A study about the evaluation structure to visual environment of stairs in station-Comparison with old people and a young people- (역계단의 시환경 평가구조에 관한 연구 -고령자층과 젊은층의 비교-)

  • 본 연구는, 60세 이상의 고령자층과 20대의 청년층 피험자, 두 그룹을 대상으로 평가그리드법에 의한 면접조사을 실시하여, 고령자층과 청년층이 어떻게 계단 시환경을 평가하고 있는가, 즉, 고령자와 청년의 피험자 속성에 의한 평가구조의 차에 대해 고찰하였다. 면접조사 결과, 계단의 시환경평가구조모델이 작성되었으며 이 평가구조모델로부터 인상평가실험에 사용할 평가척도로써 20개의 형용사가 추출되었다. 또한, 고령자층과 청년층의 피험자는 <개방적인 면><심리적안심감의 면><기능적인 면><신체적인 면><디자인적인 면>의 크게 5가지 관점에서 계단 시환경을 평가하고 있는 것이 밝혀졌다. 그러나, 젊은층의 경우는, 전체에 걸쳐 항목의 수가 많고, 추상적인 항목에서부터 물리저긴 항목에 이르기까지 상세하게 대답하는 경향이 보였다. 고령자는 항목의 수가 전체적으로 적으며 특히 디자인측면에 관한 항목의 수가 젊은층에 비해 현저하게 적게 나타났다. 고령자의 경우는 신체적측면에 관한 항목이 상세하게 대답되어져, 계단의 시환경평가에 있어서 젊은층과 달리 신체적인 것을 강하게 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • 유럽에는 '이탈리아의 캄포디멜라에 가서 살면 적어도 85세까지는 보장된다'는 말이 있다고 한다. 캄포디멜라는 이탈리아의 수도 로마에서 남쪽으로 약 150km 떨어진 곳에 있는 작은 마을이다. 지도를 찾아보니 캄포디멜라에서 가장 가까운 역은 이트리(Itri)역이다. 캄포디멜라에 가기 위해 오전 9시 45분에 로마의 중앙역인 테르미니역에서 포미아(Formia)행 기차에 몸을 실었다. 기차가 출발한 지 한 시간 반 만에 이트리역에 도착했다.

The Effect of Stair Depth on Ground Reaction Force Parameters - Asymmetric and Variability Indices - (계단보행 시 계단 너비가 지면반력 파라미터에 미치는 영향 -비대칭 지수 및 일관성 지수-)

  • The goals of this study were to provide data of 3 dimensional ground reaction force(GRF) parameters during stair ascent and descent on three different stair runs and to investigate variability and asymmetry index of them. 10 healthy adults participated in this study and performed 7 different types of gait with 10 trials each. After data analysis, following results were found. Firstly, stair run did not affect on the pattern of GRF parameters, coefficient of variation and asymmetry index. Secondly, a significant different GRF pattern was found between level walking and stair walking. Especially, ascending stair walking has only large Fz1 and small Fz3 while level walking and descending stair walking have a "M" shape connected by Fz1, Fz2 and Fz3. Thirdly, only vertical GRF parameters of stair walking revealed acceptable coefficient of variation and asymmetry index.

A Kinetic Analysis of the Lower Extremity during Walking on Three Different Stair width in Healthy Adults (성인 계단보행 시 계단 너비에 따른 하지의 운동역학적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate kinetic variables of the lower extremity during walking on three different stair widths in healthy adults. Ten healthy college-aged adults($23.5{\pm}3.5$) recruited for this study. Each stairs with the same height and length(l8cm and 90cm) under the Korean Constructional Law but three different widths(26cm, 31cm and 36cm) were conducted for this study. One force plate(9286AA, Kistler Co.) was put on third stairs. One-way ANOVA was performed to find the stair width effects during stair walking and the following findings ware obtained. There was significantly decreased in ankle resultant joint moment at Pull-Up phase(p<.05) and, significantly increased in knee extension moment during mid-stance phase as stair width increase(p<.05), but there was no significance in ankle resultant joint moment was found at Forward Continuance Phase in Ascending Stair Walking and There was significantly increased in ankle resultant joint moment as stair width increase during mid-stance phase(p<.05) and no significance in knee and hip resultant moments among the stair width in descending stair walking.

Kinematic Analysis of Lower Extremities during Stairs and Ramp Climbing with Older Adults (노인의 계단과 경사로 오르기 동안 하지의 운동학적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinemaitc gait parameter of lower extremities with different gait conditions(level walking, stairs, ramp) in old adults. Fourteen healthy older adults participated in this study and kinematic data were measured using 3D motion analysis system(Vicon, Oxford Metrics, England). Statistical analysis was used one-way ANOVA to know the difference of lower extremities angle at each gait phase with a different gait conditions. In sagittal plane, pelvic anterior tilt increased in stairs and ramp climbing and hip and knee flexion increased in stairs climbing but ankle dorsiflexion increased in ramp climbing. In frontal plane, pelvic was up in stairs and hip abduction and adduction more changed in stairs climbing than level walking. Knee varus and ankle inversion increased in stair climbing. In horizontal plane, pelvic internal rotation increased in stairs and ramp climbing and knee internal rotation increased in stairs climbing but ankle external rotation increased in stairs climbing. This results was shown that the stairs and ramp climbing changed the kinematic gait parameters of lower extremities in healthy old adults.

  • In this paper, dielectric waveguide gratings, which can be applied to the nonreciprocal devices such as isolators, are proposed. Those grating structures can be considered as cascade connections of step discontinuities between uniform dielectric waveguides and another uniform dielectric waveguides with a ferrite layer. Therefore, the nonreciprocal scattering characteristics of such gratings can be obtained form the scattering characteristics of step discontinuities and uniform dielectric wave guides. For the periodic grating structures, band-reject characteristics can be located inside or outside the frequency range of interest. Numerical analyses are performed at 35GHz and experimental results at X-band are also presented.

Effects of small dam in a stream on benthic macro-invertebrate community (계류의 소형보가 저서성 대형무척추동물의 군집 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • To determine the effects of small dam on benthic macro-invertebrate community, benthic macro-invertebrates were surveyed with both quantitative and qualitative collecting methods from 4 sites at a terraced interval (3.02 small dams per 100 m) and from 5 sites at a non-terraced interval (0.96 small dams per 100 m) in upper reach of Dorim stream, Seoul. The average water flow rate was higher at the non-terraced interval (0.149 m/s) than at the terraced interval (0.043 m/s). Diptera, which prefer slow water flow or lentic habitats, appeared more abundantly in the terraced interval (78.3%) than in the non-terraced interval (32.0%)(p<.05). Ephemeroptera, which prefer fast water flow or lotic habitats, appeared more abundantly in the non-terraced interval (14.1%) than in the terraced interval (4.5%)(p=.203). There was a difference in species distribution of Trichoptera in terraced and non-terraced intervals depending on preferred environment. In the terraced interval, the occupancy ratio of gathering-collector was 1.8 times higher than in the non-terraced interval (p<.05). In contrast, filtering-collector appeared to be about 4.4 times higher rate in the terraced interval (p=.124). The evenness indexes (J′) were found to be 0.41 and 0.77, respectively in terraced area and non-terraced intervals. KSI, evaluating biological water quality, showed an average of 4.0 and 2.4 respectively in terraced and non-terraced intervals. EPT/C index, indicating the balance of the community, showed an average of 0.1 and 0.7 respectively in terraced and non-terraced intervals. It suggests that we should make small dams in order to maintain biodiversity of benthic macro-invertebrates.

  • 본 연구에서는 특별피난계단의 전실에 설치되는 부속실제연설비가 화재 시 발생한 연기가 부속실 내로 역류하지 않는 급기댐퍼의 적정한 설치위치를 알아보고자 하였으며, 이를 확인하기 위하여 FDS(Fire Dynamics Simulator)을 사용 하였다. 시뮬레이션 Case 총 15가지로 구분하고, 방연풍속은 총 64개의 지점에서 측정하는 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 출입문 상부 및 하부에서 역 기류가 발행하는 Case가 있었으며, 대부분 출입문 하부에서의 연기 유입이 예상되는 경우가 많았다. 방연풍속은 측정 포인트 64점에서 관련기준에 단 한 곳도 미달하지 않고 만족하는 경우는 총 단 4가지 Case로서 매우 제한적인 것을 알 수 있었다. 그만큼 급기댐퍼의 위치 및 급기방향에 따라 부속실 제연설비의 성능이 다양하게 나타날 수 있다는 것이다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 앞으로 실물실험을 통하여 구체적인 자료가 입증되길 바라고, 더불어 부속실 제연설비의 성능을 개선하는 데 있어 도움이 되었으면 한다.

Comparison of Plantar Foot Pressure and Shift of COP among Level walking, Stairs and Slope Climbing (평지 보행 그리고 계단과 경사로 오르기 동안 압력중심 이동경로 및 족저압 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the shift of COP pathway and the plantar foot pressure among level walking and stairs and ramp climbing in young and elderly people. Plantar foot pressure was measured by MatScan system(Tekscan, USA). Statistical analysis was used One-way ANOVA to know the characteristics of peak plantar pressure during walking with different the facilities. In young adults, COP pathway during stairs climbing was slightly shorten and trended to abduct at forefoot. COP pathway during ramp climbing was also shorten but trend to adduct at forefoot. Peak plantar pressure of 2-3 metatarsal head and heel during ramp climbing was more decreased than level walking. In elderly people, COP pathway during stairs climbing was more shorten and abducted than leve walking and COP pathway during ramp climbing was more unstable than level walking. Peak plantar pressure of first metatarsal head increased at stair climbing and decreased at ramp climbing. That of second metatarsal head and heel was more decreased at ramp climbing. Conclusionally, Peak plantar pressures of each foot region generally increased and more changed during ramp climbing.

Broadband Patch Antenna with the Air-Dielectric for the Human Counting System (휴먼 카운팅 시스템을 위한 공기 유전체 층을 갖는 광대역 패치 안테나)

  • In this paper, the broadband patch antenna for human counting systems is designed and fabricated using by the air dielectric substrate. Proposed antenna has a patch structure of the square structure with a 5 mm air layer and the vertical connection between the patch antenna and CPW feeding line is realized the stepped impedance structure. Optimized antenna through a 3D EM simulator is fabricated on a jig by manufacturing an antenna jig using a 3D printer with a size of 16.6 * 16.6 * 5 mm3. Proposed antenna is measured with the maximum gain of 5.71 dBi and the VSWR of below 2:1 at a frequency of 7.2 to 9.8 GHz. Also, a half power beam width characteristic of the antenna is measured $70^{\circ}$.
