  • 우리나라의 경우 RPS는 신재생전력 보급확대라는 에너지 정책의 일환으로 시작되었으며 현재까지 환경정책의 일환으로 고려되지 않고 있다. 이와 같이 에너지정책만을 고려한 RPS가 시행되고 있는상황에서 ETS가 도입되면 의무대상자인 발전사업자들은 이중규제를 받게 된다. 중복 규제로 인해 발전사업자들은 비용 부담이 가중될 것으로 예상됨으로 RPS와 ETS간 연계를 통해 부담을 완화시킬 수 있는 정책옵션이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 양 제도간 효과적인 연계방안을 제시하고 개발된 모형을 통해 그 효과에 대해 분석하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구는 다른 에너지원에 비해 출력전류가 커짐에 전압의 드랍이 심한 에너지원을 대상으로하며, 기존의 고효율특성을 갖는 공진형 컨버터가 듀티의 변화에 자유롭지못한 단점을 보안하기위해 캐패시터를 이용하여 기존의 공진형 Push-Pull 컨버터와 부분전압제어가 가능한 Boost컨버터 2대를 결합하여 입력전압의 변화에도 일정한 DClink전압이 형성되도록 하고 있다. 각각 컨버터의 출력전압은 입력전압에 따라 변동하지만 고효율을 위하여 공진형 컨버터부에서 전압할당이 크도록 구성 되었으며, 본 논문은 공진형 Push-Pull컨버터, Boost 컨버터의 동작원리 및 2대의 컨버터를 결합구성 할 경우의 전력의 분담 및 전체적인 제어원리를 다루며, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 이를 입증하고자 한다.

  • With the growth of Cloud computing, it is important to consider resource management techniques to minimize the overall costs of management. In cloud environments, each host's utilization and virtual machine's request based on user preferences are dynamic in nature. To solve this problem, efficient allocation method of virtual machines to hosts where the classification of virtual machines and hosts is undetermined should be studied. In reducing the number of active hosts to reduce energy consumption, thresholds can be implemented to migrate VMs to other hosts. By using Fuzzy logic in classifying resource requests of virtual machines and resource utilization of hosts, we proposed an adaptive VM allocation and migration approach. The allocation strategy classifies the VMs according to their resource request, then assigns it to the host with the lowest resource utilization. In migrating VMs from overutilized hosts, the resource utilization of each host was used to create an upper threshold. In selecting candidate VMs for migration, virtual machines that contributed to the high resource utilization in the host were chosen to be migrated. We evaluated our work through simulations and results show that our approach was significantly better compared to other VM allocation and Migration strategies.

The Dynamic Allocation Algorithm for Efficient Data Transmission in Wireless Sensor Network (무선 센서 네트워크에서 효율적인 데이터 전송을 위한 동적 할당 알고리즘)

  • IEEE 802.15.4 standard which has low-speed, low-power, low-cost can be efficiently used in wireless sensor network environment. Among various topologies used in IEEE 802.15.4 standard, a cluster-tree topology which has many nodes in it, transmit delay, energy consumption and data loss due to traffic concentration around the sink node. In this paper, we propose the MRS-DCA algorithm that minimizes conflicts between packets for efficient data transmission, and dynamically allocates the active period for efficient use of limited energy. The MRS-DCA algorithm allocates RP(Reservation Period) to the active period of IEEE 802.15.4 and guarantees reliable data transmission by allocating RP and CAP dynamically which is based on prediction using EWMA. The comparison result shows that the MRS-DCA algorithm reduces power consumption by reducing active period, and increasing transmission rate by avoiding collision.

Development of Heliostat Aiming Point Allocation Scheme in Heliostat Field Control Algorithm for 200kW Tower Type Solar Thermal Power Plant (200kW 탑형 태양열발전시스템을 위한 헬리오스타트 필드 운영 알고리즘의 헬리오스타트 반사목표점 할당 방안 개발)

  • Heliostat field control algorithm is the logics to operate the heliostat field of tower type solar thermal power plant and it could include various methodologies of how to control the heliostat field so as to optimize the energy collection efficiency as well as to reduce the system operating cost. This work, as the first part of the consecutive works, presents heliostat aiming mint allocation scheme which will be used in the heliostat field control algorithm for 200kW solar thermal power plant built in Daegu, Korea. We first discuss the structure of heliostat field control system required for the implementation of aiming scheme developed in this work. Then the methodologies to allocate the heliostat aiming points on the receiver are discussed. The simulated results show that the heliostat aiming point allocation scheme proposed in this work reduces the magnitude of peak heat flux on the receiver more than 40% from the case of which all the heliostats in the field aim at the center of receiver simultaneously. Also it shows that, when the proposed scheme is used, the degradation of heliostat field optical efficiency is relatively small from the maximal optical efficiency the heliostat field could have.

  • In this paper, we proposed the efficient addressing scheme for improving the performance of routing algorithm by using ZigBee in Smart Grid environment. A distributed address allocation scheme used an existing algorithm that has wasted in address space. Therefore proposing x, y and z coordinate axes from divided address space of 16 bit to solve this problems. Each node was reduced not only bitwise but also multi hop using the coordinate axes while routing than $Cskip$ algorithm. I compared the performance between the standard and the proposed mechanism through the numerical analysis. Simulation verified performance about decrease averaging multi hop count that compare proposing algorithm and another. The numerical analysis results show that proposed algorithm reduced the multi hop better than ZigBee distributed address assignmen.

  • The certification performance issued through an external business is sold to companies subject to the emission trading system allocation, and the company subject to the allocation can secure the quota by converting the purchased external business certification performance into offset credits. In this methodology, when fossil fuels that used existing oil boilers (by oil type) were replaced with boilers using propane gas with a relatively low carbon content, the amount of carbon dioxide emission reduction by oil type was recognized. As an initial analysis to make up for the insufficient quota of large corporations, the amount of carbon reduction emissions and emission rights trading was calculated.

Multiple Supply Voltage Scheduling Techniques for Minimal Energy Consumption (에너지 소모 최소화를 위한 다중 전압 스케줄링 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a multiple voltage scheduling method which reduces energy consumption considering both timing constraints and resource constraints. In the other multiple voltage scheduling techniques, high voltage is assigned to operations in the longest path and low voltage is assigned to operations that are not on the longest path. However, in those methods, voltages are assigned to specific operations restrictively. We use a simulated annealing technique, in which several voltages are assigned to specific operations flexibly regardless of whether they are on the longest path. In this paper, a post processing algorithm is proposed to further reduce the energy consumption. In some cases, designers may want to reduce the level shifters. To make tradeoff between the total energy and the number (or energy) of level shifters weighted term can be added to the cost function. When the level shifter energy is weighted six times, for example, the number of level shifters is reduced by about 24% and their energy consumption is reduced by about 20%.

Efficient RF Energy Harvesting Algorithm based on Frequency Selective Fading Map (주파수 선택적 페이딩 맵 기반 효율적 무선 에너지 하비스팅 알고리즘)

  • Recently, with developments of various networks, devices and various services, energy efficiency has become one of the most crucial issues with respect to sustainability of mobile devices. For connecting to networks seamlessly to offer services, a scenario of RF energy harvesting which supplies energy to wireless devices with RF signals is assumed. To increase the efficiency of RF energy harvesting, this paper proposes a RF energy harvesting algorithm which is based upon a frequency selective fading map. Through the algorithm, a receiver of mobile device can get fading information at each frequency and select a frequency which has the best quality. At the end, the simulation result demonstrates its superiority by showing a 4.45dB improvement in comparison to a deep fading frequency point.

  • As multiprocessors have been widely adopted in embedded systems, task computation energy consumption should be minimized with several low power techniques supported by the multiprocessors. This paper proposes an energy-aware task scheduling algorithm that adopts both dynamic voltage scaling and power shutdown in multiprocessor environments. Considering the timing and energy overhead of power shutdown, the proposed algorithm performs an iterative task assignment and task ordering for multiprocessor systems. In this case, the iterative priority-based task scheduling is adopted to obtain the best solution with the minimized total energy consumption. Total energy consumption is calculated by considering a linear programming model and threshold time of power shutdown. By analyzing experimental results for standard task graphs based on real applications, the resource and timing limitations were analyzed to maximize energy savings. Considering the experimental results, the proposed energy-aware task scheduling provided meaningful performance enhancements over the existing priority-based task scheduling approaches.
