Material Properties Evaluation of Cement Mortar Mixed with Organic/Inorganic Combined Water-repellent (유/무기 복합 발수제를 혼입한 모르타르의 재료특성 평가)

  • When the concrete surface layer is damaged, The method of impregnating the concrete surface with a water repellent cannot secure the expected durability. Recently, various waterproofing and water-repellent materials were mixed into concrete or mortar to secure water repellency even inside cracks, but compressive strength was greatly reduced. In order to overcome the decrease in compressive strength, there has not yet been a study using the merits of organic and inorganic materials at the same time, so in this study, the physical properties and water repellency performance were evaluated by mixing an organic/inorganic composite water repellent appropriately mixed with an organic and inorganic material into the mortar. When mixed with organic/inorganic water repellent, the flow and air content were reduced by about 10% and 50% compared to the Liquid specimen. In the case of the P6L1 specimen, it was confirmed that the compressive strength decreased by about 3.5% compared to the non-mixed mortar at 39.5 MPa, the same as the existing water repellent, Powder. Water-repellent performance The organic-inorganic composite water repellent mixture specimen confirmed higher water repellency than the existing water repellent mixture powder, and the chloride penetration resistance evaluation result showed that the organic-inorganic composite water repellent mixture specimen reduced the passing charge by about 45% compared to the non-mixed mortar. In summary, it is judged that the P5L1 organic/inorganic composite water repellent mixed with a powder water repellent and a liquid water repellent in a ratio of 5:1 is the most reasonable to prevent the decrease in compressive strength and secure water repellency.

  • 폐기물의 감량화 및 자원화 기술 중 가장 대표적인 기술로 폐기물의 가스화 용융 기술을 들 수 있다. 폐기물 가스화 용융 기술은 폐기물 내의 탄소 및 수소 성분은 가스화 하여 CO, $H_2$가 주성분인 합성가스(synthesis gas, syngas)로 전환하고, 불연물은 용융하여 환경적으로 무해한 슬래그 또는 금속으로 회수하는 기술이다. 본 연구에서는 고발열량폐기물과 탈수슬러지 혼합가스화를 통하여 생산된 합성가스를 합성가스 압축기를 통하여 유용한 원료물질을 제조하는 공정인 수성가스 전환 반응(water gas shift reaction)과 가스화 반응기의 보조연료로 투입하기 위한 합성가스 압축, 이송 시스템의 운전 특성을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 고발열량폐기물과 탈수슬러지 혼합가스화에서 합성가스는 안정적으로 발생하였으며, 합성가스 압축, 이송시스템을 위한 정제설비에서의 분진제거는 99.07 %의 효율을 얻었고, 또한 합성가스 재순환 장치의 성능시험을 통하여 대기 중의 산소가 유입이 안 되는 기밀성을 확인하였다. 합성가스 압축, 이송 공급 유량 제어 실험 결과로는 합성가스 압축기 기동 시 합성가스 압축압력과 공급유량은 비례적으로 증감하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

A Study on the Influence of S Shaped Annular Duct on the Centrifugal Compressor Performance (S자형 환형덕트가 원심압축기 성능에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • In twin spool aero-engine, there may be a S shaped annular duct between high pressure and low pressure spools. The flow passing this S shaped duct experiences the flow acceleration and deceleration due to the convex and concave surface of the duct as well as the increase of blockage according to the boundary layer growth along the surfaces. So, the high pressure compressor which is located behind the S shaped duct is influenced by the non-uniform flow field generated by the geometry of inlet duct. To study the influence of the S shaped duct on the centrifugal stage, performance tests were implemented for the compressor with straight cylindrical inlet duct and with S shaped inlet duct, respectively. The test results showed that the performance, such as pressure ratio and efficiency, of the compressor with S shaped duct was worse than that of the compressor with cylindrical duct. And the compressor with S shaped duct had reduced maximum flow rate around design speed. To investigate the cause of performance degradation, flow anlaysis was performed for the impeller in front of which is located S shaped annular duct. The result of CFD showed the strong acceleration of the flow in the axial direction around the inducer tip region which caused the increase of relative mach number and the decrease of incidence angle of the flow.

Compressive Deformation Characteristics of Logging Residues by Tree Species (수종별 벌채부산물의 압축 변형 특성)

  • The aim of this study was to provide the basic design parameters for developing logging residue compression machines by investigating compressive deformation characteristics of different types of logging residues. To achieve these objectives, Pinus rigida, Pinus koraensis and Quercus mongolica were selected as specimens, and compression-deformation tests by UTM(universial testing machine) were conducted. The experimental dataset were used to set up the model based on the compression-deformation ratio in the form of exponential function. The results showed that stress coefficient in terms of mechanical properties of logging residues was decreased, whereas strain coefficient tended to be increased as the number of compression increased at target density of $350kg/m^3$ and $400kg/m^3$. The model presented that the required stress was decreased as the number of compression increased, and the stress growth rate was swelled compared to the change of the deformation rate. Therefore, it showed that proper initial compression force was a significant variable in order to achieve the target density of logging residue.

Separate Type Rotary Engine Cycle Analysis (분리형 로터리엔진 사이클 해석)

  • A separate type rotary engine consisting of a compressor and an expander is under development. The engine motoring, compressor pressure, and fuel combustion have been tested with the initial prototype for operability checks of the mechanism. This paper describes an engine cycle analysis method designed specifically for this new-concept engine. The unique operational mechanism of the engine and the thermodynamic properties of each step of air intake, compression, filling of combustion chamber, combustion, expansion and exhaust were analyzed. The cycle efficiencies of this engine according to various engine design parameters as well as the cooling effect of compressed air between the compressor and expander can be easily calculated with this method; further, some case studies are presented in this paper.

  • 건설 현장에서 널리 사용되고 있는 그라운드 앵커의 거동 특성을 연구하기 위하여 계측기를 부착한 일곱 개의 그라운드 앵커를 국내에 널리 분포되어 있는 화강 풍화토 지반인 $\bigcirc$$\bigcirc$$\bigcirc$대학교 지반 시험장에 설치하여 인발 시험을 수행하였다. 저압 그라우트 인장형 앵커 3개와 압축형 앵커 4개를 시험하였고, 시험은 AASHTO 규정에 의거한 인발시험, 크리프시험, 장기거동시험을 수행하였다. 시험 결과로부터 화강 풍화토 지반에 설치된 저압그라우트 직선형 앵커의 지반과의 마찰계수, 크리프 변형율, 하중감소 특성을 평가하였다.

Parametric Study for the Optimal Integration Design between the Gas Turbine Compressor and the Air Separation Unit of IGCC Power Plant (석탄가스화 복합발전플랜트 가스터빈 압축기와 공기분리장치 간의 최적 연계설계를 위한 매개변수연구)

  • Parametric studies are conducted for optimizing the integration design between gas turbine compressor and air separation unit (ASU) of integrated gasification combined cycle power plant. The present study adopts the ASU of double-distillation column process, from which integration conditions with compressor such as the heat exchanger condition between air and nitrogen, the amount and the pressure of extracted air are defined and mathematically formulated. The performance variations of the compressor integrated with ASU are analyzed by combining streamline curvature method and pressure loss models, and the predicted results are compared with the performance test results of actual compressors to verify the prediction accuracy. Using the present performance prediction method, the effects of pinch-point temperature difference (PTD) in the heat exchanger, the amount and the pressure of extracted air on compressor performances are quantitatively examined. As the extraction air amount or the PTD is increased, the pressure ratio and the power consumption of compressor are increased. The compressor efficiency deteriorates as the increase of the flow rate of air extracted at higher pressure level while improving at lower pressure air extraction. Furthermore, through the characteristic curve between generalized inlet condition and efficiency of compressor, optimal integration condition is presented to maximize the compressor efficiency.
