1996년, 보현산천문대는 1.8m 반사망원경과 1K CCD 카메라, 그리고 태양망원경을 갖추고 한국 천문학의 본격적인 광학관측시대를 열었다. 준공 직후인 1997년에는 측광관측기기를 2K CCD로 교체 하였으며, 1998년에는 망원경 제어시스템(TCS)을 국내 연구진이 자체 개발하였고 망원경의 전자부도 교체하였다. 1999년의 중분산분광기 제작 이후 2003년에는 고분산에셀분광기 BOES를 개발하여 세계적인 경쟁력을 갖춘 분광관측이 가능하게 되었다. BOES는 현재 보현산천문대의 주 관측기기로 활용 중이다. 2008년에는 적외선이미징카메라 KASINICS를 개발하여 관측 파장대를 적외선까지 넓혔으며, 2010년에는 가시광 측광관측기기를 4K CCD로 업그레이드 하였다. 2015년에는 망원경 구동시스템을 다시 한 번 개선하여 보다 안정적이고 정밀한 관측시스템을 갖추게 되었다. 또한, 2014년과 2015년에는 2년에 걸쳐 관측실과 숙소, 그리고 각종 연구시설의 전면 리모델링을 실시하여 관측자를 위한 환경도 개선하였다. 이러한 다양한 관측지원을 바탕으로 보현산천문대 연구장비를 활용한 논문은 매년 꾸준히 생산되고 있으며 관측과 연구결과들은 한국 광학천문학의 밑거름이 되고 있다. 2016년에는 1m 망원경 설치를 완료할 예정이며 장기관측 과제에 집중함으로써 연구의 새로운 지평을 열게 될 것이다. 연구장비의 안정적인 구동과 성능 향상을 위해 중장기발전계획 아래 노후화된 기기의 교체와 개발을 진행 중이다. 2016년 4월, 제2의 도약기를 준비 중인 보현산천문대의 준공 20주년을 맞이하여, 그 동안의 발자취를 돌아보고 앞으로 나아갈 길을 제시하고자 한다.

We observed $2.1218{\mu}m$ $H_2$ 1-0 S(1) emission from H II region A, which is located just next to Sgr A East and one of the nearest star forming regions to the Gatactic center. Cooled Grating Spectrometer 4 (CGS4) at the 3.8 m United Kingdom Infrared Telescope (UKIRT) was used with aa echelle grating at a velocity resolution of ${\sim}$ 18km s^{-1}$ and an angular resolution of ${\sim}$ 2 arcsec. Comparing the distributions and kinematics of the observed $H_2$ emission with radio continuum and $NH_3$ emission, we find no evidence that this H II region is interacting with Sgr A East. This conclusion supports that the star formation in this region has not been stimulated by the blast wave of Sgr A East.

Currently, in the field of community service, it is expected that the demand will further increase in the future by enabling the form of providing various types of services. However, the local community service investment project is an abstract Although the structure for fair competition was created by introducing a market mechanism derived from the action or principle of psychology that affects human behavior in the field, systematic management and monitoring of the quality of social services is insufficient. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between service selection factors and service quality in order to improve the quality of social services in the consumer's way to meet these environmental needs, and to utilize the research results for quality improvement. The research model to be used in this paper measures the five element areas of service satisfaction such as reliability, responsiveness, empathy, certainty, and tangibility, which are used to measure the quality of local community service investment projects. In addition, we are various strategic implications that can induce the quality improvement of local community service investment projects are presented by finding the main factors of the four research hypotheses of this study and utilizing the results.
