This study was conducted in order to find out the tendency of sericultural woman's clothes. This data was based on random samples of 183 sericultural women throughout the country, and was derived from the investigation of c1othes (western and Korean-style) which had been made during the years, 1967∼1969. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Western-style clothes were about twice as popular as Korean-style, and more evident among the young women. It was also shown that the ratioes mentioned above were gradually decreased year by year. 2. Most popular among the western-style clothes were blouses, one-piece dresses and skirts. Jogori(coat) and Cheema(long skirt) were favorites among the Korean-styled clothes. One-piece dresses showed increasing tendency of use year by year. 3. Costume-made clothes were much more in number than the home-made and the ready-made types. The home-made and the ready-made clothes increased as the ages increased. 4. Western-styled clothes were popular in summer seasons while Korean-styled clothes were popular in the winter time. Among the western-styled clothes one-pieces dresses and two-piece suits were most popular during the spring through autumn. In Korean clothes the Cheema was popular all year round. 5. Western-style clothes were mostly made of polyester and their blends. Silk was the least used fabric. On the contrary, most of Korean-style clothes were made of silk and their blends. The synthetic fibers showed increasing use year by year. 6. Favorite colors were in order; white, blue, brown, and black in western-style clothes; white, blue, green, and gray were in Korean style clothes. Young women teaded to have a wider preference of colors than the older women.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of age, physical type and job on preference for color and fabric motifs in men's clothing design. Color preference measures consisted of clothing styles painted in CAD. Preference for fabric motifs was assesed by stripe fabrics in size, width and strength. All of the preference measures were devised specifically for this study. Furthermore, items on Hight and Weight for physical type, age and job of subjects were included I the questionnaire. Data were obtained by self-administered questionnaires form 243 men (25-54 years old) in Seoul. Analysis was by chi-square (X2), frequency, and percentage. The results obtained in this study were as follows : 1. Color preference was not affected by age and physical type, Job was related to coordinate color of men's clothing. 2. Preference for width of striped motifs was affected by age and job. 3. Preference for strength of fabric motifs in men's jacket was affected by physical type.

2월 19일 종로에 있는 제일은행 본점 1층 로비는 때 아닌 행사로 시끌벅적 했다. 색색의 풍선으로 장식된 무대와 가지런히 놓여진 의자들이 따사로운 아침 햇살에 유난히 더 깨끗하고 환하게 보였다. 단정한 양복에 사랑의 열매를 달거나, 와이셔츠 차림으로 2층, 3층 난간으로 얼굴을 내민 은행원들은 ‘무슨 일인가?’하는 표정으로 하나 둘 행사장 앞으로 모여들었다.

In this paper, I will propose a Custom-made Suit Production System. The system does not only help the customers to edit and measure their size by creating the landmarks in the 2D human body images which is taken from the camera, but it also visualizes the virtual cloth by using the landmarks and the modeling data of the virtual cloth. In this system is a new technology for the digital and the automation which is not handmade way of using Custom-made Suit industry. It will be generally useful in the various contents of the clothing industry.

영등포역에서 전철로 동대문까지 출퇴근을 하는 이모씨(35). 그에게 최근 새로운 출퇴근 취미하나가 생겼다. 영등포 역사 내 설치된 책자판기에서 책을 한권씩 구입해 출퇴근 시 독서하는 재미에 맛을 들인 것. 핸드북은 양복 안주머니에 쏙 들어가는 싸이즈로 휴대하기도 편할 뿐만 아니라 가격도 2000원으로 저렴하다. 또 분량이 많지 않아 집중해 읽다보면 하루에 한권을 다 읽는 경우도 있다. 이렇게 읽다보니 독서량이 상당해 졌다. 책자판기를 생각하면 은근히 하루가 기다려지는 이모씨. 내일은 과연 무슨 책이 구비되어 있을 까? 한 가지 바람이 있다면 좀더 다양한 콘텐츠의 도서들이 판매되었으면 하는 점이다.

This paper describes the processes conducted in the analysis and conservation of suit worn by Yu Rim (1898-1961). The suit consists of a jacket and pants and is a typical Mao-style suit for independence activists; it is notable in that it was made of domestic wool. Inside the jacket, there is a machine embroidery of the name "Danju," a label of synthetic resin which reads "Daegu citizen's tailor's shop," and buttons engraved with "PUSAN SIN-HUNG." According to our textile analysis, the outer layer is composed of worsted wool while the lining is made from acetate. Damage to the garment from malodor and insects has been repaired, and the suit has been restored to its original shape by a conservation treatment that has reinforced the textiles. This conservation case can provide valuable research data on the preservation of modern and contemporary clothing. In addition, this study also attempts to estimate the date of suit worn by Yu Rim's production by comparing it with woolen suits produced around the same time and examining the clues associated with the relics. This is significant since it enhances the value of the cultural assets and provides detailed information on the historical transformation of domestic suits.
