A Study on the Competitiveness Improvement of Coastal Shipping for Northeast Asia Logistics-Hub (동북아(東北亞) 물류거점화(物流據點化)를 위한 연안해운(沿岸海運) 경쟁력(競爭力) 제고방안(提高方案)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • The purpose of this research is to present the improvement measure of lagging behind coastal shipping system to be a logistic hub-nation with a competitive edge. For this purpose, this research tries to find out major northeast asia environment factors and accordingly the effects of its. The effects of coastal shipping system's development strategy is analysed by structural equation model and multiple regression model. Research results show that three types of coastal shipping developing strategy(connected transportation system, structure of coastal shipping system, governmental support policy) will contribute much to be logistic hub-nation. The contribution effects is increasing cargo from strengthened feeder transport system and maximizing logistic service &minimizing logistic costs. From the result, some implications are derived as follow. First, familiar environmental balanced ocean-coastal transport system is required. Second the one-stop logistic service system is necessary to build excusive feeder port, and to establish Ro-Ro ship & high-speed ship, etc.. Third, governmental support policy and subsidy(tax exempted oil & various tax benefits) are required to bring up lagging behind coastal shipping system to be a logistic hub-nation with a competitive edge.

  • 동해안에 서식하는 밍크고래의 분포와 풍도를 알기 위해서 거리표집법(Distance sampling)의 일종인 직선횡단선 조사법 (Line transect method)을 적용하여 5월 14일부터 6월 7일까지 25일간 동해일원에서 국립수산과학원 조사선 탐구 3호 (360 G/T)를 이용하여 조사를 하였다. 동해안을 연안과 외양으로 구분하여 7개의 소해역으로 나눈 뒤에, 각 소해역의 조사선 (Survey line)을 설정하였는데, 조사선의 시작점은 무작위로 선정하여 지그재그로 조사선을 결정하였다. (중략)

  • The purpose of this paper is to present the alternatives for improving coostal shipping logistics system to be a logistic hub-nation with a competitive edge. For this purpose, major environmental factors in Northeast Asia and accordingly its effects are analyzed And then the effects of coastal shipping system's development strategy is analysed using Structural Equation Model and Multiple Regression Model.   • This paper discusses the main findings of the development of the twin-hull Car ferry for island freight and passenger transport. The final model had a 19 m wide beam to create enough space for cars on the deck area and thus, enhance the economic feasibility in the market. The vessel had a V-shape with a bulbous bow to minimize the wave-making resistance and the hydrodynamic performance of the ship was verified through computational fluid dynamics. Multi-objective optimization problems of Pareto simulated annealing were used to achieve a weight reduction of approximately 3.9 % and reduce the manufacturing cost. The main results obtained in this study are expected to be useful to engineers and professionals in related industries interested in research on twin catamaran.

A Study for Coastal T/S Transport Activation of Busan Port Container Cargoes (부산항 컨화물의 연안환적운송 활성화에 관한 연구)

  • The coastal shipping transport for containers had been serviced by Hanjin Transpotation Co., Ltd. and Korea Express Co., Ltd. from 1995. But Korea Express Co., Ltd. and Hanjin Transpotation Co., Ltd had stopped a coastal shipping transport service routed Busan-Incheon bemuse of getting worse of operation balance in 1999 and 2006 respectively. As a result of these situations, korean-flag and foreign-flag fleets are having difficulty in handling T/S cargos and in-time transport service among inter-ports in korea. As shippers also use lorry to transport their cargos than using costal shipping, it occurs increasing in national logistics' cost as well as time-consuming due to congestion on the road. Therefore, this paper identifies not anly current costal shipping transport systems but also those problems and analyses a economic effect in case of participation in the costal shipping transport service by foreign-flag vessel using monte carlo simulation.

The Variability of Ambient Noise Levels in Coastal Waters of Korea (한국 연안에서의 수중소음 수준의 변화)

  • 한국 연안에서 높게 보고되고 있는 수중소음의 소음원을 규명하기 위하여 해상교통량 변화에 따 르는 소음 수준의 변화를 2KHz 이하에서 관측하였다. 100Hz 부근의 소음은 이미 잘 알려진대로 선박에 기인함이 실험결과에서 드러났지만, 그 수준은 100~110dB로 높게 관측되었다. 더욱이 관측선으로 부터 의 거리변화율이 심한 근거리에 다수의 선박들이 분포해 있을 때 10분 간격의 소음 변화는 특히 1KHz 이상에서 최고 10 dB까지 변화를 보였다. 이것은 연근해의 밀집해 있는 선박들이 이 주파수대에서도 하 나의 소음원으로서 작용함을 의미한다.
