Two conceptually thorny issues in IT governance definition and understanding are examined and discussed. It is argued that the traditional IT governance definition, which defines governance in terms of the content of enterprise IT activity, is prone to logical inconsistency and indeterminacy. A new objectives-bound definition of IT governance is proposed as a remedy to the problem. It is proposed that the essence of the objectives-bound IT governance lies in making enterprise IT activity explicit, formal and subject to external scrutiny in its effort to achieve the effectiveness, transparency and accountability of IT. A conceptual apparatus called IT activity axes is employed to characterize and distinguish the different approaches to IT governance definition and understanding. It is suggested that IT governance can be defined using a simple frame of reference with logical consistency and coherence. The theoretical and practical implications of the IT governance definition are discussed at the end.

This paper proposes a cloud workflow model theoretically supported by the information control net modeling methodology as a cloud workflow modeling methodology that is mandatory in implementing realtime enterprise workflow management systems running with cloud computing environments. The eventual goal of the cloud workflow model proposed in this paper is to support those cloud workflow architectures reflecting the types of cloud deployment models such as private, community, public, and hybrid cloud deployment models. Moreover, the proposed model is a mathematical graph model that is extended from the information control net modeling methodology used in conventional enterprise workflow modeling, and it aims to theoretically couple this methodology with the cloud deployment models. Finally, this paper tries to verify the feasibility of the proposed model by building a possible cloud workflow architecture and its cloud workflow services on a realtime enterpeise cloud workflow management system.

Since GIS strategic implementation plan was prepared in 1995, Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) has implemented the distributed GIS at department level, which prevents various SMG organizations from data-sharing and its common utilization. To solve those problems due to the fragmented GIS structure, SMG developed an action plan for the evolution of enterprise GIS with Spatial Data Warehouse (SDW). In this context, this paper initially analyzed the conceptual architecture of SDW structure and then provided the following guidelines for 1) determining the common GIS data and framework data stored at SDW to satisfy the demand for various GIS data from many SMG departments and sub-organizations, 2) developing the data synchronization process and techniques to make effective data-sharing possible, and 3) making an action plan for enterprise GIS of other self-governmental organizations.

Enterprises utilize software development strategically within digital convergence of information technology. Software development direction of IT takes advantage of new technology through integration of across-the-board data and business process standardization and integration. But, software development environment of enterprises which globalization is accelerated gradually is doing cost-cutting effort with controls and administration about various reform activity. Nevertheless, have not normalized in customer's requirement according to project, there is visual point that excessive software development integration work and administration are necessary according as connection is not harmonious with new system. Therefore, in this study, to construct these real-time integration environment, do to propose database implementation that have productivity by deent,ing N-Tiers platform for building enterprise framework with development productivity presentation, middle(business) and data(EIS) tier that take advantage of MVC design pattern.

The Web environment of the frontend domain is increasingly competitive to preempt the new standard of presentation layer. N-Screen, a service that enables users to seamlessly use one content in various devices in Korea, is competing for market preemption by recognizing it as a core service of the future. In the cloud computing, N-screen is a typical service type. However, most of the frontend research required for groupware in enterprise environments has been limited to responsive web design for the web and native apps for mobile. Gradually, the need for MVC design patterns is increasingly widening in enterprise environments to overcome the cultural differences of companies and to support one source multi-use strategy supporting multiple devices and development productivity. Therefore, in this study, we will analyze and design JPetStore with hybrid application design based on Spring MVC, e-government standard framework environment of next generation web standard, and provide reference model of frontend hybrid apps design in future enterprise environment.

The performance of Enterprise Architecture (EA) in the Korea's public IT domain produces mixed results and responses. On the one hand, EA earns positive remarks and enthusiasm as a central government-wide IT governance framework with its significant IT budget saving records. At the same time, however, the response to EA at the department and agency level is tainted with disappointment, fatigue, and reluctance. This essay suggests that this is perhaps caused by the sterile lackluster concept of EA Business Architecture employed in the current EA practice of the enterprise. The possibility for liberating and reviving the concept of EA Business Architecture is explored. Various conceptual axes and branches of EA Business Architecture are identified based upon extensive EA field experience and observations, and discussions are made on how the concept of EA Business Architecture can be expanded and amplified on those conceptual axes and branched. The resulting EA Business Architecture conceptualization is consolidated into an illustrative typology for EA Business Architecture. In the end the theoretical and practical implications of the research are discussed along with its contribution and limitation.

In industry, it is a current trend that systems are developed by using Enterprise JavaBeans(EJB) technology for reducing the cost and the time. Thus, the architecture of EJB is getting more essential to enhance reusability, extensibility and portability of system. However little has been studied in the realm of the practical software architectures for EJB. The architecture has just bean studied in abstract level, but not in concrete level providing the method to substantiate it using the practical J2EE techniques. Just using the EJB technology doesn't guarantee the reusability of the artifacts because EJB specification provides the characteristics and architecture for only fine grained components as session and entity bean. In this paper, we propose the enterprise software architecture for the systems based on EJB and the concrete techniques for implementing that. Also, design patterns of modeling efficient enterprise architecture are represented. By analyzing both the strengths and the weaknesses of suggested design patterns, EJB design patterns which are suitable for each layer of enterprise architecture will be identified. Through the component which design patterns are applied, the architecture can support the optimized relationship between the components. Five techniques for designing components from fine grained to coarse grained based on EJB technology, and architecture design techniques including transaction and assembling techniques are proposed.

데이터를 단순히 수집하고 보관한다는 차원이 아니라 이를 가공, 활용한다는 측면을 강조한 것이 데이터 웨어하우스 개념이다. 한국IBM, 한국디지탈, 한국NCR, 한국유니시스 등 대형컴퓨터 제조업체들은 자사의 엔터프라이즈급 서버를 근간으로 한 데이터 웨어하우스 솔루션을 주력사업으로 내세우며, 현재 유통, 금융, 통신시장으로 파고들고 있다. 그러나 데이터 웨어하우스를 구축하기 위해서는 적지않은 비용이 들기 때문에 시장이 만개되기 위해서는 다소 시간이 걸릴 것으로 전망된다.
