Specialty contractors are in charge of the actual construction work and managing many work force in construction sites. The effective educational program for specialty contractors' employees is essential to improve the competitiveness of construction industry. However, there is no in-depth research on training programs for their management or technical staff. Therefore, this study proposes a framework of educational program for the specialty contractors' employees in order to enhance their competence. An extended review of literature related the educational program was carried out to understand the concept, structure, and element of the education system. A questionnaire survey for specialty contractors' employees was performed to investigate the status and problems of educational programs as well as the their educational needs. Based on the survey, the demand-oriented education programs is required to meet the needs of specialty contractors' employees. The framework of demand-oriented education programs for specialty contractors' employees consists of training contents, training type and method, training hour.

The Korean fresh pork loins in vacuum packaged were obtained from three different Korean export companies and investigated for their proximate composition and physico-chemical characteristics. The fresh pork loins were stored at 2$^{\circ}C$ for 50 days and analyzed with an interval of 5∼10 days. In proximate analyses, the moisture contents of pork loins from the company I were higher, the protein contents from the company II were higher, and fat contents from the companies II and III were higher compared to those from the other companies. The pH of loins increased as storage period increased. The shear value of loins from company II showed significantly lower level and tended to decrease during storage. However, the water holding capacity and the purge loss of loins from company II increased during storage periods.

The object of this study is to present performance by applying six sigma quality management to a construction company. The research method involves to investigate and analyze data regarding six sigma projects in S construction company and a questionnaire survey from the personnel of the S construction company. The results of this study are as follows 1) S construction company utilized the six sigma quality management for 258 projects during the years of 2003 and 2004 and this bring the effect of cost reduction for quality. Moreover, before using the six sigma quality management, the average level of sigma in this company was around 2.8, after using this, the level increased to 3.6. Particularly, the construction management part, the level increased from 1.3 to 2.6.2) respondents recognize that quality management costs by applying six sigma is reduced. but there is only a little operational efficiency because it is In the early stage of applying six sigma quality management.
