We present somple block methods for blind maximal ratio combining (MRC) based on a maximum likelihood (ML) principle and finite alphabet properties (FAP) inherent in digital communication systems. The methods can provide accurate estimates of channel parameters even with a small subset of data, thus realizing nearly perfect combining. The channel parameters of diversity branches and the data sequence are estimated simultaneously by using an alternating projection technique. Two different methods, that is, (1) Joint combining and data sequence estimation(JC-DSE) method and (2) Pre-combining and blind phase estimation (PC-BPE) method are presented. Efficient initiallization schemes that can assure the convergence to the global optimum are also presented. Simulation results demonstrate the performance of two methods on the symbol error rate (SER) and the estimated accuracy of the channel parameters.
This paper describes methodology which enables user in order to play multiplex channel media at realtime to augment a various advertisement effect efficiently. This method implemented from the computer environment where DirectX SDK, DirectShow and MS Visual Studio 2008 etc. are established. This media player have or hide the menu interface for reads the media. The experimental data which are used in the media player is mostly video. We added the area where has the function of Banner Ticker and GIF Animation in the media player in order augmenting an advertisement effect. All medias come to separate with video and audio by Splitter. Then that respectively execute Decoder and Render. Also the media player are possible video mixing using an alpha channel. This paper used VMR-9 of DirectShow for this. The player which sees to use multiplex channel, to remake the various medias simultaneously. Therefore, this player which sees advertisement effect of the form which is various positively in the users, has the advantage which is the possibility to recognize. This paper use tried the media player using experimental data and compare the existing media player and the media player which proposes from functional differences for an advertisement effect.
The computer has become an indispensable tool for animation works. However if you don't understand the characteristics of the computer and its software, you might not have the result satisfying your efforts. The incorrect understanding of image format sometimes causes it. Habitually image formats are selected usually for most of works but there is a distinct difference among those image formats while the efficient usages of them are different from each other. For your more efficient work therefore, you need to identify the characteristics of various kinds of image format used mostly for animation works. First I took a look at the theories of the lossy compression and lossless compression, which are two types of data compression widely used in the whole parts of computer world and the difference between bitmap method and vector method, which are respectably different in terms of the way of expressing images and finally the 24 bit true color and 8 bits alpha channel. Based on those characteristics, I have analyzed the functional difference among image formats used between various types of animation works such as 2D, 3D, composing and editing and also the benefits and weakness of them. Additionally I've proved it is wrong that the JPEG files consume a small space in computer work. In conclusion, I suggest the TIF format as the most efficient format for whatever it is editing, composing, 3D and 2D in considering capacity, function and image quality and also I'd like to recommend PSD format which has compatibility and excellent function, since the Adobe educational programs are used a lot for the school education. I hope this treatise to contribute to your right choice of image format in school education and practical works.

Recently, the meditation is getting a major concern because of the trend of wellbeing. The various meditation methods are introduced, but, we need to take an appropriate method for himself or herself. Especially, the numbers of meditators who are using meditation music while they are meditating are increasing. Some people say it is helpful, but others don't. Therefore, I have studied the impact of the meditation music in this paper. I have compared between the meditation with the music and without the music by measuring the channels of left and right hemisphere of prefrontal lobe with 14-channel EEG device. For the result, I have found that there are great difference between two experiments.

Nowadays our society is rapidly transforming into an aging society. A better understanding of dementia is a high priority in the aging society. Therefore our study is basically aimed at understanding characteristics of EEG signals from dementia patients. Firstly, we analyzed spontaneous EEG signals from normal persons and dementia patients to distinguish their characteristics. The EEG signals are recorded with 16 electrodes and we classified the EEG signals form the signals according to frequency band. To obtain the clean EEG signals, we used cross correlation function between two channels. From the analysis results, we can observe that the EEG characteristics from dementia patients are distinctly different from that from normal persons.

The purpose of this study was to compare how three kinds of emotionally different music impacted on the emotion and arousal by measuring EEG. The research method was to compare the measurement of the background EEG on Fp1 and Fp2 before, while and after listening using a 2-channel EEG device with various experimental groups aging from 20s to 50s. The results were as follows. 1) At both Fp1 and Fp2, the amplitude of alpha(8-13Hz), SMR(12-15Hz), low beta, high beta, and ${\alpha}/-{\beta}$significantly increased in all music, while at Fp2 only, theta and ??/SMR increased meaningfully.2) At right prefrontal cortex(Fp2), all bands of EEG predominated while and after listening to all songs over Fp1 except for the delta of funeral march which predominated while listening to Fp1.3) The music with a noticeably high alpha value and increased activity was Prelude. These results suggested that Prelude induced brain activity along with relaxation, and the emotionally heavy burden of funeral march decreased the activity of the left brain. This research revealed that feeling emotional change by listening to music was due to the fact that music influenced the brain activity inducing the change of emotion and arousal.
In this study, experiments on the improvement of the emotion classification, analysis and accuracy of EEG data were proceeded, which applied DEAP (a Database for Emotion Analysis using Physiological signals) dataset. In the experiment, total 32 of EEG channel data measured from 32 of subjects were applied. In pre-processing step, 256Hz sampling tasks of the EEG data were conducted, each wave range of the frequency (Hz); Theta, Slow-alpha, Alpha, Beta and Gamma were then extracted by using Finite Impulse Response Filter. After the extracted data were classified through Time-frequency transform, the data were purified through Independent Component Analysis to delete artifacts. The purified data were converted into CSV file format in order to conduct experiments of Machine learning algorithm and Arousal-Valence plane was used in the criteria of the emotion classification. The emotions were categorized into three-sections; 'Positive', 'Negative' and 'Neutral' meaning the tranquil (neutral) emotional condition. Data of 'Neutral' condition were classified by using Cz(Central zero) channel configured as Reference channel. To enhance the accuracy ratio, the experiment was performed by applying the attributes selected by ASC(Attribute Selected Classifier). In "Arousal" sector, the accuracy of this study's experiments was higher at "32.48%" than Koelstra's results. And the result of ASC showed higher accuracy at "8.13%" compare to the Liu's results in "Valence". In the experiment of Random Forest Classifier adapting ASC to improve accuracy, the higher accuracy rate at "2.68%" was confirmed than Total mean as the criterion compare to the existing researches.
In this paper, a method of discriminating EEG for diagnoses of mental activity is proposed. The proposed method for classification of schizophrenia and normal EEG is based on the wavelet transform and the artificial neural network. The wavelet coefficients of $\alpha$ band, $\beta$ band, $\theta$ band, and $\delta$ band are obtained using the wavelet transform. The magnitude, mean, and variance of wavelet coefficients for each EEG band are applied to the input data of the system's ANN. The architecture of the ANN s a four layered feedforward network with two hidden layer which implements the error back propagation learning algorithm. Through the classification of schizophrenia composed of 19 ANNs corresponding to 19 channels, the classifying system show that it can classify the 100% of the normal EEG group and the 86.67% of the schizophrenia EEG group.

This study examined children from two families exposed to domestic violence and had psychological counseling in July 2017 at KOVA, a support organization for crime victims. The subjects were exposed to family violence in excess of 10 years and was protected by the shelter with their mothers who had filed complaints with the local police. Victims of domestic violence often face difficulty in avoiding the source of aggression, and thus experience repetitive attacks. This research was conducted at the Buddhism Brain Research Facility, Seoul University, to identify and quantify the emotional characteristics of the affected children in which it is difficult to escape from their living conditions. Data was collected by BrainMaster, a 19-channel examination kit, and analyzed by NeuroGuide. As a result of analyzing the emotional characteristics of the affected children through Quantitative EEG and brain topographical map, we found an increase of slow wave and problems with abnormality of Alpha, High Beta in the left and right Frontal area asymmetry.

In the past high cost and complex system configuration often discouraged hospitals from building teleradiology system or PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System). But new standard platforms enable us to construct the same system with very low cost and simple configurations. internet as a communication channel made us overcome the regional limit and communication cost, and WWW technologies simplified the complex problems on the software developments, configurations and installations. So whoever has a Web browser to access internet can review medical images at anywhere. And we adopted DICOM technology which is a standard for medical imaging, thus we could resolve the interface problems among medical imaging systems such as modalities or archives. The implementation is comprised of three part DICOM/WWW interface subsystem, image format conversion subsystem and viewing applets which are displayed on users WWW browsers. In addition, Teleradiology intrenet PACS system includes DICOM converter that non-DICOM file format converts standard file format.
