틸트로터에서 발생하는 공력소음의 측정에 관한 연구 (Measurements on the Aerodynamic Noise Generated from a Tiltrotor)

  • In this paper the aeroacoustic characteristics of a tilt-rotor system is measured by using a sealed model tilt-rotor. With a microphone array system and the do-dopplerization algorithm, the location and the characteristics of rotor noise are successfully measured. The most of high frequency noise (4kHz) is found to be located at rotor blade tips, but the low frequency tonal noise is dominant on the middle of the rotor blades. The measured tonal noise characteristics are compared to the results of theoretical calculation. At 0.5m distance from the rotor plane, measured and calculated data are relatively well matched regardless of rotating speed and collective pitch angie for the azimuthal angles between $0^{\circ}\;and\;60^{\circ}$. However, the data on the azimuthal angles between $70^{\circ}\;and\;90^{\circ}$ are not quite comparable. In addition, the compared data for far-field case (1.5m) are quite different. This is probably due to the unsteady effect which if not included in the theoretical calculation.

빔형성방법을 이용한 회전하는 음원의 위치 판별에 관한 연구 (Localization of Rotating Sound Sources Using Beamforming Method)

  • The positions of rotating sound sources have been localized by experiments with the Doppler effects removed. In order to de-Dopplerize the sound signals emitted from moving sources, two kinds of signal reconstruction methods were applied. One is the forward propagation method and the other is the backward propagation method. Forward propagation method analyze the source emission time based on the instantaneous distance between sensors and the assumed source position, then the signals are reconstructed with respect to the emission time. On the other hand, the backward method uses time delay to do-Dopplerize the acquired data for the received time of reference. In both techniques. the reconstructed signal data were processed using beamforming algorithm to produce power distributions at the frequencies of interest. Experiments have been carried out for varying frequencies, rotating speeds and the object distances. It is shown that the forward propagation method gives better performance in locating source position than the backward propagation method.

개선된 이동 프레임 음향 홀로그래피 방법과 이동 음원의 방사 소음의 가시화에 대한 응용 (Review of the Improved Moving Frame Acoustic Holography and Its Application to the Visualization of Moving Noise Sources)

  • This paper reviews the improved moving frame acoustic holography (MFAH) method and its application. Moving frame acoustic holography was originally proposed to increase the aperture size and the spatial resolution of hologram by using a moving line array of microphones. The hologram of scanned plane can be obtained by assuming the sound field to be product of spatial and temporal information. Although conventional MFAH was only applied to sinusoidal signals, it allows us to visualize the noise generated by moving noise sources by employing a vertical line array of microphones affixed to the ground. However, the sound field generated by moving sources becomes different from that of stationary ones due to the movement of the sources. Firstly, this paper introduces the effect of moving noise sources on the obtained hologram by MFAH and the applicability of MFAH to the visualization of moving sources. Secondly, this paper also reviews improved MFAH that can visualize a coherent narrow band noise and a pass-by noise. The practical applicability of the improved MFAH was demonstrated by visualizing tire noise during a pass-by test.

반무향실내에서의 가속 주행 소음 예측 방법 (Passby Noise Prediction in Semi-anechoic Chamber)

  • We investigated passby noise measurement method in a small-sized semi-anechoic chamber satisfying the American based SAE J1470 Recommended Practice to facilitate the measurements. We have tired two passby noise prediction methods. One is line array microphone method in which the free space sound field is decomposed into its eigenfunctions in the spherical coordinates and rearranged according to the order of the spherical Hankel function. However, due to the characteristics of the spherical Hankel function, it is impossible to distinguish the function's characteristics according to the order in farfield. Consequently it can be applied in the transient region of the nearfield and the farfield. The other method is nearfield acoustic holography(NAH). Although measuring hologram for the several operational engine speeds by conventional scanning method is time-consuming work, we can greatly reduce the measuring time by selecting the appropriate engine speed through preexperimental knowledge. To verify this method we experimented with the outdoor passby noise measurements and the passby noise prediction in the small-sized semi-anechoic chamber for the identical passenger vehicle and obtained reasonable and acceptable results.

CPSP의 저주파 위상 복원을 이용한 화자 위치 추적 알고리듬의 성능 개선 (An Enhancement of Microphone Array System Using Hybrid Window Algorithm)

  • 본 연구에서는 마이크로폰 어레이를 이용하여 화자의 음성신호로부터 화자의 위치를 추정하는 기존의 대표적인 알고리듬인 CPSP(Cross Power Spectrum Phase)로부터 보다 반향에 강인한 알고리듬인 저주파 위상 복원 알고리듬을 제안한다. CPSP 함수는 상호 상관관계(Cross Correlation)가 정규화 되어있는 형태를 갖는데, CPSP 함수의 최대 값 인덱스로부터 화자의 공간정보인 TDOA(Time Difference Of Arrival)를 추출한다. 그러나 CPSP 함수를 이용한 공간정보 추정 알고리듬은 실내환경에서 심각하게 일어나는 반향신호에 대해서 취약한 단점을 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 저주파 위상복원 알고리듬은 주파수 측면에서 반향신호가 CPSP 함수에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 반향으로 인하여 왜곡된 위상 성분을 복원함으로써 보다 신뢰도 있는 TDOA 추정을 가능하게 한다. 반향신호로 인한 CPSP의 위상은 저주파보다 고주파에서 심하게 왜곡되는데, 각각의 반향신호의 도달 시간을 기하학적 분포를 갖는 확률변수로 모델링하여 이를 수학적으로 증명하였다. 또한 실제 환경에서 채집한 음성신호를 이용한 모의 실험을 통해 개선된 알고리듬의 성능 개선을 확인하였다.

  • The use of beamforming method and de-Dopplerization technique was applied in studying the rotating sound sources. Acoustic analysis of a moving sound source required that the measured sound signals be do-Dopplerized and restored as of the original emission signals. Two main issues of the signal reconstruction in time domain are addressed herein: First, to remove Doppler effect from the measured data and to restore the original emission data of the moving source. The difference of the time domain beamforming from the frequency domain beamforming was mentioned. Also, the time domain beamforming method is deployed in the test and the comparisons were made to the frequency domain results. The time domain signal reconstruction was numerically simulated prior to the application. To validate the de-Dopplerization Performance, the rotating Point sources were examined and localized by the use of a phased array of microphone. The application of prop-rotor was conducted in a hovering condition. The results of reconstructing time signals of rotating sources and its locations were shown in the power distribution maps. In the prop-rotor measurements, the acoustic source locations were successfully verified in varying positions for different frequencies of interest.

  • Acoustic analysis of a moving sound source required that the measured sound signals be do-Dopplerized and restored as of the original emission signals. The purpose of this research is development of beamforming technique can be applied to the rotor noise source identification. For the do-Dopplerization and reconstruction of emitted sound wave, Forward Propagation Method is applied to the time domain beamforming technique. And validation test were performed using rotating sound source constructed by bended pipe and horn driver. In the validation test using sinusoidal sound wave, sufficient performance of signal processing can be seen, and the effect of measuring duration for accuracy was compared. In the prop-rotor measurements, the acoustic source locations were successfully verified in varying positions for different frequencies and collective pitch angle, in hover condition.

  • Recently, several experimental techniques for identifying the noise sources distributed over a moving vehicle are being developed and used in order to design a low noise vehicle. The beamforming method, which uses phase information between several microphones to localize the source position, is proved to be one of the promising techniques applicable even under complicated test environments. In this study a beamforming algorithm is developed and applied to measure the dominant noise sources on a passenger car moving at constant speed. Unlike the acoustic signals from a stationary noise source, the sound generated from a moving source is distorted due to the Doppler effects. The sound pressure are measured with an spiral array system composed of 26 microphones and a pair of photo sensors are used to measure the. vehicle speed. The information about the speed and relative position of the vehicle are used to eliminate the Doppler effects from the measured pressure signal by using a de-Dopplerization algorithm. The noise generated from a moving vehicle can be grouped in many ways, however, tire noise and the noise generated from the engine are distinguishable at the speeds being tested.

  • 본 논문에서는 고속철도의 주행 시 발생하는 공력소음에 대한 특성을 도출하는 연구를 수행하였다. 우선, 마이크로폰 어레이 시스템을 이용하여 고속철도 차량의 주행 소음을 측정을 통해서, 주요 공력소음원이 고속철도 차량의 전두부, 팬토그래프, 차간 부위임을 확인하였다. 또한 측정한 데이터를 바탕으로 빔형성 방법을 이용하여 빔출력을 구하였으며, 푸리에 변환을 통해서 주파수 영역에서의 빔파워 스펙트럼을 도출하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 고속철도의 주요 공력 소음원인 전두부, 팬토그래프, 차간 부위에 대한 음압 특성이 빔형성 방법을 이용하여 도출되었다.

원통형 음향 홀로그라피를 이용한 성덕대왕 신종의 방사음장 특성 분석 (An analysis of the Sound Radiation Characteristics of the King Song-Dok Bell Using Cylindrical Acoustic Holography)

  • 성덕대왕 신종의 방사 음장 특성을 분석하기 위하여 30개의 마이크로폰으로 구성된 어레이를 이용하여 360개의 위치에서 음압을 측정한 후 원통형 음향 홀로그라피 방법을 적용하여 시간, 주파수별로 음장 해석을 행하였다. 타종 직후, 신종에서 방사되는 음장은 넓은 주파수 영역(800Hz까지 해석)에 걸쳐 고른 분포를 가지나 시간이 지남에 따라 고주파 성분은 급격히 감쇠하여 약 10초 이후에는 저주파 성분만이 존재한다. 마찬가지로 시간에 따른 음압 신호를 살펴보면 초기에 여러 성분의 모우드들이 중첩되어 복잡한 모양을 하고 있으나 10초 이후에는 한쌍의 저주파 성분(64.06Hz, 64.38Hz)에 의한 맥놀이 현상이 나타남을 확인할 수 있다. 이 맥놀이에 의한 여음이 초기의 화려하면서 장엄한 소리와 어우러져 신종만의 독특한 소리를 나타낸다. 맥놀이 현상은 종의 축에 대한 비대칭 현상에 의해 근접한 고유진동수를 가지기 때문에 발생하며 다른 고주파 성분에서도 쌍으로 존재하는 고유진동수를 관찰할 수 있다. 저주파 모우드의 경우 쌍으로 존재하는 방사 음장 형태는 길이 방향 절선 간격의 반에 해당되는 각도만큼 회전되어 나타난 것을 제외하고는 동일함을 알 수 있으며 고주파 모우드의 경우는 이보다 복잡한 모양을 이루고 있다.
