  • Using NFC sensing technology and smart phone, nursery total solution system has been developed and bus position and time information can be conformed through its total system without additional GPS receiver and hardware. This total system will be applied on nursery school with low cost.

  • As the use of school buses becomes more common, related laws are being enacted, such as making it mandatory for children to check school bus dropouts due to frequent accidents caused by the negligence of school bus drivers and their guardians. In this paper, we propose a safe school bus system that links efficient radio-frequency identification (RFID) and mobile APP in terms of energy utilization and cost. The school bus system uses RFID cards to check information on children boarding the school bus, and real-time SMS transmission allows parents to safely send their children to and from school. Instructors on the school bus can check their children's disembarkation information once more through APP, preventing various accidents that may occur to children left on the bus. Due to the automation of the school bus operation log, daycare center teachers can not only check the information on getting on and off, but also manage the information on the attendance and discharge of the students.

  • Communication through smartphones is creating a new paradigm of mobile communication beyond the restrictions of mobility and space. The mobile instant messengers of the smartphone, which began on the desktop environment, are providing various communication features, including multimedia contents, texts, and voice. Kindergartens and nurseries are using Websites, phones, SMS, printed materials, handwritten notifications, etc. to communicate with the parents. IsPlus was developed to facilitate the communication between the parents and the teachers, including exchanges of pictures and videos, chatting, and attendance management using smartphones. This is meaningful in that it is an early smartphone mobile messenger for educational institutions for infants and preschoolers. This study presented a new approach to the development of a mobile messenger for a specific group of users by analyzing the user environment, communication types, application planning process and interface design development using storytelling.
