본 연구는 마이크로소프트사가 개발한 ActiveX 콘트롤 기술을 이용하여 동적인 홈페이지를 제작하는 사례를 설계하고 구현 해 봄으로써 ActiveX 콘트롤의 사용가치와 이의 활용방안을 알아보고자 함에 있다. 이를 위해 첫째, 비주얼베이직과 자바를 이용한 웹프로그래밍 기술과 ActiveX 콤포넌트의 기능을 알아보고 둘째, 웹프로그래밍의 역사와 ActiveX프로그램과의 관련성과 현재 대두되고 있는 XML웹서비스기술과의 비교를 통하여 웹프로그래밍기술을 이해하고 셋째, ActiveX콘트롤 패드를 이용하여 실제로 동적홈페이지를 구성하는 사례를 설계하고 구현해 봄으로써 이의 활용가치를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과 자바 애플릿에 대응하는 기술로 마이크로소프트가 OLE기술을 확장하여 만든 ActiveX콘트롤은 프로그램의 재사용, 개발시간단축과 프로그램의 기능과 품질향상에 기여하여 인터넷 내지 인트라넷용 프로그램개발 등에 쉽게 이용될 수 있는 가능성을 보여 주었으나 플랫폼 독립적이지 못하고 윈도우에서만 사용 가능한 제한점을 보여주었다.

본 논문에서는 현재 웹의 주요한 기술로 부각되고 있는 액티브 서버페이지와 동적 웹 기술을 이용한 가상교육 시스템 구현에 대해서 다룬다. 이 시스템은 사용자로부터 프로그램 소스를 보호할 수 있고 또한 인터넷 서버에서 실행되는 액티브 서버 기술을 동적 웹 기술과 접목하여 사용자를 인지, 구별하고 사용자의 정보에 적합한 웹 페이지를 구성할 수 있다. 또한 가상교육시스템은 학년, 학과, 수강신청 정보에 따라서 적합한 사용자 환경을 구성하여 주고 수업진도에 따라 교안 및 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 이렇게 구성함으로써 시스템의 접속 사용자에 관련된 적합한 정보를 제공하여 사용자가 원하는 교육서비스를 받을 수 있게 한다.Abstract In this paper, we present our implementation of cyber education system using Dynamic Web and Active Server Pages, key technologies of the current web. This system is composed of web pages fitted to user information, which is collected and differentiated by both Active Server Technology running at server and protecting program source and Dynamic Web Technology. This system provides information and teaching content according to the progress of a course and user environments based on information such as a school year, a department and credit request information. Therefore login users can receive education services by providing adequate information related to them.

본 논문에서는 컴포넌트 기술을 기반으로 한 인터액티브 멀티미디어 웹보드 시스템을 설계, 구현하고 있다. 이 시스템은 문서를 게시하고 파일을 첨부하는, 일반적인 웹 기반의 게시판을 확장한 것으로, 이러한 기본적 기능 외에 사용자로 하여금 동영상, 음성, 정지영상을 캡쳐하여 전송할 수 있도록 하는 기능을 제공한다. 이와 같은 작업은 ActiveX 컨트롤이 임베드된 웹 페이지 상에서 이루어지므로, 사용자에게는 브라우저 외의 별도의 프로그램이 요구되지 않는다. 이 시스템을 구성하는 주요한 기술적 요소에는 컴포넌트 기술, 웹 데이터베이스 기술 등이 있다. 컴포넌트 기술을 통해 자체적인 인터페이스를 가진 동영상 정지영상, 음성 캡쳐기능의 ActiveX 컨트롤을 구현하였고, MS SQL Server와 ASP를 이용한 웹 데이터베이스 기술을 통해 인터액티브한 인터페이스를 제공하였다.

본 연구에서는 요즘 관심이 고조되고 있는 교수법 학습을 위한 웹-기반 학습시스템을 설계하고 구현하고자 한다. 웹-기반 학습시스템이란 시공간의 제약없이 웹에서의 교수-학습을 효율적이고 체계적으로 지원해주는 시스템을 의미한다. 이 시스템은 액티브 서버 페이지와 동적 웹 기술을 이용하여 학습자의 흥미를 유발시켜 자기 주도적인 학습을 유도하고, My Desk, 과제함, 토론방, 예약 면담시스템의 커뮤니티 등의 서비스를 제공하여 학습자와 교수자, 학습자와 학습자 사이의 상호작용을 지원한다.

ASP는 동적인 대화형 웹 서버 응용 프로그램을 작성하고 실행하기 위해 사용할 수 있는 '서버 측 스크립트' 환경이다. ASP를 사용하면 HTML 페이지와 스크립트 명령 및 ActiveX 구성요소를 조합하여 대화형 웹 페이지나 강력한 웹 기반의 응용 프로그램을 만들 수 있다. 사용자가 HTML에 익숙한 사람이라면 ASP 스크립트가 동적인 페이지의 작성을 위한 좋은 방법임을 알 수 있을 것이다. 또한 HTML 파일 작성에 필요한 자바 스크립트나 비쥬얼 베이직 스크립트는 물론이고 그 외 HTML 파일의 내용을 요구에 맞게 배치하기 위해 사용하는 CSS1의 기본적인 내용 정도는 알고 있어야 한다고 본다. 뿐만 아니라 CGI 프로그래밍과 웹 서버와 클라이언트의 상호 작용 관계, 그리고 웹 서버 관리하는 방법 등의 내용을 완벽하게 갖추고 있다고는 생각하지는 않는다. 하지만 앞으로 진행해 나가면서 직접 설명을 하지는 않겠지만 이와 같은 기술들이 모두 사용이 될 것이고, ASP는 다른 웹 애플리케이션 언어보다 쉽고, 웹에서의 많은 응용과, 무한한 가능성을 내포하고 있다는 것을 말하고 싶다. 그러므로 ASP에 접근하는 방법에 있어서 운영하는 방법을 연구하였다.

Since the world wide web, simple and convenient tool, has proposed, the Internet became the most simple network resource which provide many informations of the world. Furthermore, various methodologies are developed to support the dynamic service such as 3D View web service. We will propose the volume rendering view program that interactively visualize the 3D data on the web. The 3D Data is obtained by stacking the 2D images along the z-direction. We also employ the COM based OCX control which is a kind of Active component. This web program will contribute the diagnosis of the diseases through the 3D visualization and image analysis functions at remote places.

Clickers that are personal response systems are a technology used to promote active learning and most research on the benefits of using clickers has shown that students become engaged and enjoy using them. But, existing clickers consisting of hardware devices and aggregation software provide simple response and aggregation function and it costs a lot. In this paper, in order to resolve the limitation of the existing clickers, we've designed and implemented the Smart Clicker consisting of a smartphone application for students and a web application & a MFC program for professors. Students can answer professor's questions with O/X or numbers or text and even ask questions with text messaging by using Smart Clicker in the classroom. Professors can see students' answers or questions immediately and check up students' response participation rate on the web page. Besides, the Smart Clicker will help professors actively engage students during the entire class period and gauge their level of understanding of the material being presented, and provide prompt feedback to student questions. As a result, we expect that quality of education will be increased.

In this research, for the smooth cultural life of seniors, we recruit 92 smart seniors (male: 22, female: 70) and survey their preferred content sub-genre. The survey is mainly based on the two devices (PC, Smartphone) to be used. As a result of the study, there was a little difference in preference on the web pages between both devices, the video contents showed the similar preference, regardless of the device. Also, sub-genres surveyed show higher correlations with similar sub-genres in other content genres. So, If the result of this study is reflected in the development of cultural contents and the composition of content pages, it will be helpful for senior to enjoy the improved cultural life by lowering entry barriers accessing digital media contents.

This paper reports the GEM (Gateway to Educational Materials) project whose goal is to develop an operational framework to provide the K-12 teachers in the world with 'one-stop/any-stop' access to thousands of lesson plans, curriculum units and other Internet-based educational resources. To the IS-element Dublin Core base package, the GEM project added an 8-element, domain-specific GEM package. The GEM project employed the conceptual data modeling approach to designing the GEM database, used the Sybase relational database management system (RDBMS) to construct the backend database for storing the metadata of educational resources, and also employed the active server page (ASP) technology to provide Web interfaces to that database. The consortium members catalog lesson plans and other Internet-based educational resources using a cataloging module program that produces HTML meta tags. A harvest program collects these meta tags across the Internet and outputs an ASCII file that conforms to the standard agreed by the consortium members. A parser program processes this file to enter meta tags automatically into appropriate relational tables in the Sybase database. The conceptual/logical schemas of Dublin Core and GEM profile are presented. The advantages of conceptual modeling approach to manage metadata are discussed. A prototype system that provides access to the GEM metadata is available at http://lis.skku.ac.kr/gem/.
