An Analysis on the National Economic Impacts of the Distribution Industry-Status and Input-output Analysis (유통산업의 국민경제적 파급효과 분석 - 현황과 산업연관분석을 중심으로 -)

  • This paper has two objectives. One is to understand status of the distribution industry in Korea and compare it with industrialized countries. The other is an attempt to apply input-output(I-O) analysis to investigate the economic impacts of the distribution industry in the national economy for the year 2008. In the economy as a whole, the distribution industry represented about around 15 per cent employment and accounted for near 8 percent in GDP. The employment portion of the distribution in overall industry is almost same that of US, UK, and Japan, but shared portion in GDP is at least 3 per cent below these countries. Next, a static I-O framework is employed, focusing on two topics in its application. First, the impacts of the product or investment in the distribution industry on the product, value-added, and employment of other sectors are explored by using demand-driven model. Second, the national economic impacts of the distribution industry in Korea are looked into by using open model and inter-industry analysis. It can be summarized that the distribution industry has a high production-inducing effect, more worker and employment-inducing effect, a high forward and a low backward linkage effect. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study are discussed.

A Competitive Study on the Linkage Effects of Primary Industry among Korea, China and Japan (한국, 중국, 일본의 1차 산업의 생산유발효과 비교 연구)

  • This study compared the production inducement effects of primary industries between Korea, China, and Japan for the period from 2000 to 2014, by examining the forward and backward linkage effects using the World Input-Output Tables. Although research on the industrial effect of primary industries has been conducted actively, this study is contributive since it compares the differences in industrial linkage effects between Korea, China, and Japan. According to Fisher(1939)'s and Clark(1957)'s classifications of primary industries, this study classified agriculture, forestry, fishing, and mining industries as primary industries. The analysis methodology of this study is to use the World Input-Output Tables to create the industry linkage model between Korea, China, and Japan, and then conduct a comparative analysis. According to the results of this study, the forward and backward linkage effects of agriculture industry between Korea, China, and Japan are significantly different, while the forward and backward linkage effects of forestry and fishing industries between Korea, China, and Japan are partially different. By comparing the changes in industrial dependencies of primary industries due to the 4th Industrial revolution between the three countries, this study suggested the future development direction of primary industries.

An Analysis of Economic Ripple Effect on the Knowledge Service Industry (지식서비스산업의 경제적 파급효과 분석)

  • In this study, we have measured the effects on production inducement, added value inducement, employment inducement and backward and forward linkage regarding the knowledge service industry in Korea. It turns out that the knowledge service industry greatly contributes to increase of added value and employment creation while highly withholds to effect on production inducement and backward and forward linkage effects. In recent, government seeks out new growth driver out of the knowledge service industry. We have found the fact that its direction should be 'production growth of the knowledge service industry' through this study.

A Study on the Backward and Forward Linkage Effects among Korea, China and Japan by International Input-Output Analysis (한·중·일 3국간 전후방연쇄 효과의 변화와 특징)

  • This study analyzed backward and forward linkage effects among Korea, China and Japan by International Input-Output(I-O) tables. Index of dispersion power and sensitivity degrees were measured after making 'Korea, China and Japan International Input-Output(I-O) Table'. The study showed that the inter-dependency between Korea and China was increased while the influences of Japanese was decreased among the 3 countries. Under the de-industrialization, the 3 countries decreased influences over their domestic industry but increased the inter-dependency over the other countries. In addition, backward and forward linkage effects was significantly high in some industrial sectors such as petroleum, transportation, machinery equipment, service and public administration in 3 countries. In the case of service, the linkage effects among the 3 countries increased which means that the roles and inter-dependency of service was also gradually increasing in 3 countries.

  • 본 논문에서는 비선형 동적해석법을 이용하여 감쇠기의 적용이 철골조 건물의 연쇄붕괴 방지에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 단자유도 구조물에서 감쇠비의 변화에 따라 폭발하중이 구조물의 응답에 미치는 영향을 분석하였고, 15층 3경간 철골조 건물에서는 일정한 감쇠비 하에서 경간을 6m, 9m, 12m로 달리 하면서 감쇠기 설치 효과를 비교하였다. 단자유도 시스템의 경우 감쇠비가 증가 할수록 폭발하중에 의한 진동이 빠르게 감소하고 변위의 감소폭도 커지는 경향을 보였다. 15층 철골조 건물에서도 역시 감쇠기를 설치할 경우 수직 처짐 및 초기 진동을 제어하는 효과가 있었다. 구조물의 경간이 증가하여 수직 변위가 증가 할수록, 감쇠기에 의해 소산된 에너지도 증가하기 때문에 수직 처짐 제어효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다.

The Propagation Effects on the Regional Economy Induced by U-City Construction in Wha-sung and Dong-tan City (U-City 구축에 따른 지역경제 파급효과 - 화성.동탄지역을 중심으로 -)

  • This study is unlike common Input-Output Analysis in the point that both RAS and methods are applied to the dynamic Input-Output Model simultaneously. We have analyzed the propagation effects on the regional economy from the investment generated by u-City construction in Wha-sung and Dong-tan City. The main results of the study are as follows. The total induced effect on production according to u-City construction in Wha-sung and Dong-tan City is estimated about 2.9 times. On the other hand, u-City industry is appreciated as a industry which a forward linkage effect is very high while a backward linkage effect is not that high.

  • 물 공급 지장의 경제적 파급 효과를 분석하기 위해 한국은행이 2007년 발간한 2003년 지역산업연관모형을 이용하였다. 특히 가뭄의 발생은 지역적인 특성을 가지고 있어서 지역에 따라 피해도 다르게 나타날 것이다. 우선적으로 배분해야할 각 산업의 순위도 지역별로 달라지게 될 것이다. 따라서 전국산업연관표를 이용하여 물 공급의 지장비용을 분석하였을 때보다 구체적으로 효율적인 물 배분에 대한 정보를 제공할 수 것이다. 특히 기존에는 지역별 물 공급 지장 비용을 계측하기 위하여 주로 전국산업연관표 이용하여 각 지역별 산업연관표를 간접 추계하여 사용하였다. 이 방식은 방법론에 따른 오차 존재 가능성이 크기 때문에 신뢰도가 결여된다. 그러나 본 연구는 한국은행의 2003년 실측(survey-based method) 지역산업연관표를 이용하였기 때문에 기존 연구보다 신뢰성있는 연구가 될 것이다. 추정결과, 우리나라 수도산업의 특징은 지역내 파급 효과가 지역간 파급 효과보다 큰 자급자족형 산업인 것으로 나타났다. 전후방연쇄효과도 거의 모든 지역에서 1이상으로 나타났고 후방연쇄효과가 가장 큰 지역은 경남지역으로 나타났다. 서울권과 경남권에서 만 원어치만큼 물 공급되지 않을 경우 해당 지역의 산업에 각각 130만 원과 57만 원의 피해 비용이 발생한다.

An Analysis on the Prevention Effects of Forward and Chain Collision based on Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication (차량 간 통신 기반 전방추돌 및 연쇄추돌 방지 효과 분석)

  • The forward collision of vehicles in high speed can cause a chain collisions and high fatality rate. Most of the forward collisions are caused by insufficient braking distance due to detection time of driver and safe distance. Also, accumulated detection time of driver is cause of chain collisions after the forward collision. The FVCWS prevents the forward collision by maintaining the safety distance inter-vehicle and reducing detection time of driver. However the FVCWS can cause chain collisions because the system that interacts only forward vehicle has accumulated detection time of driver. In this paper, we analyze forward and chain collisions of normal vehicles and FVCWS vehicles on static traveling scenario. And then, we analyze and compare V2V based FVCWS with them after explaining the system. The V2V FVCWS reduces detection time of driver alike FVCWS as well as remove accumulated detection time of driver by broadcasting emergence message to backward vehicles at the same time. Therefore, the system decrease possibility of forward and chain collisions. All backward normal vehicles and 3~4 backward FVCWS vehicles have possibility of forward and chain collisions in result of analysis. However V2V FVCWS vehicles almost do not chain collisions in the result.

산업연관분석을 이용한 의료자동화 산업의 경제적 파급효과 분석

  • 최근 인구의 고령화 추세 확대와 함께 건강 증진에 대한 인식고조 등으로 의료 산업에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 이에 세계 각국에서는 의료산업의 중요성이 더욱 증대되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 추세에 맞춰 산업연관표를 이용하여 의료자동화 산업의 경제적 파급효과 분석을 통해 정책적 시사점을 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이에 산업연관분석을 활용하여 의료자동화 산업의 생산유발효과와 부가가치유발효과, 그리고 전후방 연쇄효과를 통하여 경제적 파급효과를 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구는 의료자동화 산업의 경제적 파급효과에 주목하여 의료 자동화 산업이 우리나라 경제에 미치는 영향 등을 최초로 분석하였으며, 다양한 파급효과 도출을 통해 정부 정책 판단의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

A Markov Chain Representation of Statistical Process Monitoring Procedure under an ARIMA(0,1,1) Model (ARIMA(0,1,1)모형에서 통계적 공정탐색절차의 MARKOV연쇄 표현)

  • In the economic design of the process control procedure, where quality is measured at certain time intervals, its properties are difficult to derive due to the discreteness of the measurement intervals. In this paper a Markov chain representation of the process monitoring procedure is developed and used to derive its properties when the process follows an ARIMA(0,1,1) model, which is designed to describe the effect of the noise and the special cause in the process cycle. The properties of the Markov chain depend on the transition matrix, which is determined by the control procedure and the process distribution. The derived representation of the Markov chain can be adapted to most different types of control procedures and different kinds of process distributions by obtaining the corresponding transition matrix.
