Implications and future directions were discussed for childcare services on adolescent parents having crisis related to childbirth and child rearing.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the child care support policies and the birth rate in 33 OECD countries. In the structural equation modelling, the birth rate was the dependent variable while the cash-support policies, the child-care facility service policies, and the tax benefits policies were the independent variables. The analysis showed that the most effective factor on the birth rate was the child-care facility service policies. Regarding the effectiveness of the policy expenses, the cash-support policies showed stable fluctuation of effectiveness according to the fluctuation of cash amount, the child-care facility service policies. In conclusion, in order to increase the effectiveness of the cash-support policies, the adequate cost calculation to decrease the parents' burden for child-bearing, re-allocation of budget, and support methods and timing should be continually discussed. In addition, for the better effectiveness of the facility service policies, more various, comprehensive and high-quality facility service policies that could balance home and work, should be implemented.

This study investigated the effect of cash benefit and in-kind benefit policy supported by disabled children on the satisfaction of service care of main caregiver. The results of this study are as follows. First, the parental stress, parenting burden, and family members' difficulties were investigated. However, the research on the salary policy supported by the handicapped children has been scarce, and it has been found that the research on the service satisfaction of the main caregiver is also insufficient by the type of salary. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of variables (parents gender, child gender, parents age, child age, disability grade, average income) on service satisfaction. As a result, parents age, child age, and child gender showed statistically significant effects on service satisfaction. This resulted in statistically significant overall effects on the application process, economic burden, support and selection criteria, service volume, and overall satisfaction. Based on the results of the study, the implications for cash benefits and in-kind benefits could be improved by increasing the amount and scope of benefits, and customized services considering the age of the handicapped children, ultimately improving the service satisfaction of the main caregiver.
The issue of child care in family policy is one of the most important agendas. It is the primary task for a welfare state to form such conditions as socializing it to ensure labor rights and parental rights. The aim of this study is to review any controversies in the agenda of free choice in child care. But real 'free choice' comes true when all community members as individuals are able to enjoy their rights as both workers and parents without any restriction and sexual discrimination in the labor market. But in reality 'free choice' has not been realized in our society. This study is based on the analysis of these issues in free choice - the concepts of liberty, equity and equality, the role of the state, financial efficiency and the status of women in the labor market. Based on the analysis of the issues in accordance with the criteria, I suggest some policy recommendations: adequate and sufficient child care services, the introduction of univer sal child benefits and the expansion of public child care facilities.
Many studies verified the relationship between parenting stress and the abuse of children with disability. It means that disability is a risk factor for abuse. The purpose of this study is to examine the parenting stress as a predictor of child abuse potential. For this study, 150 parents of children with disabilities were recruited. A personal questionnaire, parenting stress index, and potential factors of child abuse were responded. According to the results, parents who have children with disabilities reported high parenting stress and also parenting stress significantly affected parents' attitudes toward child abuse. Income, level of education, social involvement, governmental support, and social services for disabled were related to parenting stress and child abuse. Stepwise multiple regression analysis identified the variables of social involvement and social services for disabled as the most important variables in explaining parenting stress and child abuse. This study suggests that social supports and services for the parents of children with disabilities should be provided.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the family relationship and the awareness of child abuse of parents with elementary and middle school children. This study also examines the mediating effect of parenting stress between the family relationship and awareness of child abuse. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted to school parents living in A metropolitan area and the 389 data were used for analysis. As a result of the analysis, their child abuse awareness showed that family relationship effected their awareness of child abuse positively and on parenting stress negatively. In addition, the partial mediating effect of parenting stress was proved between the family relationship and child abuse awareness. The results of this analysis signify that the family relationship is the important independent variable and parenting stress is the main mediating variable between the two variables. According to these analysis results, this study suggested that it is necessary to enhance family relations enhancement programs, child abuse prevention manual, and various parenting support services and strengthen the function of Health Family Support Center as a delivery system of family welfare services.
