Performance of Hybrid Solar Still Under Operating Conditions (하이브리드 태양열 해수담수기의 운전 조건별 성능실험)

  • In this study, we have performed tests to improve the productivity of hybrid solar stills, which can be operated by solar thermal energy and/or waste heat of exhaust gas from electrical generators. The experimental apparatus is a hybrid solar still with a $1m{\times}2m$ collecting area, which consists of a conventional simple solar still and a vertical multi-effect diffusion(MED) section. The experiments were conducted under various operating conditions, with two identical hybrid solar stills, using solar radiation as the energy source. The results of the tests showed that the yield of the hybrid solar still depends on the various operating conditions. Insulation at the side glasses and a lower basin seawater level increased the productivity of the hybrid solar still. Reflecting fins with less than 47% reflectivity unexpectedly decreased the total productivity. However, the various feeding flow rate of the seawater into MED part did not show clear effects on productivity in the tested range.

  • 본 논문은 최소한의 형태소 정보를 이용한 자동 발음열 생성 시스템을 제안한다 일반적으로 발음열 생성 시스템은 입력된 문장에 대하여 형태소 단위로 분석한 다음, 각 형태소와 형태소의 결함 관계를 고려한 음운 규칙을 적용함으로써 상응하는 발음열을 생성한다. 지금까지의 연구는 이러한 발음열 생성시의 형태소 분석에 관하여 그 범위에 관한 연구 없이, 가능한 최대한의 분석을 상정하고 있다. 본 논문은 한국어 음운현상을 체계적인 텍스트 분석을 통하여 모든 형태론적 음운론적인 환경에서 가능한 모든 음운현상을 분류하여 발음열 생성시에 실제로 필요한 형태소 분석의 범위를 규명하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 음운 현상을 분석하기 위해 사용한 텍스트 자료로는 어휘가 중복되지 않으면서도 많은 종류의 어휘가 수록된 5만 여 어휘의 연세한국어사전과 2200 여 개의 어미와 조사를 수록한 어미조사사전을 이용하였다. 이와 같이 텍스트를 분석한 결과, 음운현상은 규칙적인 음운 현상과 불규칙적인 음운현상으로 나뉘는데, 이 가운데 형태소 정보가 필요한 형태음운규칙으로는 두 가지가 있으며, 이러한 형태음운규칙을 위한 형태소 분석의 범위로는 세세한 분류를 필요로 하지 않는 최소한의 정보로 가능함을 보인다. 이러한 체계적인 분석을 기반으로 제안하는 자동 발음열 생성 시스템은 형태음운규칙과 예외규칙, 그리고 일반음운 규칙으로 구성된다. 본 시스템에 대한 성능 실험은 PBS 1637 어절과 ETRI 텍스트 DB 19만 여 어절을 이용하여 99.9%의 성능결과를 얻었다.

  • Distribution-matching type algorithms based on a set of symbols generated in random order provide a limited performance under biased impulsive noise since the performance criterion for the algorithms has no variables for biased signal. For the immunity against biased impulsive noise, we propose, in this paper, a modified performance criterion and derived related blind algorithms based on augmented filter structures and the distribution-matching method using a set of random symbols. From the simulation results, the proposed algorithm based on the proposed criterion yielded superior convergence performance undisturbed by the strong biased impulsive noise.

  • A design of regenerative cooling system of 30 ton level thrust combustion chamber for ground test has been performed. The 1-D design code has been validated by comparing with the heat flux of the NAL calorimeter for high chamber pressure and water-cooling performance of the ECC engine of MOBIS. The present design code has been confirmed to predict accurately the heat flux and water-cooling performance for high chamber pressure condition. The maximum hot-gas-side wall temperature is predicted to be about 720 K without thermal barrier coating and the coolant-side wall temperature is less than the coking temperature of RP-1. The coolant temperature rises nearly 100 K with thermal barrier coating when Jet-A1 is used as coolant.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the performances of system considering diversity for FH/CPFSK system with limiter-discrimicator detection and integrate-and-dump post-detection filtering. And, we considered thermal noise and partial-band jamming noise, intersymbol interference for all eight of the possible adjacent bit data patterns, FM noise clicks for evaluation systems. In result, the performance of FH/CPFSK system with diversity under the worst-case partial band jamming noise degraded about 5dB rather than that of without diversity when we considered the thermal noise but improved about 16dB rather than of without diversity when we ignored the thermal noise.

  • The humidifying supply gas is important in terms of the performance efficiency and membrane life improvement of a PEM fuel cell. A planar membrane humidifier is classified as a cross-flow and counter-flow type depending on the flow direction, and heat and mass transfer occur between the plate and the membrane. In this study, the changes in heat and mass transfer for various inlet temperatures and flow rates are compared according to the flow direction by using the sensible and latent ${\varepsilon}$-NTU method. The obtained results indicate that the counter flow shows higher heat and mass transfer performance than the cross flow at a low flow rate, and the difference in performance decreases as the flow rate increases. Furthermore, changes in the mass transfer performance decrease considerably with a nonlinear increase in the inlet temperature, and variations of the heat transfer performance are small.

  • An analysis program to simulate the operation of a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) system was set up, and system operation with variations in the working conditions of various components (especially the thermal management system) was simulated. The entire system included a PEMFC stack and balance-of-plant components such as an air-supply unit, a fuel-supply unit, and a heat-management unit (cooling system). Thermodynamic models of all components were made to evaluate the design performance of the entire system, and then off-design models were set up to simulate the operation of the entire system under arbitrary working conditions. A parametric study was carried out to examine the effects of varying the operating conditions (especially the ambient conditions and the operating conditions of the cooling system) on the operation and performance of the entire system.

  • A study of the performance effect of Indolene-Methanol Plus High Alcolhols (MPHA) has been completed. The study invested the measurement of performance parameters. The performance parameters measured are minimum advance for best torque (MBT) spark timing, power output and thermal efficiency. The alcohol concentration was varied from 0 to 100 percent by volume in clear Indolene. The performance parameters were measured using a single cylinder spark ignition engine at different compression ratios. The results of the performance measurements indicated that Indolene-MPHA blends have a higher MBT spark advance, similar power output and lower thermal efficiencies than Indolene-Methanol blends.
