The effect of Attributes of Exercise/Fitness Apps on App Usage: A Convergence Perspective Based on the Self-Determination Theory (운동/피트니스앱 속성이 앱 활용에 미치는 영향: 자기결정성 이론을 기반으로 한 융복합적 관점에서의 탐구)

  • The present study explored how 1) individuals' perception about attributes of exercise/fitness apps and 2) their motivation for exercise/fitness behaviors influence perceived usefulness and usage of the apps. A survey of 323 males and females in their 20's and 30's revealed that attributes of apps that satisfy their basic psychological needs are crucial in promoting perceived usefulness and usage of the apps. Participants were more likely to perceive exercise/fitness apps useful as they perceive them having more attributes related to autonomy and competence. The perception regarding relatedness attributes did not have the main effect on perceived usefulness but showed an interaction effect with relative autonomous motivation. This convergence study which examined health apps from the perspectives of psychology and public health provides practical implications to development and evaluation of health apps.

  • The convergence social app manufacturing platform for both demander and developer in worldwide provides a collective collaborative development approach. This platform can bring enhanced productivity with exchange of views among participants. If the assessment is not fair that many participants will leave the collective collaborative project. The previous studies verified the reliability of the evaluation based on statistical techniques. Because the previous studies did not consider the task performance of participants, do not reflect the feature of project tasks. So, the contribution scores of the participants can be distorted. In this study, we suggest the method for evaluating the development contributions value. This is considered the task performance of participants and involved the method of equitable and consistency peer assessment.

Development of Evaluation Indicators for the Usability Evaluation of Smart Home App Design (스마트 홈(Smart Home) 앱 디자인의 사용성 평가를 위한 평가지표 개발)

  • Currently, people are paying more attention to smart home businesses. Therefore, the research on smart home system is becoming important. Smart Home App, which is an important component of smart home system, needs to consider the development of evaluation indicators for usability. In this regard, this paper takes smart home App as the object to develop the usability evaluation indicators of smart home App design. For this purpose, this study performed three rounds of survey by using the Delphi method. In the first round, 8 suitable areas were selected by collecting opinions from experts and analyzing the Content Validity Ratio, which was derived from literature review. Based on the results of the first survey, a total of 38 evaluation items were collected through prior research and user interview surveys. For the 38 collected evaluation items, 27 evaluation items have been selected by analyzing Average Value, Standard Deviation, Content Validity Ratio, Consultation and Convergence in the second and third rounds. The result of this study can be used as a guideline when evaluating the usability of smart home App design.

  • 현재 리워드 앱은 스마트폰을 이용해 부가적인 혜택을 누릴 수 있는 인기 앱 서비스로 지속적인 성장과 함께 서비스의 범위가 확대되고 있어 사용성을 고려한 디자인의 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 리워드 앱 상위 4개를 사용자경험을 바탕으로 한 GUI디자인의 사용성 평가를 디자인전공자 30명의 설문으로 진행하였다. 리워드 앱 GUI구성요소에 따른 사용성 평가 결과는 5점 만점에 '캐시슬라이드' 3.97로 가장 높고, '허니스크린' 3.18, '넥슨플레이' 3.07, '라떼스크린'2.9 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구가 향 후 경쟁력있는 리워드 앱의 GUI요소 개발에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

Distribution of Mobile Apps Considering Cross-Platform Development Frameworks in Android Environment (안드로이드 환경에서 크로스 플랫폼 개발 프레임워크에 따른 모바일 앱 분포)

  • Using cross-platform development frameworks, mobile app developers can easily implement mobile apps for multiple platforms in one step. The frameworks also provides adversaries with the ability to write malicious code once, and then run it anywhere for other platforms. In this paper, we analyze the ratio of benign and malicious apps written by cross-platform development frameworks for Android apps collected from AndroZoo's site. The analysis results show that the percentage of benign apps written in the frameworks continues to increase, accounting for 45% of all benign apps in 2018. The percentage of malicious apps written in the frameworks accounted for 25% of all malicious apps in 2015, but that percentage has declined since then. This study provides useful information to make a suitable choice when app developers face several challenges in cross platform app development.

  • 앱 인벤터는 GUI 환경에서 블록 편집기를 사용하여 앱을 개발한다. 따라서 누구나 쉽게 앱 프로그래밍을 시작할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한, 앱 인벤터의 공식 사이트의 gallery 공간에 공개된 수많은 공개 앱 소스(aia 파일)를 쉽게 구할 수 있기 때문에 다른 사람이 만든 앱의 소스를 그대로 가져다가 이미지만 바꿔서 자신이 만든 것처럼 앱을 공개할 수도 있다. 그러나 직접 블록 단위로 비교해보지 않고서는 표절이나 도용 여부를 판단하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 앱 인벤터로 개발한 앱들의 유사도를 자동으로 계산해주는 도구를 개발하였다. 원본 프로그램과 도용된 프로그램은 유사도가 높게 계산될 것임을 예상할 수 있기 때문에 유사도 계산 프로그램은 코드 도용을 확인하는 목적으로 활용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서 구현한 도구의 평가를 위해서 다양한 실험을 수행하였고, 실제로 유사도가 높았던 앱들이 서로 공통된 블록을 다수 포함하고 있음을 밝혀내었다. 이러한 실험결과를 바탕으로 우리가 개발한 도구가 앱 인벤터로 개발한 앱에 대해서 소스 표절이나 코드 도용을 탐지하는 목적으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

A Study on the Effect of content and external elements purchase decision on the App (컨텐츠 정보와 외적인 요소가 앱 구매 결정에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • 스마트폰 시장이 급성장하면서, 앱스토어 시장도 급성장 하고 있다. 애플과 구글의 앱스토어는 각각 65 만개, 60 만개의 유효 앱 등록량을 돌파했으며, 다운로드 역시 300 억과 200 억 다운로드를 돌파하였다. 앱 사용자들은 어떤 이유로 수 많은 어플리케이션 중에서 특정 어플리케이션을 선택하고 다운받는지에 대한 연구는 많이 부족한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구는 컨텐츠 정보와 외적인 요인을 4가지 요소(앱의 정보, 외부 추천, 사용 평가, 사용 통계)로 분류하여 구매 결정에 영향을 미치는 요인을 찾고, 모바일 어플리케이션 스토어 시스템의 품질 개선과 추가로 국내에서 어플리케이션 스토어 시스템 구축을 진행하고 있는 사업자에게 실무적 도움을 제공할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

Performance Evaluation of App Profile-based Sensor Registry System considering User Mobility and Sensor Density (사용자 이동성과 센서 밀집도를 고려한 앱 프로파일 기반 센서 레지스트리 시스템의 성능 평가)

  • SRS was proposed for immediate processing of the meaning of sensor data on mobile devices independent from specific sensor networks and sensor type. However, each time new sensor data is received, sensor data inspection operations are performed repeatedly, and it cause resulting in low performance. App profile-based SRS has been proposed to resolve the problem. The app profile-based SRS has improved the SRS problem through the profile, but has been tested in a virtual simulation environment. After that the test was experimented in a real-time environment, but has not been tested with a variety of dynamic factors. Therefore, this paper experiment considering such as user mobility and sensor density in real-time environment. And this paper also evaluate performance of the App profile-based through analysis of the results of the experiment. As a result, app profile-based SRS is high influence by density and sensor type, and the number of sensor node is not influence.

A Study on Mobile Services Based on Smartphone Application in Academic Libraries (스마트폰 애플리케이션을 활용한 국내외 대학도서관의 모바일 서비스에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce the concepts of smartphone and app, to review the theoretical researches and the representative service examples in academic libraries' mobile services based on smartphone apps, and to propose the proper mobile services methods based on smartphone apps in academic libraries of Korea. The ways for mobile app services in academic libraries are like these: 1) Libraries need to prepare the hybrid service system based on the combination of mobile web and app for smartphone. 2) Libraries have the guidelines for choosing apps which are applied to library services. 3) Libraries develop the apps for library marketing and education services and make use of existed apps to their own services. 4) Smartphone application bibliography service(Appography service) needs to be developed and serviced as an academic library service field.

A Study of Factors Affecting Mobile Application Download (모바일 애플리케이션 다운로드에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Mobile applications are significantly impacting people's smart phone using behavior and mobile industry value chain. By examining sources of data on mobile applications use, this study presents evidence about what factors would affect the amount of apps download, which may be useful to guide app designers and publishers to develop more persuasive new apps and marketing strategies. The results indicated app ranking had effect on download amount of apps in both Android app market and Apple app store, while prices of apps had no impact on the amount of download. App type, developer experience, and locality had effect on the amount of download only for paid apps in Apple app store.
