MWPECVD법에 의한 다이아몬드의 고속성장 (High Growth of Diamond Films by MWPECVD)

  • MWPECVD법으로 CH3CHO-H2 계와 CH4-H2-O2 계로부터 Si 기판 위에 다이아몬드박막을 성장 시키고 성장된 박막을 SEM XRD 및 Raman 분광기로 평가하고 박막과 입자의 성장률을 조사하였다. 마이크로 판전력 950W 반응관압력 80torr 수소유량 200sccm 기판온도 95$0^{\circ}C$ 및 CH3CHO농도 3.5%로 5시간 성장시킨 다이아몬드의 박막성장율은 $4mu$m/hr가 되어고 12%$960^{\circ}C$로 Si기판 위에 5시간 성장시킨 다이아몬드의 박막성장율은 3.2$\mu$m/hr가 되었다.

  • Internal defects of thin pressure vessel used in the power plants or the chemical plants may be created and grow due to corrosion or creep fatigue to reduce the strength and cause critical failure during operation. Therefore it is very important to detect this defect at the early stage. For this purpose, non-destructive, non-contact and highly sensitive method should be considered for on-line application. In this paper, a laser shearographic interferometer is applied to inspect circular defects and notch defects existed inside of thin pressure vessel under the presence of pressure up to 3 times of atmospheric pressure. The influences of the defect shape and size as well as the internal pressure to the characteristic pattern in the shearography fringe are investigated, and the quantitative evaluation of the defect size is tried. Also the experimental results are compared with the destructive test results to show the applicability of this method to the quantitative evaluation of internal defects in the thin pressure vessel.

  • 분진의 입경과 농도의 변화에 의한 분진의 폭발압력과 압력상승속도 및 그에 따른 분진폭발지수(Kst), 최소점화에너지(MIE) 및 폭발범위 등 분진폭발에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 폭발 메커니즘의 이해와 이를 통한 예방을 위해서는 분진폭발의 폭발효율과 열방출률(Heat Release Rate)에 관한 연구도 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 산소소모열량계를 이용하여 분진폭발 전후의 열방출률의 차이를 통하여 폭발효율과 폭발의 에너지를 정량화하고, 이를 통해 분진폭발 위험도의 정량적 평가기준을 제시하였다.

  • Austenitic Stainless Steels (ASSs) are widely used as structural materials in the pressurized water reactors (PWRs) because of their superior mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. However, it is well known that ASSs are susceptible to the environmental assisted cracking (EAC) such as environmental assisted fatigue (EAF) during the long term operation. There have been extensive tests and researches to understand the extent and the mechanisms of environmental effects. In this paper, the world-wide EAF test results of ASSs are introduced including those of Korean test programs. The suggested EAF mechanisms of ASSs are also discussed. Finally, the areas of further research to resolve the issue of EAF are suggested.

  • Significant real fluid behaviors including rapid property changes take place where high pressure combustion devices such as rocket engines. The flamelet model is the reliable approach to account for the real fluid effects. In the present study, the flamelet equations are extended to treat the general fluids over transcritical and supercritical states. The real fluid flamelet model is carried out for the gaseous hydrogen and cryogenic liquid oxygen flames at the wide range of thermodynamic conditions. Based on numerical results, the precise discussions are made for effects of real fluid, pressure, and differential diffusion on the local flame structure.

  • This study has been mainly motivated to numerically model the transcritical mixing and reacting flow processes encountered in the liquid propellant rocket engines. In the present approach, turbulence is represented by the extended k-$\varepsilon$ turbulence model. To account for the real fluid effects, the propellant mixture properties are calculated by using SRK (Souve-Redlich-Kwong) equation of state model. In order to realistically represent the turbulence-chemistry interaction in the turbulent non-premixed flames, the flamelet approach based on the real fluid flamelet library has been adopted. Based on numerical results, the detailed discussions are made for the real fluid effects and the precise structure of the transcritical cryogenic liquid nitrogen jet and gaseous hydrogen/liquid oxygen coaxial jet flame.

  • 액체 추진제 안의 헬륨과 얼리지 안의 헬륨에 질량보존법칙을 적용하여 추진제 탱크의 평형압력을 구하는 간단하고 직관적인 방법을 제안하고, 이를 이용하여 추진제 충전 해석 프로그램을 개발하였고 기존의 참고자료와 비교하여, 검증하였다. 또한 개발된 프로그램을 현재 개발 중인 통신해양기상위성의 자료와 비교하였고, 다음 정지궤도 복합위성의 추진계 기술개발에 사용하고자 한다.

주조 오스테나이트 스테인리스강 상경계 균열부 산화물 분석 (Analysis of Oxide Layers in Phase Boundary Crack of Cast Austenitic Stainless Steel)

  • For the phase boundary crack found in the gasket made of cast austenitic stainless steel in the nuclear power plant, the oxide layers were analyzed through SEM and TEM. The results showed that cracks initiated and propagated along the austenite/δ-ferrite phase boundary, the propagation path was changed to penetrate the inside of the phase. The oxide layer located at the periphery of the crack along the phase boundary was identified as a complex multi-layered spinel structure, and Cr-rich carbides were also detected in the oxide. The cracks that propagated inside the austenite matrix were attributed to the presence of high external stresses and impurities.

  • The traditional mechanical manometer is improved to develop more convenient and precise manometer in continuous measurement of the gas pressure in medium-low vacuum range (1x10$^{-1}$ -10 Torr.) Glass (solid) is used as a detector material of the improved manometer. Using the strain gauge adhered to thin glass board, mechanical strain corresponding to variation of pressure in measurement system is converted into quantity of electricity, and the quantity of electricity is amplified. Experiments have also shown that the improved manometer have more advantages in reproducibility, measured sensibility, and responsible velocity than taditional one.
