The purpose of this study is identify factors influenced of children's library use and management through investigating the use patterns and recognition of children's parents on children's libraries. Questionnaire was used as a research method. Data was collected from the parents who entered library entrance with their child and children on four public libraries. Six factors were identified from four public libraries setting. There were the spatial planning based upon library use patterns, the flexibility and mobile furnishings, the activity area for causing children's Interesting, the guarantee of safety Place for children, the quiet area for emotional stability, and functional place for moving around.

The paper analyzes local children's libraries' status of application of classification scheme and problems and difficulties in its application in order to be used as basic material for development of classification scheme for exclusive use of children's libraries. Through survey, the paper researched 96 local children's libraries, and the results showed that KDC-applied libraries numbered 53 and were the highest, libraries which developed their own classification scheme numbered 22, and libraries which applied classification scheme for children's library numbered 13. Further, many asserted that there needs to be a development of standard classification scheme to be used in children's library. On problems and difficulties in applying classification scheme, notes such as difficulty of accommodating various forms of children's books(such as comic books and picture books), placing too much emphasis on collection of books on certain topic, and lack of topic categories appropriate for characteristics of collected books were voiced, and by holding additional discussion on these, the paper raised the usefulness of the dissertation to be used as basic materials for developing classification scheme for exclusive use of children's library in the future.

Police agency is indicated that the number of children's traffic accident is tending downwards, however about one child is dead every day due to traffic accident. Major parts of the accidents happen during walking; among the rest, jaywalking is the biggest reason. Many accidents take plate on the road to school or near the home so government legislate children safeguard zone at 1995. According to the legislation, drivers have to reduce speed and there are safety facilities for children at children safeguard zone. This study finds the problems of children safeguard zone and suggest more effective and quantitative method for children safeguard zone. Firstly this study grasps the characters of children's pattern movement and children's traffic accident at children safeguard zone and then divides specific danger factors of children's traffic accident at children safeguard zone. Secondly, each factor is given danger level depending on danger degree and suggests effective method for assignment standard of children safeguard zone using all of these things.

The study aimed to identify current situations of Korean church libraries. The results from 22 church libraries are investigated in terms of some factors such as material organization, quantity of materials, facilities, staffs, budgets, public services, users and classification systems. Current libraries are very small in its facility, quantity of the materials and the budget, and lack of the full-time librarian. Recently, children's libraries are established among small churches, and their budgets and public services are stable. Suggestions for revitalizing the church libraries are made: the pastor's understanding of the significance of church library for missions' sake, establishment of more church libraries, acquisitions of various non-book materials, budget security, necessity for a full-time librarian, provision of various types of services and cooperations among church libraries.

Suggested reading lists in South Korea have been developing in various aspects thanks to the general understanding of importance of reading education and an increases in the number of school libraries and children libraries. A majority of previous researches consider the suggested reading lists as selection tools. However, this paper selects 17 well-known suggested reading lists and indicates their values as important information source. In this process, the research analyses the recent trends in the 17 suggested reading lists in 10 aspects: history, retrieval methods, developing institution, type of reading lists distribution methods, subject specification, participation of librarian, bibliographic information, subject classification and grouping target reader. From analysing these aspects, the paper suggests a need of unified information from authorized and children-information-related institutions.

본 글은 1987년에 실시된 어린이 심장병 예방 검진에 근거하여 실시된 바 있는 ‘88년도 제1차 “어린이 성인병 예방 검진에 관한 연구”의 결과와 그 배경 등에 관한 것이다. 이 연구에서는 어린이 성인병 예방의 문제는 먼 미래의 일도 아니며, 또한 쉽게 해결될 수 있는 문제가 아님을 새롭게 환기시켜주고 있다. 국민건강관리에 있어 매우 중요한 의미를 갖고 있는 이 연구사업이 결과를 살펴봄으로서 우리나라 일선 보건 실무자들에게 좋은 보건 관계 자료가 되고 또 이를 통하여 국민 보건 증진에 조금이나마 보탬이 되기를 바란다.

The first phase of School Zone Improvement Project introduced to enhance the safety of school-routes were completed by 2007 and the second phase of the project will be continued from 2008 to 2012. Since a huge budget is required for the project, there is a need to evaluate how many child-related crashes were reduced through the project, prior to the implementation of the second phase. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of the School Zone Improvement Project on reduction in child-related crashes with data collected from the database of the National Police Agency. This study employed a Before-and-After study with comparison group to assess how many crashes were reduced. The results showed that the number of child-related crashes were decreased by 10, which is about 39% reduction in crash frequencies. With respect to the land use characteristics of school zones, the number of reduced crashes in residential zone, commercial zone, and mixed zone were 2.41, 3.8, and 0.5, respectively. The results may provide a significant implication for the second phase of the project that there is a need to establish different plans for improvement project with respect to land use characteristics.

This research investigated which evaluation factors in children's television animation programs children between 7 and 11 years of age value. We collected data by means of questionnaires among 120 children of elementary school first through fourth graders. As research result, the most important evaluation factors for children were fun and action, closely followed by innocuousness, purity, realism, comprehensibility, and violence respectively. Boys in both samples attached more value to fun and action in a children's television animation, whereas girls in both samples attached more value to innocuousness and fun.
