Determination of the Boundary of Parameters for Stabilization of Truss Structures Stabilized by Cable Tension (장력안정트러스 구조물의 안정화를 위한 매개변수의 범위 결정에 관한 연구)

  • The charateristics of stabilization for stabilized truss unit-structures with cable and truss are investigated in this paper. This unit system is composed of a central post and eight cables, and is connected by hinge joints, and stabilized by self-equilibrated stress field. As this unit structure itself is a statically closed and stabilized system individually, it can be employed to assemble structures with various configurations. In this study, for stabilization of truss structures stabilized by cable tension, the structural concept of unit structures, the range of various geometrical parameters and the relationship of governing parameters about unit systems are explained.

  • The conventional finite element formulations for incompressible materials show pressure oscillations or pressure modes in four-node quadrilateral elements of commonly used displacement and pressure interpolations. The criterion for the stability in the pressure solution is the so-called Babugka-Brezzi stability condition, and the above elements do not satisfy this condition. In this study, a pressure continuity residual based on the pressure discontinuity at element interfaces is used to study the stabilization of pressure solutions in bilinear displacement-constant pressure four-node quadrilateral elements. This pressure residual is implemented in Q1P0 element derived from the conventional incompressible elasticity. The pressure solutions can be stable with the pressure residual though they exhibit sensitivity to the stabilization parameters. Parametric study for the solution stabilization is also discussed.

  • This paper is concerned with the stability analysis and stabilization for the Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy systems with parametric uncertainties. To reduce conservativeness in stability analysis for T-S fuzzy systems, fuzzy Lyapunov functions are used. Stability analysis is performed and robust fuzzy controller is designed for stabilization of the system with parametric uncertainties. The stability and stabilization conditions are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, simulation example is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

  • In this paper, some algorithms for robust stabilization of linerar time - invariant single - input - multi output(SIMO) systems subject to parameter perturbatations are presented. .The range of structure perturbation was obtained by using the gradient optimization algorithm. These algorithms iteratively enlarge the stability hypersphere in plant parameter space and can be used to design a robust controller to stabilize a plant subject to givien range of parameter ecxursions.

  • The Taylor model concept is introduced to design a controller with input and output data only. The parameters in Taylor model can be estimated using the input and output data and a controller can be designed based on Taylor model. The accuracy of Taylor model approximation can be improved by increasing the observation window and the order of Taylor model. The LQR method is applied to Taylor model to design power system stabilizers (PSS), and compared with the conventional PSS.

  • This paper presents the stabilization and design of a pan-tilt control part for the directional pan-tilt system for shipboard directional equipment. In order to control each control axis with compensation for ship motion, the 2 degree of freedom(2DOF) PID controller is designed and its parameters are tuned using a real-coded genetic algorithm(RCGA). Simulation demonstrates the effectiveness of the 2 DOF PID controller tuning.

  • A theory of the helix/coil transition for $\alpha$ helical dimer such as $\alpha$ tropomycin and paramycin is developed. The treatment differs from those formulated previously for oligopeptide dimer which is explained by the matrix method using Zimm-Bragg parameter: In the present treatement, it is explained by the zipper model which can account for the dangling H-bond. We calculate the fractional helicity in $\alpha$ helical dimer as a function of helix initiation $constant(\sigma)$, helix stability constant(${\xi}$) and hydrophobic interaction parameter(w). For $\alpha$ tropomycin, the helix stability profile is also calculated. The transitions of this oligomer due to the change of temperature and the concentration of oligopeptide involve simultaneous dissociation of the dimer. The transitions of dimers which have cross-linked S-S bonds or have long chains don't occur, because they keep always helical structures. The transitons due to the concentration of the oligopeptides are steeper than those due to the chain length or temperature.

  • 최근 4대강 살리기 등 하천 개발 사업으로 인한 하천환경의 변화로 하도 내 유사의 세굴 및 퇴적 문제가 제기되고 있으며 이에 대한 대책수립이 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 국외의 경우 이미 수제와 같은 수공구조물의 설계 가이드와 유로 확보 및 하도 안정화를 위한 목적의 수제가 실제 하천에 적용된 사례를 확인할 수 있으며 경험적 공식 등을 통해 이미 실용화 단계에 있다. 그러나 국내의 경우 소수의 수제 설치 등 제한적인 연구만이 진행되고 있을 뿐 하도 안정화를 위한 적절한 기술 개발이 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 하도안정화를 위한 구조적 대책의 일환으로 이동상 수리모형 실험을 통해 단일 및 연속수제를 이용함에 있어 수제 설치에 따른 하상변화의 특성을 지배하는 매개변수(수심, 후루이드 수, 유속 등)를 검토하였다. 연구 결과 후루이드 수와 수심 뿐만 아니라 평균 유속 와 한계유속 $V_r$을 무차원화한 $V/V_{cr}$ 값이 하상 변동 양상에 지배적인 영향을 미친다는 사실을 확인하였다. 수제주변의 정량적 세굴 및 퇴적 깊이와 범위는 물론 수제가 수제부 하류에 미치는 하상 변화의 영향 범위를 지배하는 인자들의 상관관계를 유도하였다. 본 연구에서 확인한 수제 설치 시 하상변동 특성을 지배하는 주요인자들과 이들의 상관관계는 하상의 안정성 확보 및 수제 설계 가이드라인 수립을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Control system modeling and optimal bending filter design for KSR-III (Korea Sounding Rocket III) are performed. Rigid rocket dynamics, aerodynamics, sloshing, structural bending, actuator dynamics, sensor dynamics and on-board computer characteristics are considered for control system modeling. Compensation for time-varying control system parameters is conducted by gain-scheduling. A filter to stabilize bending mode is designed using parameter optimization technique. Resultant attitude control system can satisfy required frequency domain stability margin.

  • A force cancelling observed to control the vibration of a single degree of freedom elastic system subjected to an arbitrary, unmeasurable disturbance is considered in this paper. The main idea of a force cancelling observer is how an estimate of the excitation can be derived and used to generate a control force which reduces the vibration. This control is shown to be robust with respect to the parameters describing the behavior of the system. Experimental and numerical results are presented which show the efficacy of the observer when the system is excited by periodic, random, and impulsive torques.
