가정의 사회경제적 지위, 어머니의 심리적 복지감 및 양육행동과 아동의 친구관계가 학교적응에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of SES, Mother's Psychological Well-being, Child-rearing Behavior and Child's Peer Relationship on School Adjustment)

  • The main purpose of this study was to assess the effects of SES, mother's psychological well-being, child-rearing behavior and child's peer relationship on school adjustment. A total of 237 children enrolled in the 5th and 6th grade and their mothers were used for this study. Data was collected via questionnaires completed by children and their mothers. The path analysis of antecedent variables influencing child's school adjustment revealed two different patterns. Firstly, socioeconomic status influenced child's school adjustment through maternal psychological well-being. Secondly, maternal psychological well-being affected by socioeconomic status contributed to child's school adjustment through positive child-rearing behavior and positive peer relationship. Focusing on maternal psychological well-being and mother's child-rearing behavior, the implication for promoting child's school adjustment are discussed.

  • The relations of mothers' attitudes regarding maternal employment to mothers' psychological well-being, mothers' parenting sensitivity and children's social competence were examined for mothers who worked full-time (extensively) from age 6 months of their children on, mothers who were not employed, and mothers who worked part-time or inconsistently during their children's early years. Longitudinal observations of 1,034 mothers and children in the NICHD Study of Early Child Care from age one month to first grade were analyzed using structural equation models. As predicted, mothers and children benefited when maternal attitudes were consistent with mother's actual employment status. Among extensively employed mothers, those with positive attitudes about employment had better psychological well-being; among mothers who were not employed, those who believed that maternal employment would have negative consequences for children's development reported better psychological well-being. The findings suggested that whether the mother's status of employment is congruent with their beliefs, not whether the mother is working or not, predicted the mother's well-being and their child's social development.

어머니의 양육행동 및 정서표현과 유아의 창의적 인성 간의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과 (The mediating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between mothers' parenting behavior, emotional expression and the creative personality of children)

  • This study examined the mediating effects of self-esteem on the mothers' parenting behavior, emotional expression and the creative personality of the children. A survey was conducted in Kwang ju and Chonnam of 259 mothers with children from 3-5 years old. Based on the data, Pearson's correlations between variables were analyzed, and hierarchical regression analyses were conducted to identify the direct and indirect effects of the mothers' parenting behavior, emotional expression and self-esteem on the creative personality of the children. The study found significant correlations among all four variables studied. In particular, self-esteem acted as a partial mediator in the relationship between the mothers' parenting behavior, emotional expression and creative personality of the children. The results suggest that increasing self-esteem in mothers may edify the creative personality in their children.

유아기 어머니의 심리적 복지척도 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development of Psychological Well-Being Scale for Early Children's Mothers)

  • The study attempted to explore the dimensionality of mother's psychological well-being. The major purpose of the study was aimed at establishing the construct validity regarding the instrument of assessing mother's psychological well-being. Instrument for assessing psychological well-being was developed with 9 variables(sense of control, sense of achievement, sense of confidence, sense of acceptance, sense of intimacy, sense of assistance, sense of immersion, sense of hope, and sense of satisfacion) in 3 dimensions(sense of competency, sense of relation, and sense of improvement) with 4 rating scales of 102 items. After the scale development, the estimates of reliability for the 9-variable scales were Cronbach's ${\alpha}=.71{\sim}.90.$ The correlation between the two scales, Psychological Well-Being Index(Franklin, 1996) and Psychological Well-Being(Ryff & Keyes, 1995) was .21~25. The subjects were divided two groups by the score of the Mother's sense of Psychological Well-Being. And the group has hiher score in Mother's sense of Psychological Well-Being showed the higer score of Perceptions of Parental Role Responsibilities Scale(t=3.24, p=.002).

어머니의 가정내 변혁적리더십이 청소년자녀의 심리적복지감 및 진로결정자기효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Mothers' Transformational Leadership in the Family on the Psychological Well-Being and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy of Adolescents)

  • The purpose of this study was is to investigate the relationship between transformational leadership in families and psychological well-being and career decision-making self-efficacy. The samples were randomly selected from high school students studying liberal arts in Seoul. 400 survey questionnaires were distributed March 11 through 18, 2010. Among them, 386 completed surveys were utilized as the data for the statistic analyses. SPSS were applied. The main results of the study are as follows. First, adolescent children of mothers with leadership have higher psychological well-being than those from families of mothers without leadership. This has been determined as a result of reviewing the psychological well-being of adolescent children according to their mothers' transformational leadership in the family. Second, the adolescent group with mothers who show transformational leadership in managing the home have higher career decision-making self-efficacy than the group without such mothers. This was determined as a result of reviewing adolescent children's career decision-making self-efficacy according to mother's transformational leadership level in the family. Third, career decision-making self-efficacy according to adolescents' psychological well-being show positive relations by group. That is, adolescents living table lives are more positive about their future. Lastly, when comparing the relative contribution of the mother's transformational leadership in the family and psychological well-being on career decision-making self-efficacy, it has gained more credibility as stage ads. Based on the results, when mothers nurture children with a affection-based autonomy, children gain higher psychological well-being, which leads to firm beliefs about constructive futures. Therefore, for successful and systematic career development, CEO mothers' transformational leadership should serve as its foundation.

중년기여성의 문화복지로서 한국무용의 효과성에 관한 연구 (Study of an Effect of Korean Dance for Middle-Aged Womens as a Culturel Welfare)

  • 중년기여성의 문화복지로서 한국무용의 효과성에 대한 연구이다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 질적인 접근(qualitative approach)하였고, 자료 수집기간은 2016년 2월 10일에서 2016월 4월 1일까지였으며, 자료수집방법은 심층면담을 주로 사용하였다. 연구결과는 문화복지로서 한국무용에 참여하는 중년기 여성은 첫째, 정서적 영역 측면에서 자아성취와 사회소속감을 느꼈고, 중년기 우울증을 해소하여 심리적 안정에 많은 효과를 보았음을 알수 있었다. 또한 자율성과 생산성이 떨어진 연구대상자들은 한국무용 참여를 통한 자존감 회복에 큰 효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 운동영역으로서의 한국무용은 한국전통음악과 함께 동작을 표현함으로써 대근육과 소근육을 강화를 하여 평소 쓰지 않던 근육을 활용했다. 중년여성들은 평소 앓고 있었던 신체증상이 완화됨을 경험하였고, 이는 운동반경을 넓힘에 따라 전반적 운동기능이 향상되었다고 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 인지적 영역 측면에서 한국무용 중 친숙하고 익숙한 한국음악의 멜로디가 기억과 회고의 기회를 주며 중년기 여성의 어머니, 할머니가 좋아했던 음악을 들으면서 편안한 시절의 회상력을 증진시킬수 있었다. 마지막으로, 사회적 영역에서 한국무용은 음악과 동작을 통해 대상자 스스로를 수용하여 주고, 관계 속에서 느낀 고립과 갈등을 극복할 수 있는 매개체의 역할을 수행한다고 하였다. 또한 사회공동체의 일원으로 익힌 한국무용을 지역사회에 환원함으로 해서 지역사회와의 연계로 인한 자아실현도 하게 되었다.

손자녀 양육지원을 거부한 조모의 경험에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Experience of the Grandmothers Who Refused to Support Childcare)

  • 본 연구는 손자녀 양육지원을 거부한 조모의 경험을 살펴봄으로써 손자녀 양육을 지원하고 있는 가족 및 노년기 여성에 대한 이해를 풍부하게 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 가족 내에서돌봄 역할을 주로 맡아온 조모를 대상으로 이들이 손자녀 양육을 수용하지 않은 계기와 맥락, 이를 둘러싼 가족관계 경험을 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 질적 연구방법 중 현상학적연구방법을 활용하였으며 손자녀 양육지원을 '거부한' 경험이 있는 노년기 여성 7명이 참여하였다. 연구결과, 첫째 이들은 손자녀 양육에서 오는 부담감과 연장된 어머니 역할에 대한 거부감, 가족 간 갈등발생 우려로 손자녀를 돌보지 않기로 하였으나, 성인자녀의 요청을 거절한 것에 대해 미안함을 느끼고 있었다. 둘째, 이들의 돌봄지원 거부 결정은 가족 구성원의 다양한역동을 야기했으나 이들은 심리적 어려움을 경험하면서도 나름의 방식으로 성인자녀들의 요구에 대응하며 자신의 결정을 관철하고 있었다. 셋째, 노년기 여성들은 손자녀 양육을 성인자녀들의 과업 혹은 사회가 책임져야 할 문제로 인식하고 있었으며, 가족과 사회가 여성 노인에게돌봄 책임을 전가한 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과는 돌봄 및 가족관계에 대해 과거 노인세대와 다른 관점을 가진 여성 노인들이 등장했다는 점, 전통적인 젠더 인식과 가족돌봄 규범에 균열과 변화가 발생했다는 점을 확인해준다. 이는 돌봄지원 정책에 수립 시 이들의 관점을 보다 적극적으로 반영해야 할 필요성이 있음을 시사한다. 이를 바탕으로 손자녀 양육을 지원하고 있는 가족 및 노년기 여성을 위한 실천적 정책적 개입 방안을 제시하였다.
