A Study on the Flame Configuration and Flame Stability Mechanism with a Nozzle Diameter of Laminar Lifted Jet Flame (층류제트 화염의 노즐직경에 따른 안정화 메커니즘과 화염형상에 관한 연구)

  • Flame stability is the one of the main mechanism of laminar lifted flame and flame propagation velocity becomes a yardstick to measure the flame stability. Bilge has presented the flame propagation velocity of the triple flame and the flame stability mechanism related the flame configuration and mixture fraction. However, there was not able to observe all process of flame ignition and extinction for small nozzle diameter. In this paper, we have subdivided the flame configuration and stability mechanism and classified the flame behavior with a nozzle diameter. Also we have subdivided the 'triple flame propagation opened' and the 'triple flame propagation closed' from the triple flame propagation of triple flame criterion.

Stabilization Mechanism for Sands Treated with Organic Acids from Laboratory Tests (유기산 재료를 이용한 사질토의 안정화 메커니즘에 관한 연구)

  • The field of ground amelioration, many construction methods have been developed more prosperously up to now, but even now, the majority focuses on the improvement of ground strength. And they could not suggest concrete solutions to the occurrence of environmental issues. To address this problem, soil improvement methods employing organic acid materials have recently been developed as eco-friendly technologies for increasing the soil strength, but details regarding the basic stabilization mechanism are not known yet. Against this background, this research was conducted to examine the soil stabilization mechanism; for this purpose, unconfined compressive strength and pH tests were conducted by using an improved eco-friendly organic acid material. The test results revealed that the samples processed with the organic acid showed a considerable increase in the unconfined compressive strength over time as compared to the strength of the samples that were processed without the organic acid. It was also confirmed that the organic acid material promoted microbial breeding and improved the soil structure by reducing the volume of the voids in the soil. Therefore, the sustainable development of this method needs to be analysed more in the future.

  • 본 논문에서는 분산 멀티미디어 환경에서 데이터 크기의 가변성과 네트워크의 부하변동으로 인하여 발생하는 미디어 불연속성을 방지하면서 동기화를 보장하는 클라이언트 버퍼 안정화 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안 알고리즘은 클라이언트의 상황에 맞도록 산출된 미디어스크림의 제어량과 제어시간이 포함된 제어 메시지를 멀티미디어 서버로 전송함으로써 클라이언트 버퍼를 안정화 시킬 수 있다. 클라이언트는 주기단위로 수신측의 자원과 네트워크의 상태를 예측하여 오버런 혹은 스타베이션이 발생할 징후가 보이면 제어 메시지를 생성하는데, 제어값들은 클라이언트의 상황과 멀티미디어 서버의 미디어스트림전송 메커니즘 및 네트워크의 상태를 고려하여 생성된다. 본 알고리즘의 특징은 미디어스트림의 과도한 드롭으로 인한 질 저하를 방지하며, 특히 네트워크의 부하변동이 클 경우에는 빠른 속도로 시스템을 안정화시킨다.

  • Stabilization mechanism of lifted flame in the near field of coflow jets has been investigated experimentally and numerically for methane fuel diluted with nitrogen. Lifted flames were observed only in the near field of coflow jets until blowout occurred in the normal gravity condition. To elucidate the stabilization mechanism for the stationary lifted flames in the near field of coflow jets for the diluted methane having the Schmidt number smaller than unity, the behaviors of the stationary lifted flame in microgravity and unsteady propagation phenomena were investigated numerically at various conditions of jet velocity. It has been founded that the buoyancy plays an important role for flame stabilization of lifted flame in normal gravity and the stabilization mechanism is due to the significant variation of the propagation speed of lifted flame edge compared to the local flow velocity at the edge.

QM/MM-MD Simulation을 통한 수용액 상에서의 Formamide Hydrolysis Mechanism 연구

  • Peptide bond hydrolysis는 세포 내외의 생화학반응에 있어서 핵심이다. 하지만 amide Hydrolysis Mechanism은 아직 명확하게 규명되지 않았다. pH가 중성인 물에서의 비 촉매 가수분해가 발생하는 몇몇 실험적 증거가 있지만, 해당 반응 매커니즘은 4 가지(non-assisted concerted, non-assisted step-wise, assisted concerted, assisted step-wise)로 여전히 논란이 있다. 이번 연구에서는, Formamide의 가능한 Hydrolysis Mechanism을 자세히 연구해보고자 한다. 먼저, Ab-initio 계산을 통해 4가지 반응 메커니즘의 다시 한번 확인하고, quantum chemical calculations과 quantum mechanical molecular dynamic이 결합된 (QMMD) simulation을 통하여 water solvent에서의 반응 메커니즘의 에너지관계를 규명하였다. 결론적으로 아직 계산이 끝나지 않은 supported concerted mechanism을 제외한 모든 계산에서 non-supported, supported 두 system 모두에서 step-wise가 일어나기 쉬웠고, non-supported 보다 supported mechanism이 선호됨을 보였다. Intermediate인 amino-gem-diol의 수용액 상에서 안정화 또한 나타났다. 이는 Ab-initio 계산만 통해서는 정확하게 산출할 수 없는 엔트로피의 영향을 잘 보여준다.

코어/쉘 나노입자를 포함한 고분자 박막을 저항 변화층으로 사용한 전기적 안정성을 가진 메모리 소자의 메커니즘 동작

  • 유기물/무기물 나노복합체를 이용하여 제작한 비휘발성 메모리 소자는 간단한 공정과 플렉서블 기기 응용 가능성 때문에 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 다양한 나노입자를 포함한 고분자 박막에 대한 연구는 많이 진행되었지만, 비휘발성 메모리소자에서 CdSe/InP 나노입자를 사용한 나노복합체의 전기적 안정성과 동작 메커니즘에 대한연구는 미흡하다. 본 연구는 CdSe/InP 코어/쉘 나노입자가 poly (N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) 박막에 분산되어 있는 나노복합체를 이용하여 메모리 소자를 제작하여 전기적 특성과 안정성을 관찰 하였다. 소자 제작을 위해PVK 고분자를 용매인 클로로벤젠에 용해한 후, 헥산에 안정화 되어있는 CdSe/InP 나노입자를 초음파 교반기를 사용하여 고르게 섞었다. Indium-tin-oxide (ITO)가 증착한 유리 기판을 화학물질로 세척한 후 기판 위에 CdSe/InP 나노입자와 절연성 고분자인 PVK가 혼합된 용액을 스핀코팅 방법으로 도포하여 나노입자가 포함된 고분자 박막층을 형성하여 저항 변화층으로 사용하였다. 형성된 박막 위에 마스크를 사용하여 Al 상부전극을 고진공에서 열 증착하여 비휘발성 메모리 소자를 제작하였다. 제작된 소자의 전류-전압(I-V) 특성을 측정한 결과 동일전압에서 전도도가 좋은 상태 (ON)와 좋지 않은 상태 (OFF)인 두 개의 상태상 존재한다는 것을 확인하였고, CdSe/InP인 나노입자가 포함된 소자와 포함되지 않은 소자의 전기적 특성을 비교 분석하였다. 두 상태의 안정성을 ON 또는OFF 상태의 스트레스를 측정하여 두 상태의 안정성을 확인하였고, 실험결과를 바탕으로 메모리 소자의 동작 메커니즘을 기술하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method for stabilizing the image captured from a camera mounted on a buoy robot. In this study, in order to solve the problem of cumulative errors and noise produced by a general gyro sensor measuring the orientation angle of the buoy robot, we propose new method for stabilizing the image. In this method, image processing techniques are combined with a newly designed target mounting mechanism that adapts to wave fluctuations. New target extraction and angle estimation techniques are introduced, along with the new mounting mechanism used for the camera and the target, which produce a stabilized image even if the buoy robot is on fluctuating waves.

A Study on the Flame Curvature Characteristics in a Lifted Flame (부상화염에서 화염 곡률반경 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Flame propagation velocity is the one of the main mechanism of the stabilization of triple flame. To quantify the triple flame propagation velocity, Bilger presents the triple flame propagation velocity through the experiment, depending on the mixture fraction gradient, based on the laminar jet flow theory. However, in spite of these many analyses, there has not been any attempt to quantify the triple flame propagation velocity with the radius of flame curvature. In the present research, a relation of the flame propagation velocity is proposed with the radius of flame curvature for the flame stabilization mechanism. As a result, we have shown that the height of lifted flame is determined with the nozzle diameter and exit velocity of fuel and presented that the radius of flame curvature is proportion to the nozzle exit velocity of fuel and height of lifted flame. Therefore, the importance of the radius of flame curvature has to be recognized. To discribe the flame stabilization mechanism, Bilger's formula has to be modified with flame curvature effect.

Environmentally Adaptive Stabilization of the Hazardous Heavy Metal Waste by Cementious Materials(I) (산업폐기물 중의 유해중금속의 환경친화적 안정화 처리(I))

  • The solidification/stabilization mechanism of each cementious material was investigated. It was found that when $C_3$S was hydrated , the Pb element could be transferred to the insoluble Ca[Pb(OH)$_3$.$H_2O$]$_2$and the Cr element to the CaCr $O_4$$H_2O$. The addition of heavy metal tends to delay the hydration until initial 7 days. The Pb element as also delayed the hydration and the Cr element was substituted for the ettringite. On the occasion of the hydration of $C_4$ $A_3$ $S^{S}$, the Pb and Cr ions were solidified/stabilized by the substitution into the ettringite and/or monosulfate. Leaching of the Pb, Cr and Zn elements in the solidified material was extremely little, indicating that heavy metals were effectively solidified/stabilized in the hydrated cementious materials. Solidification/stabilization of heavy metal ions in the industrial wastes such as the STS, BF and COREX sludge was investigated. In case of the mixing ratio of cement and slag was 3 : 7, leaching of hazardous heavy metal ions was very little, indications that the solidification and stabilization was very successful.l.
