  • Telangiectatic osteosarcoma is a rare variant of osteosarcoma. The rib is an uncommon primary site for conventional osteosarcoma, and even more for telangiectatic osteosarcoma. Because this tumor consists of single to multiple cystic cavities that contain blood or necrotic tumor with no appreciable areas of sclerosis, careful observation is needed to differentiate this malignancy from other benign cystic lesion. Therefore primary differential diagnosis including telangiectatic osteosarcoma is important, although rib is not the predilection site of telangiectatic osteosarcoma. We present a case of telangiectatic osteosarcoma arising in a rib. We reviewed the literature concerning telangiectatic osteosarcomas and primary osteosarcomas arising from the rib. The differential diagnosis of telangiectatic osteosarcoma and clinical features of osteosarcomas arising from unusual locations were discussed.

  • Simple bone cysts are common, benign bone tumor and for the treatment, curettage with bone grafting, resection and intralesional steroid or autogenic bone marrow injections were usually performed. Simple bone cysts of the calcaneus are relatively uncommon and curettage with autologous bone grafting were proposed for management rather than intralesional steroid injections. We would like to report 9 year-old male with calcaneal simple bone cyst treated satisfactorily by minimally invasive endoscopic curettage and autologous bone grafting with review of the relevant literature.

  • Purpose: To report two cases of bone tumors other than osteoid osteoma in the proximal femur and treated with percutaneous high frequency radioablation method. Cases: We reviewed two cases with intracortical chondroma and enchondroma in the femoral head retrospectively. The patient with intracortical chondroma was a thirty one year old woman and had suffered right hip pain of 1 year duration. The lesion was located in the head of right femur and treated with CT guided percutaneous high frequency radioablation after needle biopsy under general anesthesia. The symptom was gone immediately after the procedure and was discharged postop. 1 day. 15 months has passed without symptom recurrence. Second case having enchondroma, was 56 year old woman complaining of gluteal area pain for 3 months. Radiologic evaluation showed osteolytic lesion with sclerotic rim on the inferior portion of the left femoral head. She received a same therapy with CT guided radiofrequency ablation following needle biopsy. She reported dramatic pain relief after the procedure and was discharged postop. 1 day. No symptom has occurred for 3 months until now. Conclusion: We present 2 cases of bone tumor occurred in the hip joint area other than osteoid osteoma which were treated with CT guided radiofrequency ablation.

  • Chondromyxoid fibroma occurring in the hand is a rare benign tumor. Radiologically and histologically, it should be differentiated from the other benign bone lesions in the hand, such as enchondroma, chondroblastoma, giant cell reparative granuloma and chondrosarcoma. This report is dealt with 59-year-old female and 19-year-old male patient presenting lesions on their digits anddescribed unusual clinical, radiological and pathological features.

  • The osteochondroma is the most common benign bone tumor, which occupies 40% of the benign bone tumor. About 80% of lesions arise in the long bone of the extremities, particularly in the knee and the upper extremity. But the occurrence of an intraarticular osteochondroma is rare, especially in the interphalangeal joint. We report the case of a intraarticular osteochondroma which occurred at the interphalangeal joint of the hand in a 12-year-old male patient. The plain X-ray demonstrates an exostosis arising from intraarticular dorsal aspect of the proximal phalanx of the right middle finger. The excised mass was round, measuring $8{\times}3$mm in size and 1 mm in thickness with definite cartilage capsule.

  • Osteochondroma is the most common benign tumor in bone, consist of 40%, but, rare in spine area occupying only 2%. We report a case of osteochondroma that was in the 5th and 6th spinous process of cervical spine. We performed en bloc excisional biopsy of the bony mass. And the patient is doing well without evidence of local recurrence at 1 year after surgery. Further follow-up is necessary to observe local recurrence.

  • Benign soft tissue mesenchymoma is a tumor composed of at least 2 mesenchymal elements, not ordinarily found together in a tumor. Very few cases are reported worldwide and even more, preponderance for cartilage in benign mesenchymoma is extremely rare. Up to our knowledge, total of 11 cases are reported to have cartilaginous rich benign soft tissue mesenchymoma. We are reporting a case of three-year-old male who developed benign soft tissue mesenchymoma rich in cartilaginous materials that occurred on the lower aspect of the back.

  • Enchondroma is a benign tumor mainly developed in the hand and uncommon in the foot. Even if it is in the foot, most are in the phalanges and distal metatarsals of the foot. Enchondroma in the calcaneus is very rare. A 44-year-old male suffered from left heel pain for several months, authors treated it with curettage and bone graft, it was histologically confirmed as an enchondroma in the calcaneus. The authors presented a rare case presentation of an enchondroma in the calcaneus with pain.

  • Giant cell reparative granuloma (GCRG) is an uncommon benign lesion that is most commonly found in the mandible and maxialla, and is a very rare condition in finger. We report an unusual case of GCRG arising in the index finger of a 21-year-old man. Histology was characteristic of giant cell reparative granuloma.
