  • Recently, studies about process mining for creating and analyzing business process models from log data have received much attention from BPM (Business Process Management) researchers. Process mining is a kind of method that extracts meaningful information and hidden rules from the event log of enterprise information systems such as ERP and BPM. In this paper, repair processes of electronic devices are analyzed using ProM which is a process mining tool. And based on the analysis of repair processes, the method for finding major failure patterns is proposed by multi-dimensional data analysis beyond simple statistics. By using the proposed method, the reliability of electronic device can be increased by providing the identified failure patterns to design team.

  • A value net is a business design that uses digital supply chain concepts to achieve both superior customer satisfaction and company profitability. In order to implement the value net model, information processing and distribution needs to occur in real time. Software agent technology is becoming popular due to the inherent characteristics of autonomy, distributedness and modularity. In this paper, we adopt agent technology to handle all real time decision process, making the value net model a complex multi-agent network of decision makers. For the agents to properly coordinate their respective activities we develop MAVN model, a Web-based multi-agent language grounded in the XML and Java.

  • This research introduces the implementation for cash flow forecasting system in construction company through a case study. The implemented system shows how to develop overall corporate-level and project-level cash flow forecasting model based on a real business process in construction company. It takes 1 year to implement system. The study proposes the way of system design, process of system design, and considerations of implementation in step by step. Moreover, it shows main screen, limitation and reliability of the system. The proposed model is validated accurate, flexible and simple as a result of comparing actual data to forecasting data for 2 years. This system is easy to approach the employee who don't have any financial knowledge. This research is expected to assist to implement system of cash flow forecasting in construction company.

Taiwan Security Industry and Its Current Development of Education (대만 민간경비의 현황과 발전전망(臺灣保安産業與敎育發展現況))

  • 지난 10여 년 동안 대만사회의 가장 큰 변화 중 하나는 '개인 경비', 혹은 '개인 경호' 사업이 크게 발달했다는 것이다. 민간의 역량과 과학화된 설비로써 재산보호와 신변보호를 하고자 하는 개인 경비에는 여러 방식이 있다. 예를 들어 개인안전 경비(즉, 수행경호), 현금운송 경비, 주거경비, 상공업경비(여기에는 공장지대의 안전한 보호와 백화점, 금융기관, 보석상점 및 편의점 등의 경비가 포함됨), 그리고 각종 경비장치의 설치 등이 있다. 천징훼이(陳靜慧, 2006)는 대만의 경비 산업 경영형태에 대해 아래와 같이 분석하였다. 그의 주장에 따르면, 대만의 경비 산업은 일반 업무 위주로 하고 있으며, 여기에는 시스템 경비, 상근 경비, 현금 경비, 신변 경비가 있다고 밝혔다. 이 일반 업무는 일본, 미국, 독일의 형태와 유사하다. 그러나 미국과 독일의 경비회사들은 특수한 업무를 담당하고 있다. 미국의 경우 무장경비 현금수송, 신용조사 업무, 보험조사 업무, 거짓말 탐지 업무를 수행한다. 독일의 특수 업무에는 군대설비 경비, 교통지휘 및 질서 유지, 신속 고발 경비, 그리고 교도소 경비가 있다. 량신쩐(梁心禎, 2006)은 대만의 경비 산업 발전의 흐름에 대해 다음 세 단계로 구분했다. 제1단계는 1978년부터 1987년까지로 이 시기 대만은 일본 경비 사업 발전의 영향을 수용했기 때문에 일본의 경비사업 관리방식과 시스템 설비를 받아들여 점차 대만 방식의 경비 형태로 발전시켜 나갔다. 초기 발전단계의 경영방식은 주로 외국 기술과의 협력을 통한 시스템 경비가 주를 이루었다. 제2단계는 1988년부터 1997년까지인데, 이 시기에 이르러 경비 사업은 비인기 사업에서 인기 사업으로 시장이 확대되었고, 해외업체와의 활발한 기술 교류, 새로운 브랜드 개발과 경비 경영 방식의 혁신, 그리고 상근 경비와 수행경호와 같은 경비 관련 항목의 확장을 이루었다. 또한 이 시기에 수많은 경비회사들이 세워져 새로운 경쟁시대로 돌입하였다. 제3단계는 1998년부터 현재까지로 이전의 전통적인 건물경비 방식에서 경비와 부동산 관리 서비스를 함께하는 방식으로 경영 형태가 바뀌었고 전반적인 서비스 품질을 중시하기 시작하였다. 따라서 경비 사업자는 아파트 및 빌딩관리 보호 회사를 설립하여 이를 공동 경영하였으며, 전문적이고 종합적인 단계로 들어섰다. 대만 경비 교육제도의 설립과 제도화된 면허증 시스템 구축은 아직 초보적인 단계로써 여전히 이 두 방면의 발전을 강화시켜야 하는데, 교육과 심사를 시행하여 경비원의 소질을 향상시켜야 할 것이다. 경비사업자는 과학기술적인 통제 시스템을 받아들여 인건비를 낮추고 서비스의 범위와 품질을 향상시켜야 한다. 또한 각 지방의 노동조합은 정부가 법령을 개정하여 경비원의 자격제한과 업무를 보장해주도록 건의해야만 경호원의 대우와 이미지가 개선될 수 있다. 아울러 국제학술교류의 확대와 경비 관련 산업에 대한 토론회와 전시회를 자주 개최하여 새로운 지식을 습득해야 한다.

비즈니스 프로세스 서술도구 비교 : 은행 자산건전성 평가업무를 중심으로

  • In developing information systems, omissions and redundancies of user requirements are too frequent to increase development cost as they need to be remedied at later stages. In order to cope with this problem, various tools describing business processes have been proposed in the past and yet fewer attempts have been made to systematically and categorically evaluate performance of individual tools describing business processes. In this paper, we offer a general framework for appraising competing tools for describing business processes, including ERD, DFD, and Use Case Diagram in terms of ease of use, completeness, chance of having omissions, and. Based on a exemplary business From the measures proposed in this paper for comparing descriptive tools, ERD turns out to stand out over other often-used methodologies. Despite its problem with poor readability, ERD proves to offer relatively higher expressive power and ease of use. Being supplemented by well-formed job descriptions, ERD would remain a better choice in developing business information systems.

  • A stochastic modeling approach as a mathematical method for workflow intelligence is widely used for analyzing and simulating workflow models in the literature. In particular, as a resource-centric modeling approach, this paper proposes a stochastic model to represent work-handover relationships between performers in a workflow-supported social network. Calculating probabilities for the work-handover relationships are determined by two types of probabilities. One is the work-transition probability between activities, and the other is the task assignment probability between activities and performers. In this paper, we describe formal definitions of stochastic workflow models and stochastic work-handover relationship models, as well. Then, we propose an algorithm for extracting a stochastic work-handover relationship model from a stochastic workflow model. As a consequence, the proposed model ought to be useful in performing resource-centric workflow simulations and model-log comparison analyses.

  • It has a tendency to build Workflow Systems based on the web with the spread of web environment. The important function in Workflow Systems are to automatize job flow according to the predefined regulations, procedures or conditions. Hence, there needs to consider excluding passive jobs, supporting GUI and a migratory information processing for information flow. Distributed Workflow System for workflow of a distributed service system should perform transfer control and Fault-Tolerance between tasks based on process logic, and real time processing. However, the existing mail systems being used are just for transmission and it doesn't fit to automatize job flow. To solve the matter, there needs a Distributed Workflow Engine to design workflow and automatize its control. In this paper, we design a web browser with graphic interface using web mail, a browser creating a script code for a procedural performance. Also, we design a Process-engine has a Preprocessor which tolerates process scheduler for task transaction or server node's faults on distributed environment. The proposed system enhances the reliability and usability of a system reduces the cost rather than a workflow system based on database, for they execute as proxy for a server's fault or suers' absence.

Time-Space Variability Analysis for the Weekly Passenger Flow of the Seoul Subway System: Based on Dynamic Visualization Methods (서울 대도시권 지하철 통행흐름의 요일 간 변이성 분석: 동적 시각화방법을 토대로)

  • This study analyzes the time-space variability for the weekly passenger flow of the Seoul Subway system based on the dynamic visualization methods. For the purpose, we utilize one-week T-card transaction databases. By applying data mining algorithms, we extract passenger data for edge flows, on/off passengers at each subway station per minute interval time. It is practically intractable to analyze such spatio-temporal passenger flows by general statistical techniques. We employ dynamic visualization methods to analyze intuitively and to grasp effectively characteristics of the diurnal passenger flows on the Seoul Metropolitan Subway system during one week. As the result, we found that substantial differences exist on the spatio-temporal distribution patterns among days as well as between weekdays and weekend. We also investigates the time-space variability among eight major centers, and we found wide differences in their spatio-temporal distribution patterns.

A Study on Development Framework of Lift-up and Procurement System for Effective Resource Management in the Building Construction (건설공사의 자재관리 효율화를 위한 조달 및 양중시스템 기반구축에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to present an improved lift-up &procurement work flow for effective resource utilization in building construction. The current lift-up &procurement work flow has some waste factors; complicated information system, connection lack with process and decision-making delay. Therefore the study applied the value stream mapping methodology for improvement of current lift-up &procurement work flow. The main contents of the study are as follows; 1) Problems of current work flow were analyzed through current state mapping(CSM). 2) An improved work flow was suggested through future state mapping(FSM). 3) An improvement effect analysis of information system and lift-up planning was investigated. The study recommends continuous improvement of lift-up &procurement work flow and efficient management of information in building construction as a future research.
