The purpose of this paper was to analyze a social discourse on the construction of a domed stadium produced in the media. In particular, the article sought to explore and interpret the political, economical, social and cultural contexts of the building of a domed stadium by looking at how media sources with newspapers as the central source of information have produced and formed social discourses regarding the construction of a domed stadium. In a concluding perspective it was confirmed that the three aspects of social discourses have been produced and formed. First, a 'approval' discourse supporting the building of a domed stadium has been produced and formed. Second, a 'opposite' discourse criticizing it has been produced and formed. Third, in the confrontation between the approval and opposition of the building of a domed stadium, a 'governance' discourse, which the construction of a domed stadium should be solved rationally through the communication and involvement of the private and governmental sectors, has been produced.

관람석에서 바비큐를 먹으며 경기를 보거나 좀더 가까이 선수들을 볼 수 있는 야구장. 탁 트인 구장으로 경기장 밖에서도 선수들과 관중들을 보면서 함께 즐길 수 있는 야구장. 야구팬들이라면 누구나 미국 메이저리그 야구장에서만 볼 수 있는 풍경을 국내에서도 볼 수 있기를 꿈꾸었을 것이다. 최근 그 꿈이 실현됐다. 바로 지난 3월 19일 시범경기 개막전을 치른 '대구삼성라이온즈파크' 야구장이다. 미국 메이저리그 필라델피아 필리스의 홈구장인 '시티즌스뱅크파크'의 모양을 벤치마킹한 '대구삼성라이온즈파크' 야구장은 국내 최초로 팔각형으로 설계돼 넓은 관람공간과 탁 트인 시야가 특징이다. 지난 2012년 12월 첫 삽을 뜬 후 40여 개월 만에 총사업비 1,666억원을 투입해 지난 3월 완공되었다. '대구삼성라이온즈파크'는 야구 명문인 대구 경북의 자긍심과 함께 대구의 새로운 랜드마크로 자리매김하며 도시브랜드 향상과 더불어 시민들의 놀이, 휴식공간, 나아가 전국의 야구팬들이 찾고 싶은 관광 명소가 될 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다. 대구광역시 수성구 연호동에 위치한 대구삼성라이온즈파크는 (주)대우건설컨소시엄이 종합 시공을, (주)백산이엔씨가 냉 난방, 위생, 소방 등 기계설비를 시공했다. 본지는 준공 후 마무리 작업이 한창인 지난 3월 중순 대구삼성라이온즈 파크 현장에서 (주)대우건설 금현철 현장소장과 (주)백산이엔씨(대표 김주환) 김재화 현장소장을 만났다.

Purpose: Ballparks of KBO which were built by local governments and operated for baseball game-centered have been required more sustainable development according to going into low growth phase in Korea recently. MLB ballparks with the teams having 100 year old tradition have been sustainable-developed economically, socially, environmentally and culturally. This research is to study the characteristics of cultural sustainability in architectural design of 30 MLB parks. Method: To begin with comparison analysis of usage rate of 10 ballparks of KBO with 30 ballparks of MLB, and architectural designs of facades, fields, accommodations, sculptures, greens, roof gardens, etc. are analyzed in the MLB ballpark. And finally, the characteristics of cultural sustainability in the architectural design are analyzed. Result: MLB ballparks have played role as core-space of urban community, accumulated space of citizens' memory being originated in natural climatic feature of region, historical image of city and tradition of home-ballpark. A basis of these characteristics could is nature of cultural sustainability, that is to say local community, historical restoration, social solidarity.

프로야구경기의 승패 예측의 문제는 그리 쉬운 일이 아니다. 왜냐하면 경기에 영향을 미치는 요소가 무한하기 때문이다. 예를 들어, 경기당일의 선수들의 컨디션이나 사기, 경기당일의 날씨, 구장요건, 상대팀에 대한 심리적 요인등 사전에 경기영향을 미치는 요소가 무한하다. 본 연구실에서는 과거 경기기록 자료를 기반으로 유용한 규칙을 찾아내어 분류트리를 만들어 학습하는 ID3 알고리즘을 프로야구 승패예측 시스템 구성에 사용하여 보았으나, 이산적인 자료의 처리로 인해 연속적인 경기자료를 고려하지 못하는 문제로 예측율이 더이상 향상되지 않았다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 휴리스틱 방법을 이용한 경기전 예측과 경기중 예측을 이닝별 득점으로 세분화하여, 실제 경기상황을 고려한 일반적인 예측모형을 만들어 예측율을 향상시키고자 한다. 향후에는 더욱 세분화시켜 Case-based에 의한 예측을 하고자 한다.

Baseball attracts the largest audience among professional sports in Korea. In particular, attendance is the primary source of income in baseball. Previous studies have limitations in reflecting the characteristics of individual stadium. For instance, the KIA Tigers exhibit the highest away game revenue among domestic teams, but they show lower home game earnings. Therefore, we aim to predict the daily attendance at the Gwangju-KIA Champions Field of the KIA Tigers using deep learning. We collected and preprocessed daily attendance, dates, weather, and team-related variables for Gwangju-KIA Champions Field from 2018 to 2023. We propose a deep learning-based linear regression model to predict the daily attendance. We expect that the proposed deep learning model will be used as basic information to increase the club's revenue.

Professional baseball is one of the spectator sports that has been loved for a long time by the citizens as a recreational activity since its establishment in 1982, and has been playing pivotal role as a national sport. However, there has been decline in the number of audiences since 2019. Hence, this research paper aimed to provide strategic direction for planning and improvement of professional baseball stadiums by applying the concept of servicescape. In this research, five key factors of servicescape that affects players performance and the level of immersion of spectators were derived through literature review, and based on these key factors, case study analysis were carried out for 51 domestic and foreign baseball stadiums while focusing on the factors derived. Domestic baseball stadiums highly concentrate on spectatorship without effectively responding to change in spectators demand and its effective use of space rather than baseball games. As in foreign cases, it is critical to modify mangement process and planning direction, and improve policies while perceiving baseball stadium as recreational and cultural space.

Recently, the field of using data has begun to attract attention in professional sports. In the field of data utilization, in addition to the classic records obtained within the economy, secondary records that emphasize efficiency are also actively used. Therefore, in this study, we try to study the correlation with the pitcher's strikeout ability through the daily average humidity, which is data outside the competition. For this reason, referring to the daily average record of the area of the home base of 10 teams belonging to the KBO league and the auxiliary stadium, the top 5 in the win, hold, save section to grasp the characteristics of the starting pitcher and the rescue pitcher We analyzed K / 9 records for each person. Through the results of this study, we found a significant difference in the K / 9 record between the starting pitcher and the rescue pitcher, and we can expect to investigate the use of professional sports data and develop the industry in general.

In this paper, we used the Deep Neural Network (DNN) to predict the number of daily spectators of Gwangju - KIA Champions Field in order to provide marketing data for the team and related businesses and for managing the inventories of the facilities in the stadium. In this study, the DNN model, which is based on an artificial neural network (ANN), was used, and four kinds of DNN model were designed along with dropout and batch normalization model to prevent overfitting. Each of four models consists of 10 DNNs, and we added extra models with ensemble model. Each model was evaluated by Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The learning data from the model randomly selected 80% of the collected data from 2008 to 2017, and the other 20% were used as test data. With the result of 100 data selection, model configuration, and learning and prediction, we concluded that the predictive power of the DNN model with ensemble model is the best, and RMSE and MAPE are 15.17% and 14.34% higher, correspondingly, than the prediction value of the multiple linear regression model.
