verified, modified, and expanded by a group of experts including a sports marketing expert and professors in the sports department.

The purpose of this study is to lay the foundation for the construction of an identification system by proposing descriptive items that can identify the creators who participated in the production of broadcasting video records. In order to uniquely identify the creators of broadcasting video records, a total of seven descriptive categories, including name, gender, date of birth, name identifier system, nationality, affiliated agencies, and major fields, were organized into three categories: individual, affiliation, and role. These categories were classified and categorized into two stages. Based on the proposed structure, a total of 10 basic facets and 14 sub-facets were constructed to establish a faceted structure for identifying the creators of broadcasting video records.

The video production, as a recording data about the archeological survey, has advantages to be visualized in actuality and historical fact presented objects with elements such as moving images, audio(voice) and text(subtitle). While the report with text and images such as photographs and drawings does not present exactly, the video production can record a concrete excavation process to be difficult of represent with former media. To make a practical use the video production in archeological surveys, the use dimension should be expanded to the entire archeological excavations and the shooting and editing work should be done by those video production-specialized staffs. Ultimately, when this video production device is used but also for the survey purposes but also for the education, exhibition, and even commercial purposes, it can have the substantial meaning as a survey tool.

In this study, we propose an image stitching method for large-area holographic photo lithography. In this method, a hologram medium become a hologram mask for lithography. And the mask has information for stitched images. These images are recorded by signal images which are controlled with DMD (digital micro-mirror device), and serial hologram recording is achieved with a motorized linear stage. Using this method, fringe seams appear on the stitching area. To remove these fringe seams, double exposure holographic lithography is tried. Each stitched image is recorded and reconstructed with a different reference beam. The experiments confirm that fringe seams are removed.

홀로그래픽 스테레오그램은, 양안 스테레오스코픽 영상들을 레이저 기준파와 간섭시켜 생성된 홀로그래픽 패턴을 감광매질인 홀로그래픽 필름에 기록한 후, 이를 다시 광학적 회절을 이용하여 3차원 영상으로 재현하는 3차원 디스플레이의 한 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 다시점의 full-color, full-parallax 영상을 디지털 방식의 스테레오그램으로 제작하여 3차원 입체 영상으로 재현하기 위한 기록 시스템에서, 기록 매질인 홀로그래픽 필름 면에서의 영상을 고해상도 영상 센서를 이용하여 직접 획득하고, 이 영상 정보를 분석하여 광축을 제어함으로써, 왜곡없는 최적의 호겔을 형성하여 높은 회절 효율을 갖는 스테레오그램을 제작하기 위한 방법 및 장치에 대한 연구개발 결과를 기술하였다.

시청각기록물은 기존 문서기록물과 달리 생생한 현장감을 전달할 수 있고 사용자들의 관심을 끌 수 있는 장점이 있다. 그러나 전자시청 각기록물은 원본과 똑같은 품질의 사본들이 많이 만들어지게 되어 위변조가 쉽고 불법복제 및 배포가 가능하기 때문에 기록물관리에 주의를 기울여야 한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 방안들로서 DRM과 워터마킹기술이 주목을 받게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 시청각기록물 중에서 동영상 시청각 기록물에 적용 가능한 워터마킹 기술을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 워터마킹 기술은 원본영상신호의 복제신호를 추출하여 워터마크 정보를 삽입하는 방법을 취했다. 전자시청각 기록물 출처확인 및 무단배포에 따른 저작권 권리 추적을 위한 기술로서 다양한 실험을 통하여 가능성을 점검하였다. 원본 신호에서 추출된 신호를 이용하여 워터마크 정보를 삽입하기 때문에 화질훼손이 적고 압축알고리즘에 강인한 특성을 갖고 있다. 실험결과를 통해서 원본보존을 중요시하는 시청각기록물관리 분야에서 적용 가능성을 제시하였다.
