  • Gas fueling systems operated in the mode of a fixed valve opening at a constant line pressure, and the mode of a constant inlet flow are simulated to establish the relationships between the gas flow pattern and the tube dimensions under various system conditions.

  • Fuel oil mostly used for a ship is made from crude oil by refining process. In order to produce plenty of high-quality fuel oil, the Fluid catalytic cracking(FCC) method is widely adopted to many refinery factories during the decomposition process from high molecule into lower molecule. The major constituents in spent FCC catalysts are Si, Al, Fe, Ti, alkali metals and some others. The spent catalyst is also composed small amounts of rare metals such as Ce, Nd, Ni and V. The big problem in FCC oil is mixing the catalyst in the oil. This reason is unstable separation of FCC catalyst in separator. Such a FCC catalyst will become a reason of heavy wear down in moving parts of engine. The impurity in oil is ash and deposit compound, such as Al, Si, Ni, Fe and V, which will accelerate the wear down on fuel pump, fuel injection valve cylinder liner and piston ring. It is important to find a basic reason of an engine trouble for preventing similar troubles anymore. Insurance compensation will be different according to the reason of an engine trouble which might be natural abrasion or other external causes. In this study, types and reasons of engine troubles related to fuel oil will be covered.

Changes in forest fire fuel amount in a Chamaecyparis obtusa forest according to stand density control (편백림 임분밀도 조절에 따른 유기물층의 산불 연료량 변화)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the effects of stand density on fire fuel (FF) changes in a Chamaecyparis obtusa forest. The study site was located in Mt. Munsu in Jeollabuk-do and consisted of a control, 30% thinning treatment(LT), and 50% thinning treatment(HT). Three-year-old seedlings were planted at a density of 3,000trees ha-1 in 1976, and thinning was carried out in 2000. FF production was measured every 2 months by installing 3 circular litter traps 1.2m above the ground. Litter bags containing 5g of each leaf and branch were made and buried in the organic layer to investigate the FF decomposition rate. The decay constant was calculated after 18 months. FF accumulation was measured by collecting dry-weight organic matter from each plot using a square frame (0.09 m2) in September 2018. The FF production in LT and HT was significantly lower than that of the control(P<0.001). The leaf decay constant for HT was significantly lower than that of the control (P<0.05). The FF accumulation in HT was significantly lower than that of the control (P<0.01), but LT was not significantly different from the control. The results of this study showed that thinning decreased FF production.

  • Elastic-Plastic structural analysis was performed to evaluate structural characteristic and integrity for rocket motor case of solid propulsion system. The structural analyses were compared and evaluated using the simplified 2-D axisymmetric model and 3-D full model for rocket motor case with torispherical dome type. And pre-tension load for bolt model was considered in structural analysis. The results of displacement and stress for the simplified 2-D axisymmetric model and 3-D full model were in an good agreement with each other. Therefore, the simplified 2-D axisymmetric model for rocket motor case was recommended to verify quickly the structural integrity and save the modeling and calculating time in initial design stage. Also, the structural characteristic and integrity for rocket motor case according to 5 dome types was evaluated to select the optimal dome shape.

  • 경유자동차는 연료 특성상 매연을 포함한 입자상물질을 다량 배출하고 있으며, 이러한 디젤입자상물질은 인체에 유해한 발암성 및 돌연변이원성 물질들을 함유하고 있기 때문에 호흡 등을 통한 인체 유입시 건강에 매우 유해하다. 그러므로 디젤입자상물질을 저감시키기 위한 여러 가지 기술들 중 발생된 배출가스가 배기관을 통해 대기중으로 배출되기 전에 엔진 연소실과 배기관 사이에 후처리장치와 같은 기술들을 이용하여 이를 저감시키고 있다. 본 연구에서는 후처리장치들 중 세라믹필터에 백금과 같은 산화성이 우수한 촉매를 코팅하여 만든 촉매식 매연여과장치(DPF ; diesel particulate filter, SK제공)를 사용하였을 때 입자저감성능 및 입자크기별 분포특성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 통해 도시대기오염 저감대책을 기초자료 및 환경학적, 보건학적 연구에 적극 활용하고자 한다.   • Water transport through the microporous membrane was modeled considering capillary condensation as well as capillary flow in porous media as a function of pore diameter and relative humidity at the surface. The present model was adopted by the numerical simulation of non-isothermal, non-homogenous flow in a shell and tube typed gas to gas membrane humidifier for PEMFC (proton exchange membrane fuel cell) and the result shows good agreement with experimental data.

  • The moving load such as a shock wave in a pipe propagates with a specific velocity. This internal load speed determines the level of flexural wave excitation and the possibility of resonant response leading to a large deformation. In this paper, we present particular solutions of displacements and the resonance conditions when the moving load is propagating in a pipe. These analytical results are compared to numerical simulations obtained using a hydrocode. We expect to identify potential explosion hazards in the general power industries.

KALIMER 98.03 설계 노심의 열수력 특성 분석

  • 전기출력 150 MWe(열출력 392 MWth)의 U-Zr 이원합금핵연료 사용 소형노심인 액채금속로 KALIMER 98.03 설계 노심에 대하여 열수력 특성을 분석하고, 그 결과를 97.07 설계 노심의 열수력 설계특성과 비교.분석하였다. 분석을 위해서 냉각재 유량배분 계산에 ORFCE-F, 유량배분에 따를 온도계산에는 ORFCE-T를 사용하였는데, 이들은 현재 KALIMER 개발의 개념설계 초기 단계에서 사용하고 있는 모듈이다. 열수력 특성 분석은 먼저 각 집합체의 출력과 핵연료봉의 최고 선출력에 따라 유량그룹을 설정하고, 각 집합체의 최고온도 연료봉에 대하여 냉각재 온도, 피복관 중심온도, 핵연료 중심온도 등을 계산하는 방식으로 수행한다 열수력 특성분석 결과 98.03 설계 노심이 97.07 설계 노심에 비해 노심내 출력분포가 더욱 평탄화 되어, 노심 유량영역은 16개에서 11개로 감소되었고, 그에 따를 온도계산에서도 피복관 중심에서의 2$\sigma$ 온도가 6$65^{\circ}C$에서 628$^{\circ}C$로 낮아지는 둥 매우 향상된 설계임을 알 수 있었다.

  • FCC (Fluid Catalystic Cracking) 장치는 중질유의 원유와 잔사유로부터 가솔린과 heating oil. 디젤연료 제조 등에 사용되고 있다. 이 장치는 50년 동안 fine-powder 유동화에 중요하게 응용되고 있으며, 현재 세계적으로 약 350여 개의 장치가 조업되고 있다. FCC 장치에서 미세한 분해촉매는 촉매에 의한 중질유의 분해가 일어나는 상승관 (riser)과 촉매의 재생이 일어나는 재생반응기(regenerator) 사이에서 높은 속도로 순환되고 있다. (중략)
