An Evaluation of Effort for Developing the RIA-based Cyber Education System and the non-RIA-based Cyber Education System (RIA 기반 가상교육 시스템과 non-RIA 기반 가상교육 시스템의 개발 노력 비교)

  • With the growth of the Internet, web-based cyber education is progressing from the text-based to the hyper-based including multimedia, and from one way of simply giving the contents to the learner to another way of providing mutual interaction between the instructor and the learner. For this, there uses the RIA-based dynamic application and multimedia. RIA, which is the new paradigm on the web, provides the learners with more effective and rich contents. For developing a cyber education system, if we use the existing web languages, a large amount of effort is needed. But if we use the RIA-based paradigm, we can remarkably reduce the effort. Also, in developing a new web-based cyber education system the RIA paradigm makes the learners to satisfy their demands, and in developing the system providing the interaction the paradigm gives us the way minimizing the time and effort. In this paper, we compare and evaluate the efforts in developing the RIA based education system with the Non-RIA based education system.

The Direction to Assessment of School Mathematics in Accordance with 2009 Reformed Curriculum (2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 수학과 평가가 나아가야 할 방향)

  • This study was to find the direction to assessment of school mathematics in accordance with 2009 reformed curriculum. As new trends in the latest reformed 2009 curriculum, creativity, multicultural education, and mathematics disposition were focused. In creativity, more items should be developed for enhancing students' ability in areas of fluency, elaborateness, and originality, besides flexibility which was mostly dealt in the formal assessments that have been done previously in school. In multicultural education. purposeful bilingual programs should be developed in mathematics education to improve not only students' language skill, but also mathematical ability. In mathematical disposition, various questionnaires including checklists along with clinical interview should be provided to evaluate students' on-going process of mathematical learning.

The Analysis of Verbal Interaction in Elementary Science Programs Using Multi-Level Instruction (다수준 포함 교수법을 적용한 초등과학 프로그램에서의 언어적 상호작용 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop elementary science programs that used multi-level instruction and to analyze verbal interaction patterns in science classes that applied these programs. For this study, the 27 children from the fifth grade at B elementary school, located in Gyeonggi-do, were selected and separated into heterogeneous groups of four students. Verbal interactions occuring in two groups during each class were recorded using video. Elementary science programs using multi-level instruction were developed to target a fifth grade second semester 'Lesson 1. Human Body'. This program provided a mission form for each group and evaluation form for each child. A mission form depending on the children's level has different colors and levels of difficulty for questions. The evaluation form is composed of questions suitable for a child's level in reaching the goal with key concepts. The verbal interaction was mostly categorized into the cognitive domain and the affective domain for analysis. The cognitive domain was subdivided into question, response, making solution, receiving opinion, and the affective domain was divided into behavioral participation and students' attitude. Results of study showed that the frequency of the cognitive domain was higher than the frequency of the affective domain. In the cognitive domain, the median-level was of highest frequency in the children. In the affective domain, high-level was of highest frequency in the children. In terms of both the cognitive and affective domains of children, low-level exhibited the lowest frequency. Verbal interaction frequency was no difference between high-level and median level in cognitive and affective aspects, so median-level children were actively participating in activities similarly with high-level children. There were more types of interactions question, response, making solution, students' attitude in the median-low level children's verbal interaction than high-median level children's verbal interaction.

  • 자율주행 자동차 시장 규모 및 기술이 급속도로 성장하고 있음에도 불구하고, 전문가 교육을 위한 높은 하드웨어 비용 때문에 실제로 이 기술을 실험하기 위한 집단 교육 플랫폼의 필요성이 높아졌다. 이에 따라 우리는 자율주행에 사용되는 센서와 액츄에이터, 그리고 자율주행 알고리즘 학습을 위한 1/5 크기의 하드웨어를 포함한 교육 플랫폼을 설계했다. 이 교육 프로그램은 온라인 강의와 실습으로 구성되며, 각각의 모듈은 로봇 운영체제(ROS)를 활용한 C언어로 개발되었다. 이 교육 플랫폼은 언제 어디서나 접근 가능한 온라인 형식으로 제공되므로, 학생들은 이론과 실습을 통해 자율주행 분야의 전문가로 성장할 수 있는 기회를 얻게 되고 혁신과 경쟁력 강화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

An Analysis of Linguistic Features in Science Textbooks across Grade Levels: Focus on Text Cohesion (과학교과서의 학년 간 언어적 특성 분석 -텍스트 정합성을 중심으로-)

  • Learning efficiency can be maximized by careful matching of text features to expected reader features (i.e., linguistic and cognitive abilities, and background knowledge). The present study aims to explore whether this systematic principle is reflected in the development of science textbooks. The current study examined science textbook texts on 20 measures provided by Auto-Kohesion, a Korean language analysis tool. In addition to surface-level features (basic counts, word-related measures, syntactic complexity measures) which have been commonly used in previous text analysis studies, the present study included cohesion-related features as well (noun overlap ratios, connectives, pronouns). The main findings demonstrate that the surface measures (e.g., word and sentence length, word frequency) overall increased in complexity with grade levels, whereas the majority of the other measures, particularly cohesion-related measures, did not systematically vary across grade levels. The current results suggest that students of lower grades are expected to experience learning difficulties and lowered motivation due to the challenging texts. Textbooks are also not likely to be suitable for students of higher grades to develop the ability to process difficulty level texts required for higher education. The current study suggests that various text-related features including cohesion-related measures need to be carefully considered in the process of textbook development.

  • 프로그래밍 학습은 프로그램의 작성, 오류 수정, 실행을 통해 학습자의 문제 해결력과 논리적 사고력을 향상시킨다. 따라서 프로그래밍 언어는 쉽고 익히기 쉬어야 한다. 또한, 초등학생은 Piaget의 인지적 발달 단계로 볼 때 구체적 조작기(concrete operational period: 6, 7$\sim$11, 12세)에 해당하는 시기이다. 이 시기는 구체적인 사물을 가지고 조작함으로써 논리적 사고가 가능하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 프로그래밍이라는 매우 추상적인 작업을 로봇이라는 구체물을 통해 결과를 확인할 수 있게 하였으며, 프로그래밍 학습의 초기 단계에 있는 초등학생이 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 한글을 기반으로 프로그래밍 학습을 할 수 있도록 하고, DB를 활용하여 명령어를 사용자가 추가, 삭제, 수정할 수 있는 한글 기반의 로봇 프로그래밍 도구를 설계 및 개발하였다.

  • These days, school education is making every possible effort to bring up a human able to opposed creatively to 21 century social, because of society is global and informational step by step. For this, the special activity in the seventh curriculum is expended and reorganized from three areas to five areas. On the other hand, the special activity is pushed ahead with the developmental activity in consideration of student's ability and aptitude. However, the teachers are difficult to organize of the developmental activity in based on student's ability and aptitude. Because of developmental activity is organized in the beginning of a term, not only the teachers are fallen to realize student's ability and aptitude but also students ignore ability and aptitude themselves. Therefore this paper designs a program based on MI(Multiple Intelligence) theory to compose developmental activity effectively. Up to now, MI is introduced nine kinds of intelligence, Linguistic Intelligence, Logical-Mathematical Intelligence, Musical Intelligence, Spatial Intelligence, Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence, Naturalist Intelligence, and Existentialist intelligence. this paper designs the K-MIDAS test[1] based on seven kinds of intelligence areas and implements developmental activity program suit to student's ability and aptitude based on the MI test result.

A Convergence Study on the Relationship among Job Rotation, Verbal Abuse and Organizational Commitment of Perioperative Nurses (수술실 간호사의 배치전환, 언어폭력, 조직몰입간의 관련성에 대한 융복합 연구)

  • This study was conducted to examine the relationship among job rotation, verbal abuse and organizational commitment and the incfluencing factors of organizational commitment of perioperative nurses. 312 perioperative nurses attended at the KAORN conference agreed to participate in this research were examined. To analyze the data, SPSS 21.0 program was used. Study findings revealed a statistically significant relationships with positive relationship between job rotation and organizational commitment, but negative relationship between verbal abuse and organizational commitment. The most influencing factor was job satisfaction explaining 57.7%, while job rotation and verbal abuse did not show influence significantly. Some differentiated education programs are needed to develop to enhance the organizational commitment as well as conducting further study including meaningful variables.

  • This study proposed new approach for the information gifted discrimination test using EPL. We tried to distinguish high level thinking in the information gifted through test of this study. We categorized testing tool according to context type: simple attribute problem, complex same attribute problem, complex focus attribute problem, mathematic-verbal ability required problem. And testing tool divided into modifying scripts, guess scripts's result, using scratch program. In the effectiveness test of proposed tool, we confirmed content validity and credibility.

  • The objective of this study is to develop and implement a smart device based instructional analysis application to enhance the efficiency of teaching in class. The main design features for this application are as follows: first, User Interface(UI) has been simplified to provide teachers a clear and easy-to-understand way to utilize the application. Second, the characteristics of Korean language were considered, such as sentence structure. Third, multi-aspect analysis is possible through adopting three analysis types - Flanders' interaction analysis, Tuckman's analysis, Mcgraw's concentration of instruction analysis. The practical instructional analysis application has been developed through this study, and this user-oriented application will be able to help teachers improve the quality of teaching in class. Also, this study can be a starting point for further researches on design principles of instructional analysis, especially with the recent technology and theories, such as a voice-recognition system, an edutainment applied instruction and an experiential learning.
