엑스트라넷은 기업협력간 업무처리 또는 인증된 고객에게 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 사설망 서비스를 제공한다. 최근에는 비용이나 보안적 측면을 고려하여 기업간에 VPN을 이용한 엑스트라넷 구축이 활성화되고 있다. 엑스트라넷 VPN 구축 시 필요한 터널링 및 프로토콜은 아직까지 국내에서 표준화에 기반한 적용방안이나 권고가 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 엑스트라넷 VPN 구현형태에 따라 인트라넷 VPN과 원격접속 VPN으로 구분하여 터널링 및 프로토콜의 기능 및 성능을 비교 분석하여 두 가지 구분에 요구되는 서비스와 보안에 따라 효율적으로 터널링 및 프로토콜을 적용하는 방안에 대하여 논하고자 한다.

최근의 기업의 업무관련 네트워크가 인터넷의 발달, 글로벌(Global)경영, 전자상거래의 발달 등으로 인하여 전용선을 구축하여 인트라넷(Intranet) 환경에서 처리하던 업무들을 엑스트라넷(Extranet) 환경으로 확장하게 되었다. 엑스트라넷은 해당 기업의 여러 지사뿐만 아니라, 제조업체, 공급업체, 협력업체, 고객, 다른 비즈니스업체들과 안전한 공유를 위해서는 꼭 필요하다. 그러나, 이러한 엑스트라넷 구성은 비용적인 측면과 보안적인 측면 모두 고려해야된다. 현재의 추세는 기존의 공중망을 이용하여 사설망처럼 사용하는 VPN(Virtual Private Network)를 구성하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 리눅스기반하에 IPsec 프로토콜을 사용하여 VPN을 구성할 수 있는 freeS/WAN과 방화벽기능을 하는 패킷 필터링(Packet Filtering) 프로그램인 iptables를 이용하여 비용적 부담이 적고 안전한 엑스트라넷을 구성하고자 한다.

컴퓨팅 환경은 컴퓨터 역사와 더불어 지속적으로 변해 왔다. 현재에서의 그 변화는 인터넷과 인트라넷이라고 볼 수 있다. 본 기사에서는 차세대 컴퓨팅환경으로서의 인트라넷에 관하여 알아 본다, 먼저, 컴퓨팅 모델의 변화에 관하여 알아 보고, 인트라넷의 개요, 인트라넷시스템 통합 그리고 인트라넷의 확장 시스템 및 향후 인트라넷의 전망에 관하여 알아 본다. 특히 향후 인트라넷 확장 시스템으로서의 엑스트라넷, 인트라넷 ERP, 엑스트라넷을 통한 CALS/EC 시스템으로의 이행에 관하여 알아본다.

최근 인터넷을 기업의 정보시스템 구현을 위한 인트라스트럭처로 채택한 인트라넷/엑스트라넷의 구축열기가 업계가 강타하고 있다. 이는 인터넷의 뛰어난 개방성과 사용의 편의성 외에 전세계 고객들과 쉽게 접할 수 있고, 곳 처에 흩어져 있는 수많은 정보에 대한 접근이 용이하다는 장점 때문일 것이다. 기업의 인트라넷 구축은 초기 웹서버 구축과 홈페이지 작성으로 시작되어 개인의 사무지원이나 그룹단위의 업무지원을 도와 주는 그룹웨어시스템의 개발로 발전되었고, 최근에는 인트라넷/엑스트라넷을 기반으로 하는 통합정보시스템구축으로까지 확산되고 있다. 지난 10월초에 시스템공학연구소(SERI)주관으로 실시된 '차세대 인트라넷 응용개발기술 및 도구 워크숍'에서의 열기는 이러한 업계의 요구와 현황을 잘 반영해 주는 한 사례라고 할 수 있겠다.

기존 제조업체는 저렴한 운용비용과 관리가 용이하기 때문에 기업 내부에서 안 사용하는 인트라넷 생산관리 시스템을 사용하고 있으나 외부업체와의 업무연결, 외부사용자와의 상호소통이 힘들다는 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 인트라넷의 확장개념으로 고객 및 협력업체와의 관계 증진을 위해 기업의 내부 통신 시스템인 인트라넷에 이들을 포함시킨 엑스트라넷의 도입이 절실한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 제조업체의 기존 인트라넷 기반의 생산관리 시스템을 보완하기 위해 외부업체와 제조업체간의 업무를 향상시키는 인터넷을 통한 주문관리가 가능한 Web-Deal 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 정보이용자와 정보를 창출하는 업체 사이에 거의 즉각적인 상호작용이 가능하므로 진행 상황을 실시간으로 알 수 있다. 따라서 신속한 업무처리에 의해 고객의견을 즉시 반영할 수 있는 시스템이다.

Developed in this paper is a prototype extranet using mobile device such as Personal Digital Assistance(PDA) or Handheld PC(HPC). Especially an adjustment transaction system for auto insurance using wireless data communications is described. Using infrastructures such as PCS, Cellular, Private Radio, wireless communications offers tremendous applications in Korea. A survey of such applications is presented in this paper. Also an analysis of currently available infrastructures of wireless communications is described in this paper. The scheme of an adjustment transaction consists of seven steps: (1) get list of adjustment, (2) obtain insurance information, (3) check police record, (4) get an accident record, (5) get bluebook value, (6) examine the car, (7) file report. Comparing with the previous on-line method that spends much time on gathering data, the proposed system guarantees more rapid transaction using wireless communications.

오늘날 기업의 인터넷 활용상태를 보면 인터넷을 통한 기업내의 인트라넷(Intranet), 기업간의 엑스트라넷(Extranet)이 활발하게 구축되고 있으며, 전자상거래 시도를 촉진하는 매개체로서의 역할도 충실하게 수행하고 있는 실정이다. 인터넷 환경에서 전자상거래가 활성화를 이루면서 웹사이트의 시스템을 제대로 구축하고자 하는 노력이 시도되었으며, 그 적용범위 및 가능성이 증대되었다. 기업의 입장에서 보면, 인터넷상의 모든 기업이 경쟁자가 되므로, 생존을 위한 더욱 치밀한 기술 및 기법이 필요하다. 전 세계의 고객으로부터 정보사용 수준에 관한 요구가 쇄도할 수 있으며, 그 요구는 현재의 수준보다 훨씬 다양한 형태로 나타날 수 있다. 이러한 고객의 욕구를 만족시키기 위해서는 단순한 정보를 제시하는 것에서 벗어나 전문지식을 이용한 웹사이트 시스템을 개발하는 것이 필연적이다. 이 상황에 적절한 대책 사업인 경남지역 기계산업정보화사업을 중점으로 해서, 그 동안 추진해 온 사업을 앞으로의 전국 대상으로 한 관련된 기업체들을 보다 더 확대 수용할 수 있게 정부차원에서 전략적인 방안이 마련되어야 하겠다. 전자상거래를 성공적으로 적용하기 위한 전략적 방안은 국가차원에서 지역특성을 감안한 정보화 사업을 제대로 수행을 해야 한다. 이는 인프라 구축과 더불어 지속적인 사업이 되어야 한다. 대외적인 여세를 대비해 보면, 사업 추진해온 경남지역을 중심으로 한 경남지역의 4,877개 기계산업체를 대상으로 구성된 ASP(Application Service Provider) 기반 인프라를 현실화로 기하기 위해 국가차원에서 지속적으로 지원이 이루어진 여건 하에서 이용업체와 지원기관의 적극적인 협조체제가 이루어져야 만이 다가온 국제적 변화에 대응할 수가 있다는 것이다.

Recently Standards Developments Organizations (SDO$\_S$) in the field of Information and Communication recognize that "More new and more complex standards should be developed in shorter time". To cope with this challenge they try to construct Standards Information Cooperation Network (SICN) or Electronic Document Handling (EDH) systems for efficient standards development process. This paper presents the design and implementation of an Extranet based Web system dedicated to effective on-line standards making environments. The system, which is called SICN (Standards Information Cooperation Network), is a workflow-based network application created with a view to fostering faster standards development with functionalities such as an electronic signature mechanism, electronic voting, comment gathering and dynamic links for ready retrieval of standards information stored in a database. This paper also describes the concept of a VSDO (Virtual Standards Development Organization) that supports all the features needed by the relevant standards making bodies to carry out their activities in dynamic on-line environments.ironments.

Better utilization of the knowledge of employees in any organization has long been accepted as a vital component of a corporation's competitiveness. This has been considered even more important in the construction industry due to the dynamic and intermittent nature of construction projects. With the rapid advance of network technologies during the last decade, construction companies quickly shifted their focus of knowledge management to interactive online repositories. However, the efforts of leveraging organizational knowledge has remained fragmented in the construction industry until recent years. In addition, companies have begun to realize that actual returns on this investment in network technologies would be far less than initial expectations if online efforts do not incorporate companies' general offline knowledge management efforts, which are done without the use of computer network. Thus, this paper focused on assessment of implementing current Lessons-Learned Systems at the large construction companies in Korea to provide the foundation for developing a renovated conceptual Lessons-Learned System model.
