  • Function of the window of the building is an environment of the room through the entry of solar radiation. It is vulnerable to significant energy conservation off the thermal efficiency. Also this summer, cooling costs are weighted because of excessive solar radiation. In this paper, we develop a windows automatic control system to use the indoor environmental information, such as home temperature, humidity, light intensity, solar radiation. The system collects the indoor environment information using a variety of sensor, using the collected information, and controls the motor to the system to control the window.

  • In this paper, a simulation for the stability of the catenary voltage through charging and discharging by introducing an energy storage system in the railway system and the efficient usage of restoration energy has been performed. In order for the simulation, a simple railway model with an appropriate control technique has been introduced. The catenary voltage area is divided into two areas with voltage control and an area with normal operation and current control is performed to satisfy current limit of the supercapacitor. We confirmed the energy absorption and emission through the simulation and observed energy efficiency through charging and discharging according to the operation state of the railway.

  • This paper describes an energy harvesting circuit using solar and vibration energy with MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) control for micro sensor nodes. The designed circuit employs MPPT control to harvest maximum power available from a PZT vibration element and an integrated solar cell. The harvested energies are simultaneously combined and stored in a storage capacitor, and then managed and transferred into sensor node by PMU(Power Management Unit). MPPT controls are implemented using the linear relationship between the open-circuit voltage of an energy transducer and its MPP(Maximum Power Point) voltage. The proposed circuit is designed in a CMOS 0.18um technology and its functionality has been verified through extensive simulations. The designed energy harvesting circuit and integrated solar cell occupy $2.85mm^2$ and $8mm^2$ respectively.

  • Due to difficulties of continuous electric power provision to underwater communication nodes, the efficient power usage is highly required in underwater network protocol. In this paper, we studied the energy efficient MAC(Medium Access Control) protocol for underwater network supporting mobile nodes such as UUV(Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) and AUV(Autonomous Underwater Vehicle). The mobile nodes could waste the electric power in vain when the receiver moves out of the radio propagation coverage during the data exchange and thus the transmitted data fails in reaching the receiver. Expecially, such a failure is much more obvious in underwater acoustic channels since the propagation delay is about $10^5$ times slower than in terrestrial radio channels. This proposed mobility-MAC controls the data dropping stochastically in the Dropping Zone by considering the receiver's location and moving velocity. In conclusion, this selective dropping method not only improves latency and throughput by reducing invalid droppings but also boosts power efficiency by valid droppings.

  • Nowadays, Dynamic lighting control and management skills are studied and used. If the system which is to manage multiple intelligent spot applied ubiquitous service technology is built with decision making and used in the complex intelligent space like a apartment then will improve energy efficiency and provide comfortability in optimal conditions. To solve this problem distributed autonomous control middleware and energy management system which process data gathering by zigbee mesh network and search proper services to save energy by the existing state of things is necessary. In paper we designed DDLEMS (Distributed Dynamic Lighting Energy Management System) that is to service duplex communication embedded by software based home server platform to provide mobile services in the smart place and support decision making about energy saving to the best use of wireless censor node and controled network, energy display devices.

Night Purge Control Strategies With Outdoor Air Temperature Conditions for Central Cooling System (중앙냉방시스템의 외기온도조건을 고려한 나이트 퍼지 제어방안에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the effects of control strategies of night-purge control system on control characteristics and energy consumption for central cooling system in building are researched by simulation. The start time and set-point temperature for night-purge control with outdoor temperature changes and building cold storage performance are obtained. The system analysis modelling is done by using TRNSYS program package, and the control performances with suggested night-purge control method are compared with the existing control ones. As a result, the suggested night-purge control method shows maximum 16.8% and 28.6% energy saving in comparison with existing control method and conventional one without night-purge control, respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 풍력발전기의 회전속도센서의 고장 발생 시 고장을 검출하고 회전속도센서의 사용 없이 Sensorless 제어로의 전환에 관한 연구를 기술하였다. 최근 풍력발전은 급속한 성장함에 따라 풍력발전기의 대형화 및 해상풍력화 추세에 있다. 특히 해상풍력발전은 바람 및 설치장소의 제약에서 벗어나는 이점에 반해 염해, 습도 및 파도에 의한 진동 발생으로 센서의 고장 발생률이 높을 것으로 예상된다. 이에 따라 풍력발전기의 회전속도센서 고장 발생 시 이를 검출하는 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 회전속도센서의 고장이 검출되면 회전속도센서를 이용한 풍력발전기 제어방식에서 Sensorless 제어로의 전환을 통해 안전하게 풍력발전기를 운전할 수 있도록 하였다. 연구된 제어기법은 PSIM을 이용한 시물레이션을 통해 결과를 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트 그리드에 적용되는 2MVA 배터리 에너지 저장 시스템(BESS, Battery Energy Storage System)의 제어 알고리즘을 제안하고 검증하였다. BESS는 전력변환을 위한 PCS(Power Conditioning System), 배터리 제어 및 상태확인을 위한 BCS(Battery Conditioning System)와 상위 시스템으로부터 지령을 받아 PCS와 BCS를 제어하는 PMS(Power Management System)로 구성되어 있다. BESS는 풍력안정화를 위해 EMS(Energy Management System)의 지령을 받아 운전모드를 선택하고, 운전모드에 따라서 계통측 전력을 제어하거나 배터리측 전류를 제어하고, 배터리의 완전충전을 위해 전압제어를 한다.

MITRE ATT&CK 프레임워크 기반 에너지분야 기반시설 보안 모니터링 방안

  • 주요 국가기반시설에 도입되어 운영 중인 산업제어시스템은 4차 산업혁명에 따른 디지털 전환으로 지능화됨에 따라 IT환경의 보안위협이 OT환경으로 상속되면서 제어시스템 보안위협 및 공격 양상도 복잡해지고 있다. 실제로 에너지분야 기반시설을 대상으로 한 Stuxnet, Conficker, BlackEnergy3 등 제어시스템 사이버 위협 및 사고 사례가 지속적으로 보고되고 있으나, 제어시스템을 대상으로 하는 사이버공격 대응을 위한 보안가시성 확보는 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있으며, 이를 위해서는 기존 IT 환경과는 다른 제어시스템의 특성이 반영된 보안 모니터링이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 제어시스템 보안위협 지식 데이터베이스인 MITRE ATT&CK 프레임워크를 기반으로 제어시스템에 적합한 보안 모니터링을 수행하기 위한 요소들을 식별하고 방안을 제시한다.
