Ecological Role of Urban Stream and Its Improvement (도시하천의 생태학적 역할과 개선방안)

  • A stream plays an important role as the source of drinking water, the ecological space and the living space. But the today's urban stream whose ecosystem is destroyed and water quality become worse in consequence of covering, concrete dyke construction, and the adjustment of high-water-ground[dunchi], is deprived of the function as a stream. Therefore this paper aims to elucidate the role that urban stream plays ecologically and to try to find a improvement to the problem. A stream is the pathway through which several types of the solar radiation energy are transmitted and the place which is always full of life energy. In the periphery of a stream, primary productivity is high and carrying capacity of population is great. Thus ancient cities based on agricultural products grew out of the fertile surroundings of stream. In Korea most cities of the Chosen Dynasty Period based on the agriculture have grown out of the erosional basins where solar energy is concentrated. The role of a stream in this agricultural system is the source of energy and material(water and sediment) and a lifeline. In consequence of the growth of cities and the rapid growing demands of water supply after the Industrial Revolution, a stream has become a more important locational factor of city. However, because cities need the life energy of urban streams no longer, urban streams cannot play role as a lifeline. And As pollutant waste water has poured into urban streams after using external streams' water, urban streams have degraded to the status of a ditch. As the results of the progress of urbanization, the dangerousness of inundation of urban stream increased and its water quality became worse. For the sake of holding back it, local governments constructed concrete dyke, adjusted high-water-ground[dunchi], and covered the channel. But stream ecosystem went to ruin and its water quality became much worse after channelization. These problems of urban stream can be solved by transmitting much energy contained in stream to land ecosystem as like rural stream. We should dissipate most of the energy contained in urban stream by cultivating wetland vegetation from the shore of stream to high-water-ground, and should recover a primitive natural vigorous power by preparation of ecological park.

Wavelet based video coding with spatial band coding (대역별 공간 부호화를 이용한 웨이블릿 기반 동영상 부호화)

  • Video compression based on DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) has weakpoints of blocking artifacts and pixel loss when the resolution is changed. DWT (Discrete Wavelet Transform) based method can overcome such problems. In SAMCoW (Scalable Adaptive Motion Compensation Wavelet), one of wavelet based video coding algorithm, both intra frames and motion compensated error frames are encoded using EZW(Embedded Zerotree Wavelet) algorithm. However the property of wavelets transform coefficients of motion compensated error frames are different from that of still images. Signal energy is not highly concentrated in the lower bands which is true for most still image cases. Signal energy is rather evenly distributed over all frequency bands. This paper suggests a new video coding algorithm utilizing these properties. Spatial band coding which is known to be very effective for encoding images with relative1y high frequency components and not utilizing the interband coefficients correlation is applied instead of EZW to encode both intra and inter frames. In spatial band coding, the position and value of significant wavelet coefficients in each band are progressively transmitted. Unlike EZW, inter band coefficients correlations are not utilized in spatial band coding. It has been shown that spatial band coding gives better performance than EZW when applied to wavelet based video compression.

The analysis of solar radiation to solar plant area based on UAV geospatial information system (UAV 공간정보 기반의 태양광발전소 부지의 일사량 분석)

  • Recently the construction of solar plant showed a steady growth in influence of renewable energy policy. It is very important to determine the optimal location and aspect of solar panel using analyzed data of solar radiation to solar plant area beforehand. This study analyzed solar radiation in solar plant area using DEM acquired from UAV geospatial information. Mean solar radiation of 2017 was calculated as $1,474,466W/m^2$ and total solar radiation of 2017 considering solar plant area showed $33,639MW/m^2$ on analyzed result. It is important to analyze monthly solar radiation in aspect of maintenance works of solar plant. Monthly solar radiation of May to July was calculated over $160,000W/m^2$ and that of January to February and November to December showed under $80,000W/m^2$ in monthly solar radiation analysis of solar plant area. Also this study compared with solar radiation being calculated from UAV geospatial information and that of National Institute of Meteorological Sciences. And mean solar radiation of study area showed a little high in comparison with whole country data of National Institute of Meteorological Sciences, because the 93.7% of study area was composed of south aspect. Therefore this study can be applied to calculate solar radiation in new developed solar plant area very quickly using UAV.

The Remained Basis and the Locational Characteristics of Manufacturing in Chonnam Region (전남지역 제조업의 존립기반과 입지특성)

  • This study is to examine the remained basis and the locational characteristics of manufacturing in Chonnam region. First, the locational characteristics of manufacturing in the peripheral region examined through theoretical discussions about manufacturing location. And the locational characteristics of the small and medium firms and large firms be studied as to understand the precedent characteristics of Chonnam region. Chonnam region have the precedent characteristics that the regional capital is not accumulated as Japen exploit agricultural products at a colonial period. And SOC, industry and technology are not developed as geographically Chonnam lesion turn aside the economics axis of Korea-Japen-America within a period of industrialization. Manufacturing firms have beer make up the traditional indigenous firms which base on local market, agriculture and marine products in Chonnam lesion. The characteristics of these firms mainly are food & drink, nonmetal industry that is composed of the small and medium sized firms. The industrial structure is changing to machinery, chemistry, electronics industry from food & drink, nonmetal industry. But these industry is making the simple products. In Chonnam region, these change of industrial structure was expanding to the inland or coast region from the neighhoring region of Kwangju metropolitan. The blanch factories of large enterprises that located in Chonnam region are not connected with small and medium sized firms. The small and medium sized firms are not developed. Because these large enterprises are the iron and steel industry or chemistry industry. So the large-manufacturing firms have characteristics of the capital intensive industry, and make up the monopolistic industrial space of fordist blanch factories.

Acoustic characteristics of sound field in partially opened rooms - Emphasis on horizontal coupling of diffuse and non-diffuse field - (실내공간의 부분적 개방에 따른 음향특성변화 I - 확산음장과 자유음장의 수평적 결합을 중심으로 -)

  • Large span spaces have been widely used for various purposes including sports events in other countries. Due to increasing demands on multi-purpose use of such spaces, recently built large span sport facilities such dome stadiums have been required to accommodate sport events as well as performing events. Also, retractable ceilings and/or walls were generally adopted in those spaces for providing various event conditions. It seems obvious that the openings between diffuse fields and free field may cause difficulties in the acoustic design of such spaces In the present work, the acoustic characteristics of non-diffuse field has been investigated using 1/10 acoustic scale models. It was found that RTs at low- and mid-frequencies decayed faster than those at high-frequencies as the percentage of opening area increased. The decay rate of RTs at high frequencies were not influenced by increasing the area of an opening. Also high dependence of EDT on the percentage of opening area was observed at all frequency range. D50 was not improved by increasing the area of an opening up to 12.5% and then sharply increased. The application of Schroeder integration to evaluate the reverberation charateristics of coupled spaces may not be proper, since non-exponential decay process with double or triple decays of those spaces can not be properly defined. EDT seems more appropriate to predict reverberation at the early acoustic design stage of acoustically coupled spaces.

  • 최근 국내에서는 저탄소 녹색도시 조성의 일환으로 도시의 환경오염과 기후변화의 문제의 원인이 되고 있는 탄소 배출을 억제하고 고유가 시대에 에너지저감을 동시에 고려하는 저탄소 도시 조성을 통해 기후변화 시대에 대응을 추진하고 있다(국토해양부, 2009). 이러한 결과로 최근 도시내 물순환시스템(urban water circulating system or blue-network)의 구축이 요구되며 이는 자연의 생태 기능을 복원하고 오염부하를 저감하여 도시 환경의 건강성과 지속성 향상에 기여한다. 이러한 도시물순환시스템은 시민의 휴식 및 문화 공간, 도심열섬현상 완화, 재해방지, 생물서식공간(biotope) 제공 등의 기본적인 기능 이외에도 탄소배출 감소, 우수 저류공간 확보, 지하수위 유지, 비상용수 확보, 대기오염물질의 집진제거, 습지보전 및 생물종 다양성 확보 등의 주요 기능을 수행할 수 있기 때문에 구도심의 재개발 또는 신도시 개발 시 도시 어메니티(amenity) 증진에 널리 적용되고 있다(서울시정개발연구원 2003; 한국토지공사 2003). 남한산성을 포함하는 청량산 계곡수를 발원지로서, 공간적 범위는 장지천과 창곡천을 따라 약 3.5 km 서쪽으로 흘러 탄천에 이르기까지의 물길축(blue-network)를 기반으로 하며 총면적은 $6.8km^2$ 으로 서울, 성남, 하남의 3개 행정구역에 걸쳐있다. 내용적 범위는 현황조사(개발 컨셉, 하천분포현황, 인접지역 연계, 수질), 수량 및 수질 확보방안(물수지분석, 다중 수원 확보방안, 목표수질 설정, 부영양화 가능성 평가), 물순환시스템 구축(소하천 등과 연계 방안), 유지관리 방안의 순서로 진행하여 기본계획을 도출하였다. 현황조사 결과 본 사업대상지는 장지천, 창곡천, 학암천 등 3개 소하천이 서쪽의 탄천과 연결되어 있으며 동쪽은 산지로 청량산이 인접하기에, 주변 자연지형을 최대한 고려하여 물순환시스템을 계획하였다. 하천 유량은 기존 환경영향평가서, 하천 연계방안, 신도시 조성 관련기준 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 하류에서 각각 장지천 $10,087m^3/d$, 창곡천 $7,103m^3/d$, 복우천 $5,530m^3/d$ 의 유지용수량을 산정하였다. 도시 친수공간 확보와 어메니티 향상을 위해 지구내 수로(휴먼링)을 조성하여 장지천, 창곡천과 연계하였으며 주요 유지용수는 저탄소 녹색도시 건설에 부합하도록 우수을 활용한 함양지 및 계곡수로 조성 계획하였다. 또한, 인접한 장지천 및 창곡천 등 소하천은 지속적인 유량공급 및 양질의 수질을 확보하기 위해서 하상여과수를 검토 후 제안하였다.

Spatial Replicability Assessment of Land Cover Classification Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and Artificial Intelligence in Urban Area (무인항공기 및 인공지능을 활용한 도시지역 토지피복 분류 기법의 공간적 재현성 평가)

  • As a technology to analyze and predict an issue has been developed by constructing real space into virtual space, it is becoming more important to acquire precise spatial information in complex cities. In this study, images were acquired using an unmanned aerial vehicle for urban area with complex landscapes, and land cover classification was performed object-based image analysis and semantic segmentation techniques, which were image classification technique suitable for high-resolution imagery. In addition, based on the imagery collected at the same time, the replicability of land cover classification of each artificial intelligence (AI) model was examined for areas that AI model did not learn. When the AI models are trained on the training site, the land cover classification accuracy is analyzed to be 89.3% for OBIA-RF, 85.0% for OBIA-DNN, and 95.3% for U-Net. When the AI models are applied to the replicability assessment site to evaluate replicability, the accuracy of OBIA-RF decreased by 7%, OBIA-DNN by 2.1% and U-Net by 2.3%. It is found that U-Net, which considers both morphological and spectroscopic characteristics, performs well in land cover classification accuracy and replicability evaluation. As precise spatial information becomes important, the results of this study are expected to contribute to urban environment research as a basic data generation method.

Analysis of grout injection distance in single rock joint (단일절리 암반에서 그라우팅 주입거리 분석)

  • The utilization of underground spaces in relation to tunnels and energy/waste storage is on the rise. To ensure the stability of underground spaces, it is crucial to reinforce rock fractures and discontinuities. Discontinuities, such as joints, can weaken the strength of the rock and lead to groundwater inflow into underground spaces. In order to enhance the strength and stability of the area around these discontinuities, rock grouting techniques are employed. However, during rock grouting, it is impossible to visually confirm whether the grouting material is being smoothly injected as intended. Without proper injection, the expected increases in strength, durability, and degree of consolidation may not be achieved. Therefore, it is necessary to predict in advance whether the grouting material is being injected as designed. In this study, we aimed to assess the injection performance based on injection variables such as the water/cement mixture ratio, injection pressure, and injection flow using UDEC (Universal Distinct Element Code) numerical program. Additionally, numerical results were validated by the lab experiment. The results of this study are expected to help optimize variables such as injection material properties, injection time, and pump pressure in the grouting design in the field.

Prediction of Unsteady Turbulent Flow over a Square Cylinder using Two-Equation Turbulence Models (2-방정식 난류모델을 이용한 정사각주 주위 비정상 난류 유동의 예측)

  • 비유선형의 물체 주위의 유동은 정체유동, 경계층 박리 및 주기적 와열 생성 등의 복잡한 유동현상이 공존한다. 본 연구에서는 비교적 단순한 형상인 정사각주 주위의 비정상 난류 유동을 2-방정식 와점성 난류모델인 표준 $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델과 RNG $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델을 이용하여 예측할 수 있는지를 검증하였다. 정교하게 수행된 최근의 실험과 대와류모사(LES)의 결과를 검증을 위한 비교의 자료로 삼았다. 적절한 난류모델의 선정과 더불어 시간 정확도, 공간 정확도 및 대류항 처리법 등이 해석결과에 미치는 영향도 살펴보았다. 기존의 표준 $k-{\varepsilon}$모델은 정체점 부근에서 난류 운동에너지를 과도하게 생성하는 근본적인 문제점 때문에 실험 및 LES의 결과를 제대로 예측할 수 없었다. 난류운동에너지의 초과 예측에 따른 운동량의 과도한 혼합으로 인해, 항력계수 및 양력계수의 비정상성 뿐 아니라 평균 항력계수도 부정확하게 예측하였다. RNG $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델을 사용한 경우에는 정체점 주위 유동현상의 예측이 상당히 향상되어 항력계수 및 양력계수의 평균치, 진폭 및 비정상성의 주기 등을 정확하게 예측하는 것이 가능하였다. 그러나 이 경우에도 예측의 정확도가 시간 증분과 격자의 크기 및 대류항 처리법등에 영향을 받으며, 특별히 대류항 처리법에 상당히 민감하게 변하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 향상된 유동예측은 RNG $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델의 난류에너지 소산율 방정식의 개선된 항이 과도하게 생성된 난류에너지를 정체점 부근에서 제거하기 때문에 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.의 20세 이하 골절 및 탈구가$30.3\%까지 감소하게되어 년도가 증가함에 따라 청장년 층에 비하여 소아골절 및 탈구가 전체적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 스키골절의 부위별 발생빈도는 1990년 이전까지 하지골절 및 탈구가 많았으나 이후 점차 상지의 골절 탈구가 증가하였다 하지에서 가장 많은 골절은 경골 골절이었으며, 경골골절은 회전력에 의한 나선형골절이 $76.5\%로 가장 많았고 년도에 따른 변화는 보이지 않았다. 스키손상의 발생빈도는 초기에 비하여 점차 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 손상의 특성도 부위별, 연령별로 다양한 변화를 나타내었다.해가능성을 가진 균이 상당수 검출되므로 원료의 수송, 김치의 제조 및 유통과정에서 병원균에 대한 오염방지에 유의하여야 할 것이다. 확인할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과에 의하면 고농도의 유기물이 함유된 음식물쓰레기는 Hybrid Anaerobic Reactor (HAR)를 이용하여 HRT 30일 정도에서 충분히 직접 혐기성처리가 가능하며, 이때 발생된 $CH_{4}$를 회수하여 이용하면 대체에너지원으로 활용 가치가 높은 것으로 판단된다./207), $99.2\%$(238/240), $98.5\%$(133/135) 및 $100\%$ (313)였다. 각각 두 개의 요골동맥과 우내흉동맥에서 부분협착이나 경쟁혈류가 관찰되었다. 결론: 동맥 도관만을 이용한 Off pump CABG를 시행하여 감염의 위험성을 증가시키지 않으면서 영구적인 신경학적 합병증을 일으키지 않았고 좋은 혈관 개존율을 보여주었다. 따라서 동맥 도관을 이용한 Off pump CABG는 관상동맥의 협착의 정도에 따라 효율적으로 시행

Effects of Environmental Infrastructure Regeneration in Urban Region - A Case Study of M Apartment Complex in Daejeon (도시 단지내 환경 인프라 재생 효과 고찰 - 대전시 M 아파트 단지 사례연구)

  • This study introduces a resource recycling system in urban apartment complex using four different technologies. The four technologies, called 4G, include a production technology for reclaimed water (Green water), a biogas production technology from organic waste (Green biogas), a reuse technology of rainwater (Green rainwater), and urban agropark (Green pyramid). Green water is the technology for producing the reclaimed water from wastewater, rainwater and underground water, and the average concentrations of BOD, SS, T-N and coliform of reclaimed water were 7.8mg/L, ND (not detected), 4.9mg/L and ND, respectively. Green biogas is the technology for producing biogas and effluent after treating organic wastes (e.g. food waste and night soil) discharged from households, and the average production rates of hydrogen and methane were $0.33m^3/m^3/d$ and $0.24m^3/m^3/d$, respectively. Green pyramid, agricultural farm operated by biogas and reclaimed water, provides a healthy and recreational space for residents, and plant growth rates using treated water and reclaimed water showed height of 1.32cm and weight of 112.8g. Therefore, 4G technologies can improve the recycling rate and treatment efficiencies of waste and wastewater in an apartment complex.
