  • NiAl powders containing oxide dispersoids have been produced by mechanical alloying process in a controlled atmosphere using high energy attrition mill. The powders have been consolidated by hot extrusion and hot pressing followed by isothermal annealing to induce microstructure coarsening to improve high temperature properties. Grain growth and dispersoid coarsening kinetics have been investigated as functions of annealing time and temperature. Coarsening of dispersion strengthen NiAl and dispersoid has been discussed. Some clues of secondary recrystallization have been investigated. Mechanical property measurements have been also made and correlated with the microstructures.

  • There are various researches which proposed an automatic instance generation from freetext on the web. Existing researches that focused on English, adopts pattern representation which is generated by simple rules and regular expression. These simple patterns achieves high performance, but it is not suitable in Korean due to differences of characteristics between Korean and English. Thus, this paper proposes a novel method for generating patterns and instances which focuses on Korean. A proposed method generates high quality patterns by taking advantages of dependency relations in a target sentences. In addition, a proposed method overcome restrictions from high degree of freedom of word order in Korean by utilizing postposition and it identifies a subject and an object more reliably. In experiment results, a proposed method shows higher precision than baseline and it is implies that proposed approache is suitable for self-knowledge learning system.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the phenomena of preposing and inversion in English from the discourse-pragmatic perspectives. We claim that different types of preposing can be unified to a single process of topicalization. We also show that diverse discourse functions of inversion can be subsumed under the ‘linking’ function with the prior discourse. It is followed a comparative discussion between preposing and inversion to find what similarities the two constructions share and what differences there exist between the two. It is concluded that the choice of a syntactic forms ultimately depends on the speaker's evaluation of the information status of the knowledge store of the hearer.
