Approaches to Improve Korean Advanced Network Based on the Analysis of Global Research and Education Networks (선진 연구 교육망의 현황 분석을 통한 한국 첨단망의 발전 방안 연구)

  • In the last decades, inter-networking technologies advanced more rapidly than any other field. Today, the Internet is one of the most important infrastructure to society as becoming an indispensible tool of people and companies. During mid-1990's, developed countries recognized the advanced network as a basic infrastructure for the future science and technology development. They developed national research and education networks for the development of future science and network technology. In this paper, we made a comprehensive review of global research and education network developments. We also made analysis of Korea's activities on advanced network comparing with those of developed nations, then suggested approaches to improve Korean advanced networks.

A Training Case Study of Deep Learning Artificial Neural Networks for Teacher Educations (교사교육을 위한 딥러닝 인공신경망 교육 사례 연구)

  • In this paper, a case of deep learning artificial neural network education was studied for artificial intelligence literacy education for preservice teachers and incumbent teachers. In addition, through the proposed educational case, we tried to explore the contents of artificial neural network principle education that elementary, middle and high school students can experience. To this end, first, an example of training on the principle of operation of an artificial neural network that recognizes two types of images is presented. And as an artificial neural network extension application education case, an artificial neural network education case for recognizing three types of images was presented. The number of output layers was changed according to the number of images to be recognized by the artificial neural network, and the cases implemented in a spreadsheet were divided and explained. In addition, in order to experience the operation results of the artificial neural network, we presented the educational contents to directly write the learning data necessary for the artificial neural network of the supervised learning method. In this paper, the implementation of the artificial neural network and the recognition test results are visually presented using a spreadsheet.

An Educational Case Study of Image Recognition Principle in Artificial Neural Networks for Teacher Educations (교사교육을 위한 인공신경망 이미지인식원리 교육사례연구)

  • In this paper, an educational case that can be applied as artificial intelligence literacy education for preservice teachers and incumbent teachers was studied. To this end, a case of educating the operating principle of an artificial neural network that recognizes images is proposed. This training case focuses on the basic principles of artificial neural network operation and implementation, and applies the method of finding parameter optimization solutions required for artificial neural network implementation in a spreadsheet. In this paper, we focused on the artificial neural network of supervised learning method. First, as an artificial neural network principle education case, an artificial neural network education case for recognizing two types of images was proposed. Second, as an artificial neural network extension education case, an artificial neural network education case for recognizing three types of images was proposed. Finally, the results of analyzing artificial neural network training cases and training satisfaction analysis results are presented. Through the proposed training case, it is possible to learn about the operation principle of artificial neural networks, the method of writing training data, the number of parameter calculations executed according to the amount of training data, and parameter optimization. The results of the education satisfaction survey for preservice teachers and incumbent teachers showed a positive response result of over 70% for each survey item, indicating high class application suitability.

Correlation Between Social Network Centrality and College Students' Performance in Blended Learning Environment (블렌디드 러닝 환경에서 사회 연결망 중심도와 학습자 성과 간의 상관관계)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of social network centrality variables on students' performance in blended learning environment in a higher educational institution. Using data from 36-student course on Learning Theories and Their Implications on Instructional Design Practices, the researcher empirically tested how social network centrality variables - such as friendship network centrality, advice network centrality, and adversary network centrality - are correlated with academic achievement measures. Results indicate, as hypothesized, the friendship and advice centrality positively correlate with, whereas the adversary centrality being negatively correlate with application performance measures and test scores. The size and quality of posted online discussions are positively and strongly correlated with the advice network centrality.

The Analysis on the KAIE Articles using Social Network Analysis (사회연결망 분석을 활용한 정보교육학회 논문 분석)

  • Recently, a number of researches focus on social network analysis and it is applied to various fields not only in social science area but also in natural science area. Therefore, the social network analysis and the text analysis were conducted in order to analyze the current trend of the theses in information education field. The result indicated that the most frequently mentioned words were consistent with the development of information technology and the change in information education curriculum. That is, the mentioned words were computer aided instruction (CAI) and courseware for period 1, ICT for period 2, smart and scratch for period 3, and in period 4, computational thinking ability and coding appeared for the first time. Moreover, as the result of social network analysis, it concluded the research topics became more complicated and detailed as the words diversified throughout the period in which the simplified network in period 1 changed its configuration into a structure with more diversified words of higher centrality.

Mediating Effects of the Functions of Parent's Social Networks between Parent's Socioeconomic Status and Parent Involvement: Comparison of Single-mother and Two-parent Families (한부모 어머니의 사회·경제적 배경과 교육적 관여의 관계에서 사회관계망 기능의 매개효과: 양부모 가정 어머니와의 비교 연구)

  • The present study investigated the mediating effects of parents' social networks on the relationship between parents' socioeconomic status and parent involvement. Parent involvement in the current study was composed of home-based and school-based involvement. Home-based involvement includes providing learning environment at home, guiding child's study habits, and providing educational and financial support. School-based involvement includes supporting child's school-related activities, participating at parent meetings and volunteering, and home-school communication. The subjects were 132 single mothers and 164 mothers from two-parent families, whose children are fifth and sixth graders in Seoul and Incheon. Structural Equational Modeling was used for the analysis by adopting SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results showed that single mothers and mothers from two-parent families differ in their structural models. For mothers from two-parent families, socioeconomic status was directly related to home-based and school-based involvement. In contrast, single mother's socioeconomic status only influenced home-based and school-based involvement indirectly through the functional aspects of mother's social networks. The results suggest that parent counseling and parent education programs might be more effective if they encouraged single mothers to exchange resources through their social networks in order to promote parent involvement in elementary schools.

  • 제7차 교육과정에서는 초등학교에서의 인터넷 소양을 권장하고 있다. 인터넷을 교육에 활용하는 형태는 다양하지만 학교에서 이루어지는 활용은 정보검색이 주된 목표가 되고 있다. 학교서버를 구성하거나 도입하여 교육적으로 활용하는 방법에는 여러 가지가 있겠지만 본 연구에서는 리눅스를 이용한 서버를 구성하도록 제안하며 서버의 구성시 고려해야 할 점과 학교망에서 인터넷 서버로서 활용할 수 있도록 제안하고 있다. 학생과 교사간, 학교와 학부모간에 일어지는 교육활동의 한 부분과 교사의 업무를 인터넷 망을 이용하여 효율적으로 이용하다는 것은 교육의 참여도를 높여줄 뿐만 아니라 정보화에 대비하는 미래교육이 될 수 있는 것이다.

A Study on the Model of Artificial Neural Network for Construction Cost Estimation of Educational Facilities at Conceptual Stage (교육시설의 개념단계 공사비예측을 위한 인공신경망모델 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is propose an Artificial Neural Network(ANN) model for the construction estimate of the public educational facility at conceptual stage. The current method for the preliminary cost estimate of the public educational facility uses a single-parameter which is based on basic criteria such as a gross floor area. However, its accuracy is low due to the nature of the method. When the difference between the conceptual estimate and detailed estimate is huge, the project has to be modified to meet the established budget. Thus, the ANN model is developed by using multi-parameters in order to estimate the project budget cost more accurately. The result of the research shows 6.82% of the testing error rates when the developed model was tested. The error rates and the error range of the developed model are smaller than those of the general preliminary estimating model at conceptual stage. Since the proposed ANN model was trained using the detailed estimate information of the past 5 years' school construction data, it is expected to forecast the school project cost accurately.

  • If we are using SNMP based network management systems and we need to manage new OSI based network elements, we have to develop new network management system. Most of the networks, which are composed of diverse. heterogeneous network nodes, are managed by CMIP based management system. The development of new management system, however, is very costly. In this paper, we show the design and implementation of the SNMP based network management system with minor changes for the management of OSI network and network elements.

건설현장 안전교육 효율화 문제점 도출

  • 건설산업은 국가발전의 초기 단계에서 유통망의 확보 및 제조시설의 확보과정에서 대단히 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 현재 우리나라는 국가 도로망의 정비가 일정수준이상 진행된 상태이며, 제조시설 역시 IMF이후 시설 투자가 감소하면서 건설경기가 침체되어 있는 것이 사실이다. 따라서 대규모의 건설현장은 감소하고 소규모의 도로망 확장공사 및 공동주택 재개발등이 건설경기의 맥을 겨우 잇고 있는 것이 현실이다. 건설경기의 침체와 더불어 안전시설 투자와 안전관리의 공동화현상이 빚어지고 있으며 이로 인해 안전사고가 급증하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 안전시설투자에 대한 부담을 줄이고 안전교육의 효율을 극대화함으로써 안전사고를 예방할 수 있는 방법을 연구 하고자 한다.(중략)
