In this paper, the residual delay compensation algorithm is proposed for FX-type KJJVC. In case of initial version as that design algorithm of KJJVC, the integer calculation and the cos/sin table for the phase compensation coefficient were introduced in order to speed up of calculation. The mismatch between data timing and residual delay phase and also between bit-jump and residual delay phase were found and fixed. In final design of KJJVC residual delay compensation algorithm, the initialization problem on the rotation memory of residual delay compensation was found when the residual delay compensated value was applied to FFT-segment, and this problem is also fixed by modifying the FPGA code. Using the proposed residual delay compensation algorithm, the band shape of cross power spectrum becomes flat, which means there is no significant loss over the whole bandwidth. To verify the effectiveness of proposed residual delay compensation algorithm, we conducted the correlation experiments for real observation data using the simulator and KJJVC. We confirmed that the designed residual delay compensation algorithm is well applied in KJJVC, and the signal to noise ratio increases by about 8%.
B+-Tree is the most popular indexing method in DBMS to manage large size data in more efficiency. However the existing B+-Tree has shortcomings in there is overhead on DISK/IO when the first time of constructing DB or of making Index, and it lessens the concurrency if there are frequent delete operations so that the index structure also should be changed frequently. To solve these problems almost DBMS is using batch construction method and lazy deletion method. But to apply B+-Tree, which is using batch construction method and lazy deletion method, into DBMS the technique for controlling and recovering concurrency is necessary, but its researching is still unsatisfactory so that there is a problem on applying it into actual systems. On this paper I suggest the technique for controlling and recovering concurrency how to implement the batch construction method and the lazy deletion method in actual DBMS. Through the suggested technique there is no cascade rollback by using Pending list, it enhances the concurrency by enabling insertion and deletion for base table on every reconstruction, and it shortens transaction response time for user by using system queue which makes the batch constructing operation is processed not in user's transaction level but in system transaction level.

Studies on binary adder have been variously developed. According to those studies of critical worst delay and mean delay time of asynchronous binary adders, carry select adders (CSA) based on hybrid structure showed 17% better performance than ripple carry adders (RCA) in 32 bit asynchronous processors, and 23% better than in 64 bit microprocessor implemented. In the complicated signal processing systems such as RSA, it is essential to optimize the performance of binary adders which play fundamental roles. The researches which have been studied so far were subject mostly to addition algorithms or adder structures. In this study, we analyzed and designed adders in an asp;ect of synthesis method. We divided the ways of implementing adders into groups, each of which was synthesized with different synthesis options. Also, we analyzed the variously implemented adders to evaluate the performance and area so that we can propose a different approach of designing optimal binary adders.

In this paper, parallel decimal fixed-point multiplier which uses the limited range of Singed-Digit number encoding and the reduction step is proposed. The partial products are generated without carry propagation delay by encoding a multiplicand and a multiplier to the limited range of SD number. With the limited range of SD number, the proposed multiplier can improve the partial product reduction step by increasing the number of possible operands for multi-operand SD addition. In order to estimate the proposed parallel decimal multiplier, synthesis is implemented using Design Compiler with SMIC 180nm CMOS technology library. Synthesis results show that the delay of proposed parallel decimal multiplier is reduced by 4.3% and the area by 5.3%, compared to the existing SD parallel decimal multiplier. Despite of the slightly increased delay and area of partial product generation step, the total delay and area are reduced since the partial product reduction step takes the most proportion.

Request operations and release operations occur repeatedly in resource allocation systems. The process requesting a resource acquires one by any priority-based mechanism, and returns the resource after some periods. In this system, resource failures lead to delay of resource allocation, or to termination of process holding the failed resource. To analyze this process effectively, this paper designs a probabilistic ACSR, a process algebra that extends ACSR with the probabilistic choice operation. The ability to express/analyze both request-release rates and failure-recovery rates is illustrated using probabilistic ACSR.

Recently, with the advance of wireless internet and the frequent use of mobile devices, demand for LBS(Location Based Service) is increasing, and research is required on spatial indexes for the storage and maintenance of spatial data to provide efficient LBS in mobile device environments. In addition, the use of flash memory as an auxiliary storage device is increasing in order to store large spatial data in a mobile terminal with small storage space. However, the application of existing spatial indexes to flash-memory lowers index performance due to the frequent updates of nodes. To solve this problem, research is being conducted on flash-memory based spatial indexes, but the efficiency of such spatial indexes is lowered by low utilization of buffer and flash-memory space. Accordingly, in order to solve problems in existing flash-memory based spatial indexes, this paper proposed FR-Tree (Flash-Memory based R-Tree) that uses the node compression technique and the delayed write operation technique. The node compression technique of FR-Tree increased the utilization of flash-memory space by compressing MBR(Minimum Bounding Rectangle) of spatial data using relative coordinates and MBR size. And, the delayed write operation technique reduced the number of write operations in flash memory by storing spatial data in the buffer temporarily and reflecting them in flash memory at once instead of reflecting the insert, update and delete of spatial data in flash-memory for each operation. Especially, the utilization of buffer space was enhanced by preventing the redundant storage of the same spatial data in the buffer. Finally, we perform ed various performance evaluations and proved the superiority of FR-Tree to the existing spatial indexes.

In distributed spatial data stream processing, processed tuples of downstream nodes are replicated to the upstream node in order to increase the utilization of distributed nodes and to recover the whole system for the case of system failure. However, while the data input rate increases and multiple downstream nodes share the operation result of the upstream node, the data which stores to output queues as a backup can be lost since the deletion operation delay may be occurred by the delay of the tuple processing of upstream node. In this paper, the adaptive upstream backup scheme based on operation throughput in distributed spatial data stream system is proposed. This method can cut down the average load rate of nodes by efficient spatial operation migration as it processes spatial temporal data stream, and it can minimize the data loss by fluid change of backup mode. The experiments show the proposed approach can prevent data loss and can decrease, on average, 20% of CPU utilization by node monitoring.

This paper proposes a novel low-cost and high-speed Reed-Solomon (RS) decoder based on a new degree computationless modified Euclid´s (DCME) algorithm. This architecture has quite low hardware complexity compared with conventional modified Euclid´s (ME) architectures, since it can remove completely the degree computation and comparison circuits. The architecture employing a systolic away requires only the latency of 2t clock cycles to solve the key equation without initial latency. In addition, the DCME architecture using 3t+2 basic cells has regularity and scalability since it uses only one processing element. The RS decoder has been synthesized using the 0.25${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Faraday CMOS standard cell library and operates at 200MHz and its data rate suppots up to 1.6Gbps. For tile (255, 239, 8) RS code, the gate counts of the DCME architecture and the whole RS decoder excluding FIFO memory are only 21,760 and 42,213, respectively. The proposed RS decoder can reduce the total fate count at least 23% and the total latency at least 10% compared with conventional ME architectures.
