The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction of special education teachers, and to grasp the situation of those instructors, and to suggest a suitable method to increase their job satisfaction. From 21 August to 18 September 2017, an online survey was conducted on 217 special education teachers for 4 weeks. As such, the research questions were, first, is there any difference in level of job stress and job satisfaction in accordance to their variable? Second, what is the influence of job stress on job satisfaction? Following are the results on the research question. First, female teachers have higher job stress and lower job satisfaction even to those who served in public school, and over 10 years. Second, as a result of examining the effect of job stress on job satisfaction, job satisfaction decreases as job stress increases. Referring from these results, in order to lower the job stress and increase job satisfaction of special education teachers, suggestion is proposed.
This study was performed to probe the effect of exercise program on muscle strength, endurance, flexibility, pain, disability level and life satisfaction in female teachers of elementary school who complain of low back pain. For this study, 44 female teachers aged 30-50 years with mechanical low back pain of 6 months' duration, who had the structural normalities in the lumbar spine, were recruited from April 1 to July 10 1999. Twenty three out of them were assigned to the experimental group and twenty one to the control group. The exercise program consisted of education on right postures, the etiology and diagnosis of low back pain, and exercise intervention such as muscle relaxation, elongation and strengthening. With 8 weeks program, the subjects received two sessions of education and six sessions of group exercise in the 1st week, while three sessions of group exercise and four sessions of individual exercise weekly and two sessions of education during the later 7 weeks. The muscle strength and endurance were measured by Cybex 770, the flexibility by flexibility measurement machine, the intensity of pain by Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), the level of disability by Oswestry low back pain disability scale, depression by Beck depression inventory (BDI), and life satisfaction by Life satisfaction index-Z. Study measurements were taken before and after 8 weeks exercise program. Data were analyzed using paired t-test, t-test, and ANCOVA. The results were as follows ; 1. The flexors and extensors peak torque and flexors peak torque per body weight of experimental group were significantly increased at test velocities $30^{\circ}$/sec, $60^{\circ}$/sec compared with those of control group. There was no significant difference in extensors peak torque per flexors peak torque at $30^{\circ}/sec$, $60^{\circ}/sec$ between experimental and control group. 2. The flexors and extensors total work and flexors total work per body weight of experimental group were significantly increased at $120^{\circ}/sec$, compared with those of control group. 3.The flexibility of lumbar spine in experimental group was significantly increased compared with that of control group. The pains in anterior, posterior, left lateral and right lateral bending and in rotation of experimental group were significantly increased compared with those of control group. 4. The Oswestry disability scores of experimental and control group were significantly decreased, and there was no difference in the Oswestry disability score change between experimental and control group. 5. The scores of BDI of experimental group were significantly decreased compared with those of control group. Life satisfaction index-Z scores of experimental group were not changed, but those of control group were significantly decreased. There was no difference in the score change of Life satisfaction index-Z between experimental and control group. 6. ANCOVA analysis for the data variables of inhomogeneous baseline represented that there was no significant difference in extensors peak torque and extensors total work at $120^{\circ}/sec$ and extensor total work per body weight at $120^{\circ}/sec$ change between experimental group and control group. These findings indicate that the exercise program could be effective in increasing the muscle strength, endurance, flexibility and decreasing pain, improving depression in female teachers of elementary school with chronic low back pain. It is suggested that the exercise program could be an essential factor for the effective nursing intervention to the patients suffered from chronic low back pain.

In preparation for the adoption of software(SW) education in Korea by 2018, this study examined Korean teachers' perceptions and attitudes toward SW education and their relationship with teacher characteristics. By using the Stages of Concern Questionnaire, we conducted a survey of 92 teachers who participated in an introductory level of SW teacher training. The findings indicated that 1) the teachers' profile follows the typical nonuser pattern focusing on more self-concern, with the strongest intensity at Stage 0-Unconcerned and 1-Informational concern and the lowest at Stage 4-Consequence. However, teachers' stages of concern differed from the teachers' characteristics. Male teachers exhibited more concerns at Stage 4-Consequences, Stage 5-Collaboration, and Stage 6-Refocusing than female teachers. In addition, the teachers with higher SW proficiency, SW training experiences, and longer SW teaching experience showed higher intensity at Stage 4, 5, and 6 than their counterparts. The study suggests that the implementation of SW education would be effective and facilitated when teachers receive on-going and appropriate interventions and educational supports based on their individual concerns.
The objective of this study was to provide baseline information useful for developing education programs to prevent sexual harassment in schools. Survey of recognition and experiences of sexual harassment and analysis of factors associated with sexual harassment were conducted. The data were collected using questionnaires from December 9 through 28, 2002. A total of 737 female teachers in Daegu participated in the survey. The data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, ANOVA, and T-test using SPSS /WIN 11.0. The study results were as follows: 1. For teachers who have experienced sexual harassment in schools, $39.8\%$ thought that they must report to the counseling office or female teachers' meeting. On the other hand, $35.7\%$ answered that they would take passive actions such as talking to their friends or colleagues. 2. As to the mode of sexual harassment, participants regarded physical harassment $(4.06\pm0.78)$ as the prominent forms of sexual harassment, followed by visual harassment $(4.04\pm0.77)$, and verbal harassment $(3.86\pm0.81)$. Among physical harassment. 'touching a body part (shoulder, hip, hand, etc)(4.58) was recognized as prominent forms of physical harassment, while 'blocking one's path or impeding one's movement (3.48)' was recognized as least prominent forms of physical harassment. 3. As to the experiences of sexual harassment, $79.8\%$ of the female teachers had experienced sexual harassment. According to the characteristics of schools. public junior high school $(87.8\%)$, private high school $(83.4\%)$ and bisexual school $(82.5\%)$ had higher rates of sexual harassment. 4. As to the characteristics of experiences in sexual harassment. $65.3\%$ thought that sexual harassment was not serious, but $18.9\%$ thought it was serious and $2.2\%$ thought as very serious. 5. As to the characteristics of sexual harassers, $378.6\%$ were 'colleague teachers' and $8.6\%$ were 'principals and/or vice-principals'. Ninety-three percent of sexual harassers were , male' and $40.2\%$ of them were 'in their 40s'. In most cases. the offender of the sexual harassment was male teachers in the same schools. And more than half of the female teachers replied they had never had any education related to sexual harassment. which means that systematic education is quite urgent.

This study investigated the impact of grouping methods on free inquiry implementation through the use of mixed research methods. Some 113 7th graders and 2 science teachers in two middle schools participated in this study. The 113 students who participated in this study were grouped by homogeneity and heterogeneity according to scientific inquiry skills and personality types respectively, and performed free inquiry activities on the same subject for three weeks. Data were collected by means of a test on science inquiry skills and from focus group interviews with 36 students and in-depth interviews with 2 teachers. The quantitative results of this study showed that homogeneous grouping was more effective than heterogeneous grouping in improvement of scientific inquiry skills. Meanwhile, the qualitative results revealed both the students and teachers perceived that it was effective to compose a small group according to their affective quality than their cognitive quality. Particularly, most of the students preferred the method of small group from the personality types. Some students and both teachers proposed that it is necessary to collect enough information on students and to use them in mixture with the method of small group according to the affective quality.
