This paper aims to give a summary and review of the research trend about subjects of Asian Dust (AD) storm in the last three decades. The AD research was focused on classification of synoptic scale data and finding inflow pathway in early stage. Recently, new approaches have been made to explain chemical composition, transportation, transboundary movement reaction of AD, using satellite data, 3D modeling, the aerosol time of flight mass spectroscopy, etc. During AD events, a large amount of dust particles flow into Korea and Japan from AD source areas, and they are highly likely to be mixed with toxic substances when air mass contained AD particles pass over seriously polluted areas. We concluded that, considering that AD events were classified into two cases according to the source area and pathway, the concentrations of crustal components did not increase at the initial stage of AD events, Whereas ammonium-sulfate, trace metal element, OC, EC relatively increased in the early stage. This explains AD events have the possibility of being accompanied with polluted air mass or particles. Also, we further need to compare and summarize the results of AD studies which already have been conducted, and prepare strategies for particle management, particularly for Black Carbon (BC) and Brown Carbon (BrC) which are considered to induce climate change effects.

This study examines how television news constructed an issue of social conflict between nationwide and local broadcasting. Especially, this study focused on new ariport of east-south region in Korea. To do this, this study conducted frame analysis on KBS, MBC, SBS main news including national and local ones, broadcasted from 1 January, 2011 to 15 April, 2011. In addition, frame analysis was divided into two aspects, formal and substance. As a result, the findings are as follow: First, in formal aspect both national and local broadcastings are dealing with episode style news frames, while subject style is just 7.5%. Second, in substance aspect, 6 categories are founded: site decision frame, competition and conflict frame, economic frame, rescission and response frame, government countermeasure and alternative frame, etc frame. In conclusion, national and local broadcasting television news have different perspective each other on defining an issues of social conflict like east-south new airport.

This research wanted to examine what narratives and discourse were being formed in web drama contents young generations were going crazy about. To understand the characteristics of such love epics and to know what narratives were being formed based on narrative structures and comments, this research specifically used the web drama produced up to the season 4 for the first time in Korean web drama history with a large number of accumulated views. It was found that the narratives of the drama composed the romantic relationships of four couples as independent episodes, and realistically highlighted separations and reunions of those couples, and suggested concrete methods to solve agonies and conflicts they would experience in such relationships. And, in user comments, there emerged relational narratives confusing friendship and love between partners of opposite sex, narratives regarding the third person as enemy, and narratives on typical sex roles in such romantic relations. And, the culture seeking subjective love style and sharing and sympathizing with the love histories also appeared.

The purpose of this study was to empirically investigate the emotional dynamics among sport issues, social structure changes and collective behaviors with time-series analysis. For the purpose, the doping scandal of Tae-Hwan Park was chosen and simplified into 10 episodes. And replies and articles on them were analysed by time-series analysis. As the conclusions, first, there was a clear causal relationship between sport issue and sport emotion. Second, sport emotion was a social being which interacting with social process. Third, the sport emotional dynamics was confirmed. With this study, the sport emotion dynamics was empirically verified, but more statistical approaches would be needed for stronger evidences.

This study analyzed discourse types and meaning making strategies used in a secondary beginning science teacher's class. A voluntary middle school science teacher participated in this study, and her instruction was observed and videotaped. The analysis consisted of two parts. First, we categorized the types of discourses occurred in class. Second, we examined her instructional strategies used through meaning making practices at the micro-level. Results indicated that there were five episodes emerged representing different discourse types and meaning making strategies in the beginning teacher's lesson about 'the pathway and property of light'. Conclusion and implications for further study and teacher professional development were presented in the paper.

This research aims to analyze gamer's behavior pattern on 'Blade for Kakao' RPG genre based on smart-phone. Three subjects were recruited using the concurrent protocol method to conduct ten episodes in region 1. As a result, it derived four behavior patterns according to the combination of space type affordance and the arrangement affordance of obstacle(monster). The result of this research revealed the forward attack arranged for the fixed obstacles in the wide space, the indirect attack as avoid-type arranged for scattered obstacles in the same space, the hunting up attack once arranged for the crowded obstacles in the same space, and the pulling attack arranged for obstacles in the narrow space. Moreover, it revealed the character growth and the optimization of attack method according to the attribute affordance of the obstacle(monster). This research expect to offer the design guideline for game level design to investigate the relationship between the game play and affordance in RPG genre based on smart-phone.

The Contemporary animation style based on technology become various within some categories and genres as recreating the importance and meaning of many formalities. According to the variation of the contemporary animation style, The computer animation that has affected on continuous development of science and its following broad-band culture takes charge of the important position in producing the contemporary visual art. On this thesis, I will research < Ani-matrix > which has 9 episode each for the different Matrix world focused on its animation style. I will analyze their forms of expression into the both aspects of esthetics viewpoint technologically and film making style traditionally regarding to the matter of reality and reemergence on a viewpoint of a realistically esthetics. Also I will analyze mutual connection among the reinterpretation for the reality, philosophical message, and animation style within < Ani-Matrix> suggested by influence of Post-modernism. Thus, I intend to prospect the formation of animation style followed by its esthetics construction and effect on computer animation of the film genre.

Information collected on mobile devices might be utilized to support user's memory, but it is difficult to effectively retrieve them because of the enormous amount of information. In order to organize information as an episodic approach that mimics human memory for the effective search, it is required to detect important event like landmarks. For providing new services with users, in this paper, we propose the prediction model to find landmarks automatically from various context log information based on attributed Bayesian networks. The data are divided into daily and weekly ones, and are categorized into attributes according to the source, to learn the Bayesian networks for the improvement of landmark prediction. The experiments on the Nokia log data showed that the Bayesian method outperforms SVMs, and the proposed attributed Bayesian networks are superior to the Bayesian networks modelled daily and weekly.

In this paper, we proposed a data mining framework for the management of alerts in order to improve the performance of the intrusion detection systems. The proposed alert data mining framework performs alert correlation analysis by using mining tasks such as axis-based association rule, axis-based frequent episodes and order-based clustering. It also provides the capability of classify false alarms in order to reduce false alarms. We also analyzed the characteristics of the proposed system through the implementation and evaluation of the proposed system. The proposed alert data mining framework performs not only the alert correlation analysis but also the false alarm classification. The alert data mining framework can find out the unknown patterns of the alerts. It also can be applied to predict attacks in progress and to understand logical steps and strategies behind series of attacks using sequences of clusters and to classify false alerts from intrusion detection system. The final rules that were generated by alert data mining framework can be used to the real time response of the intrusion detection system.

This study set out to explore the human rights sensitivity of undergraduates who were in the social welfare classes with regards to socio-demographic factors, education experiences in human rights. 251 students' data were collected and analyzed with frequency, ANOVA. Analysis revealed that students' human rights sensitivity level was 2.70(moderate) and the respondents showed high level of sensitivity in work rights of emigration workers and education rights of handicapped children. Among demographic variables, human rights sensitivity was significantly different from major and experiences of attending a social welfare ethics. The students who majored social welfare and who had attended a social welfare ethics showed high human rights sensitivity. There were differences in human rights sensitivity level according to each episode. These findings highlight that in the education of social worker as a human rights professionals it would be necessary to respect students' rights in the classes and to provide student customized human rights education. It was suggested that learning human rights dilemma cases and self reflection processes in classes would be necessary to effective human rights education.
