Pressure Vessel Codes (壓力容器技術基準의 解說)

  • 여기서 상기 ASME Code에 대하여 간단히 설명하기로 한다. ASME Code 는 첫부분에서 ASME Code의 적용을 받아야 하는 압력용기를 정의하고, 압력용기의 건설에 관한 일반원칙을 설명한후 그 다음에는 세개의 Subsection으로 나뉘어져 있다. 즉 Subsection A General Requirements Subsection B Requirements Pertaining to Methods of Fabrication of Pressure Vessels Subsection C Requirements Pertaining to Classes of Material 여기서 Subsection A는 압력용기 재료나 제작방법의 상위와 관계없이 적용하여야 할 일반적인 요구사항을 규정한 것이며, Subsedction B에서는 압력용기의 제작방법을 용접,리벳팅,단조,경납 땜의 4가지로 나누어 각 제작방법에 따른 특수 요구사항을 규정하였고, 마지막으로 Subsection C 는 재료에 따른 특수 요구사항을 규정한 것이다. 이 각 Subsection은 다시 General, Materials, Design, Fabrication, Inspection and Tests, Stamping and Reports, Pressure Relief Devices로 나누어 이에 대한 각각의 요구사항들을 설명하고 있다. 그러나 이 기술기준에서는 제정방향으로, 다음의 목차에서도 알 수 있는 바와 같이 이들의 순서를 바꾸어 총칙,재료,설계,제작, 검사 및 시험, 압력릴리프장치를 배치한 후 이미 KS B 6231에 제정되어 있는 것은 그 규정을 대부분 그 대로 인용하였고, 그렇지않은 것은 우리의 실정을 참작하여 삭제, 보완, 수정하였다. 삭제한 내용 중 대표적인 것으로 공인검사관(Authorized Inspector) 및 Stamping and Reports 에는 9개의 Mandatory Appendix 와 16개의 Nonmandatory Appendix가 있는데, 이둘 중 이 기술기준에서 필요하다고 생각되는 것은 발췌 수록하였다. 단위에 대해서는 국가시책에 따라 메트릭 시스템을 사용하였고 단위의 환산에서 야기되는 소수점등의 처리는 공학적인 판단에 의거하였다.

  • The response times of monopropellant thrusters at a pulse mode were investigated experimentally as design parameters and feed pressure conditions. Five different model thrusters as injection direction/uniformity, aspect ratio of reactor, volumes of manifold and chamber were designed. As a results, two parameters, aspect ratio and manifold volume, were directly related to response characteristics. Additionally, chugging instability at reaction chamber was observed when pressure drop across the catalyst bed was increased due to high aspect ratio or when low pressure was built at reaction chamber.

  • 동맥의 일부분의 팽창하는 동맥류는 높은 사망률을 야기하는 혈관계 질환이다. 동맥류의 발생 및 파열에는 동맥류 내부의 혈류의 유동에 의한 혈관벽 전단 응력 및 압력이 주용한 원인 중 하나로 의심되고 있다. 복부대동맥류 내부의 혈류 유동 특성을 밝히기 위해서 동맥류의 최대 확장부가 복부동맥의 1.5배, 2배인 유리 모델을 제작하였다. 정상류 상태에서 다양한 레이놀즈수에 대해서 속도 및 난동도를 입자영상속도계를 이용하여 측정하였다. 경계층 박리로 인한 재순환 부분이 끝나는 재부착점은 동맥류 최대 확장부 후부에서 발생하였으며, 이 위치는 레이놀즈수의 변화에 따라 바뀌었다. 축방향 속도의 난동은 최대 확장부 후부에서 크게 나타났으며, 이 위치에서 난동에 의한 부가적 응력이 크며 혈관벽 구조변화가 발생하리라 예측된다. 동맥류 내부의 압력분포는 수치해석에 의해 계산되었다. 동맥류 내부 압력은 크기가 증가함에 따라 커졌으며 압력은 동맥류 최대 확장부 후부에서 발생하는 재부착점에서 최대값을 나타내었다. 동맥류 최대확장부 후부는 압력이 최대값을 가지며, 전단력의 변화 및 난동이 큰 지역이므로 동맥류의 파열이 발생하기 쉬운 지역으로 예측된다.

A Study on the Characteristics of the Radio-Frequency Induction Discharge Plasma (고주파 유도방전 플라즈마 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Electron temperature and electron density were rreasured in a radio-frequency inductively coupled plasma (RFICP) using a Langmuir probe method. Measurerrent was conducted in an argon discharge for pressures from 10 mTorr to 40 mTorr and input rf rnwer from 100 W to 600 W. Spatial distribution electroo temperature and electron density were rreasured for discharge with satre aspect ratio (R/L=2). Electron temperature and electron density were discovered depending on both pressure and power. Electron density was increased with iocreasing input power, but saturated at 450 W. Electron density was iocreased with iocreasing pressure. Radial distribution of the electron density was peaked at the rnsition which was a little rmved from center toward quartz window. Normal distribution of the electron density was peaked in the center between quartz plate and substrate. The above results could contribute to understand the Mechanism of Radio-Frequency Inductively Discharge Plasma.Plasma.

  • By way of driving a 2-way on/off solenoid hydraulic valve with a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal, control of the pressure in a certain volume is frequently used in various applications. However, the pressure built-up according to the duty ratio and carrier frequency of the PWM signal is not so well understood. In order to clarify the characteristics of 2-way valve hydraulic pressure control systems, in this paper two formula fur the mean and ripple of the load pressure were derived through theoretical analysis. And the accuracy of the derived formula were verified by comparison with the experimental test result. Generally 2-way valve systems are constructed as a bleed-off circuit, while 3-way valves are used as a control element in a meter-in circuit pressure control system. In a bleed-off circuit, the system supply pressure from a hydraulic power pack does not remain constant, but changes according to their external load. In turn, the relief valve in the hydraulic power pack reacts accordingly showing complicated dynamic behavior, which makes an analytical study difficult. In order to resolve the problem, simple but accurate empirical dynamic models fer a bleed-off system were used in the course of formula derivation. As the result, selection criteria for two major control parameters of the driving signal is established and the basic strategy to suppress the unnecessary pressure fluctuation can be provided for a hydraulic pressure control system using a 2-way on/off solenoid valve.

The effect of eccentricity between gear and housing in involute gear pump (인벌류트 기어펌프의 기어 편심에 따른 유동특성)

  • The characteristics of involute gear pump with eccentric gap between gear tip and housing have been studied in terms of volumetric flow rate and/or flow efficiency. The analysis has been done with FLUENT/R-13 employing with k-e model for the turbulent flow under the given conditions of rotational velocity, gap distance and outlet pressure. The effect of parameters continues to be shown for the eccentric gear as same as for the concentric gear such that the volumetric flow rate (volumetric efficiency) increases as the increases of rotational velocity and decrease of gap distance and of outlet pressure. In the meantime, the shape of pressure build-up appears to be exponentially increase as gap distance decreases at upstream position. The pressure is rapidly developing in the upstream and remains almost constant thereafter in the downstream of circumferential flow path. This typical characteristics becomes more profound as eccentricity increases. The pump performance for the eccentric gear pump with minimum gap distance shows better than its concentric counterpart. However, it shows not for the concentric pump with minimum gap distance. Therefore, the gap reduction due to eccentricity may be positive for pump performance.

A Study on the High Quality and Low Cost Fabrication Technology of ZnO Thin Films for Solar Cell Applications (태양전지 응용을 위한 고품위 및 저가격 ZnO 박막 제조에 관한 연구)

  • Aluminum doped zinc oxide (AZO) films have been prepared on Coming 7059 glass substrates by r.f. magnetron sputtering method. A powder target instead of a conventional sintered ceramic target was used in order to improve the utilization efficiency of the target and reduce the cost of the film deposition process. The influence of sputter pressure on the structural, electrical, and optical properties of AZO films were studied. The AZO films had hexagonal wurtzite structure with a preferred c-axis orientation, regardless of sputter pressure and target types. The crystallinity and degree of orientation was increased by increasing the sputter pressure. For higher sputtering pressures, a reduction of the resistivity was observed due to a increase on the mobility and the carrier concentration. The lowest resistivity of $6.5{\times}10^{-3}\;{\Omega}-cm$ and the average transmittance of 80% can be obtained for films deposited at 15 mTorr.

Strength Safety Evaluation of Composite Pressure Container for Hydrogen Fuel Tanks (수소연료탱크용 복합소재 압력용기에 관한 강도안전성 평가연구)

  • This paper presents a strength safety evaluation of composite pressure container for hydrogen fuel tanks with a storage capacity of 104 liter and 70MPa pressure. The carbon fiber composite container is manufactured by an aluminum liner of Al6061-T6 and composite multi-layers of hoop winding layer in circumferential direction, $12^{\circ}C$ inclined winding layer and $70^{\circ}C$winding layer in helical direction respectively. The FEM results on the strength safety of composite fuel tanks were evaluated with a criterion of design safety of US DOT-CFFC and KS B ISO 11119-2 codes. The FEM computed results indicate that the proposed design model of 104 liter composite container is safe based on two strength safety codes. But, the computed results of carbon fiber fuel tanks based on US DOT-CFFC code is safer compared with that of KS B ISO 11119-2. Thus the hydrogen gas pressure container of 70MPa may be evaluated and designed by US DOT-CFFC code for more strength safety.

옥천변성대 서남부지역 변성퇴적암

  • 옥천변성대 서남부지역은 변성이질암의 광물조합을 기준으로 남동부부터 북서방향으로 흑운모대, 석류석대, 십자석대의 3개의 변성광물분대로 나누어진다. Oh et al. (1995a)의 연구에서 보고된 남정석들은 산출되지 않는 것이 확인되었고 변성도는 흑운모대에서 석류석대를 거쳐 십자석대로 갈수록 증가한다. 쥬라기 화강암 접촉부의 국부적인 변성암류에서는 화강암에 의한 접촉변성작용에 의해 형성된 홍주석과 규선석이 산출된다. 흑운모대의 변성 압력-온도는 4.2 - 5.1 kb, 400 - 500 $^{\circ}C$이다. 십자석대의 정누대구조를 가지는 석류석과 석류석안의 사장석, 흑운모, 금흥석, 일메나이트포유광물의 공생관계로 추정한 압력-온도 (석류석 주변부: 7.0 - 8.0 kb, 550 - 620 $^{\circ}C$; 석류석 중심부: 4.0 - 5.0 kb, 420 - 520 $^{\circ}C$) 및 십자석대 내에서 후퇴변성작용 및 접촉변성작용 받은 석류석 주변부에 기록된 압력-온도 조건(약 2.0 - 3.0kb, 450 - 55$0^{\circ}C$)과 함께 옥천변성대 서남부지역의 변성암류가 시계방향의 압력-온도 경로를 겪었음을 지시한다. 연구지역 내에서 정밀 기재된 단면들에 대한 퇴적환경을 종합하면 대체 적으로 남동부에서는 천해성 환경이 인지되나 북서쪽으로 갈수록 대륙사면을 거쳐 분지 중심의 환경으로 전이되는 경향을 보인다. 이러한 퇴적상의 공간적 분포는 분지의 남동쪽보다 북서쪽의 침강이 우세하였던 것으로 해석될 수 있으며, 이는 곧 분지가 형성될 때 반지구대 (half graben) 형태로 분지가 열개 (rifting) 되었음을 의미한다. 각 변성분대에서 채취한 변성이질암으로부터 측정된 K-Ar 과 40Ar/39Ar 흑운모와 백운모 연대들은 149 - 167 Ma에 집중된다. 그리고 각 변성분대에서 동일시료에 대한 K-Ar 과 40Ar/39Ar 연대들은 동일시기를 지시함으로 연대적인 신뢰성을 확인 할 수 있었다. 옥천변성대 서남부지역의 변성암류를 관입하는 2개의 괴상의 화강암과 1개의 엽리화강암에서 얻어진 백운모와 흑운모들의 K-Ar 연대는 모두 156 Ma이며 옥천변성대 서남부지역의 변성이 질암의 연대와 유사하다. 이는 연구지역의 변성암류와 화강암류는 40Ar/39Ar 과 K-Ar 계의 흑운모와 백운모의 폐쇄온도 (약 300 - 350 $^{\circ}C$) 까지 동시에 냉각된 사실을 지시한다. 각섬석 편암내의 각섬석들은 복잡한 40Ar/39Ar 연대를 보여주며 일부가 평형연대를 보여주지만 특별한 의미 부여가 힘들다.

Derivations of Positive Pressure Condition for Development of Foldable Safe Pathway in Railway Tunnel Fires (철도터널화재용 접이식 대피통로 개발을 위한 양압 조건 도출)

  • The Korea Foldable safe pathway system is an evacuation support system to get temporary evacuation route in railway tunnel and large space fires. A prevention smoke screen is unfolded in fires and it is needed to prevent heat and smoke from fire source. Therefore, ventilation system for positive pressure condition is equipped with foldable safe pathway system. Numerical analyses of temperature and pressure distribution with distance from fire source were performed considering fire scenario of new train vehicle. The smoke temperatures did not exceed $200^{\circ}C$ that distance from the fire source was more than 20 m and smoke pressure was reduced with distance from fire source. Maximum smoke pressure was 14 Pa and average pressure was 6 Pa in position of prevention smoke screen. As results, to install foldable safe pathway system, ventilation system is need to maintain 6 Pa positive pressure condition.
