The Jahn-Teller effect caused by the electron-phonon interaction is explained with an example of an octahedral molecule. The physical meaning ot the Berry's phase is discussed. The Berry's phase which appears due to the dynamical Jahn-Teller effect is also discussed.

In this study, the failure modes by ballistic impacts were studied both for a neat Kevlar woven fabric and a Kevlar liquid armor impregnated with shear thickening fluid (STF) containing silica particles. These two materials showed quite different failure modes macroscopically in ballistic impacts tests used by Cal.22 FSP and 9mm FMJ bullet. Yarn pull-out for the neat Kevlar woven fabric and yarn fracture occurred partially through all plies from 1st ply to last one for the STF-Kevlar are an important energy absorption mechanisms. The results observed by S.E.M showed commonly fiber damage which are torn skin in the longitudinal fiber direction, fiber split axially and fiber fracture for two materials. The reasons why STF-kevlar liquid armor material exhibits excellent ballistic performance are as follow: firstly the increased friction forces between yarn-yarn and fabric-fabric covered with silica particles and secondary the evolution of shear thickening phenomenmon resulting in suppression of yarn mobility.

We investigate the electronic structure of perovskite PbTiO$_3$ and the microscopic origin of the ferroelectric lattice instability through first-principles pseudopotential calculations. We examine pseudo Jahn-Teller effect to discuss the lattice instability. The JT effect is caused by the hybridization of the p-orbitals of O atoms and d-orbital of Ti atom. We find the JT effect is most significant at Brillouin zone renter.

This Study analyzes the Eroticism in Jan Svankmajer's "Conspirators of Pleasure" which is Svankmajer's third feature film. the movie describes how six ordinary Prague people(: apartment-dwellers, a newscaster, a magazine vendor, and a postal delivery person) persue their own secret erotic fantasies. and Svankmajer self said this movie is actually a film about liberation, and about gaining a freedom. the poepose of this study is to find the meaning of liberation through investigate the erotic codes in "Conspirators of Pleasure" with Georges Bataille's Eroticism.
