Solid Circulation Characteristics in a 3 kW Chemical-looping Combustor (3 kW급 매체순환식 가스연소기의 고체순환특성)

  • To overcome disadvantages of conventional two interconnected fluidized beds system, a novel two-interconnected fluidized bed process has been adopted to 3kW chemical-looping combustor. This system has two bubbling beds, solid injection nozzles, solid conveying lines, and downcomers. In this study, effects of operating variables such as gas velocity through the solid injection nozzle, fluidizing velocity, solid height, geometry of solid intake hole, bed temperature on solid circulation rate have been investigated in a 3kW chemical-looping combustor. The solid circulation rate increased as the solid height and the opening area of solid intake holes increased. The effect of the fluidizing velocity and the bed temperature were negligible. Moreover, long-term operation of continuous solid circulation up to 50 hours has been performed to check feasibility of stable operation. The pressure drop profiles in the bubbling beds and the downcomers were maintained steadily and solid circulation was smooth and stable.

Spacer Grid Effects on Turbulent Flow in Rod Bundles (지지격자가 봉다발 난류유동에 미치는 영향)

  • The local hydrulic characteristics in subchannels of 5$\times$5 nuclear fuel bundles with spacer grids were measured at upstream and downstream of the spacer grid for the investigation of the spacer grid effects on turbulent flow structure by using an LDV(Laser Doppler Velocimeter). The measured parameters are axial velocity and turbulent intensity, skewness factor, and flatness factor. Pressure drops were also measured to evaluate the loss coefficient for the spacer grid and the friction factor for rod bundles. From these data, it was found that the turbulent mixing and forced mixing occur up to $x/D^h=10$ and 20 from the spacer grid, respectively. The turbulence decay behind spacer grid behaves in the similar decay rate as turbulent flow through mesh grids or screens. Mixing factors useful in subchannel analysis code were correlated from the data and show the highest value near spacer grid and then have a stable values.

Application of Insulation Curing Method with Double Bubble Sheets Subjected to Cold Weather (이중 버블시트를 이용한 단열양생공법의 한중시공 적용 사례)

  • This study reviewed the results of utilization of insulation heat curing method using double layer bubble sheet in slab concrete and mass concrete in cold weather environment. First of all, when double layer bubble sheets are applied, it was shown that slab concrete was protected from early freezing by remaining between 6 and $10^{\circ}C$ even in case outside temperature drops $10^{\circ}C$ below zero until the 2nd day from piling, and in the case of mass concrete, with the maximum temperature difference between the center and surface less than $6^{\circ}C$, crack occurrence index was close to 2 and no hydration heat crack occurred by internal constraint. The insulation heat preservation curing method using the double bubble sheet applied in this field prevented early freezing owing to stable curing temperature management, deterring concrete strength development delay at low temperature, and obtained the needed strength. Also, it was proven that the method is highly effective and economic for cold weather concrete quality maintenance through curing cost reduction like construction period shortening and labor cost reduction, etc by reducing the process of temporary equipment installation and disassembling.

  • 농업 유전공학 기술은 생산성 향상, 환경보전, 식품의 안정성 및 품질향상에 기여함은 물론 농업의 경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 유일한 대안으로 인식되고 있다. 전 세계적으로 유전자 재조합 작물의 경작지는 2000년 한해동안 지난해 같은 기간에 비해 11% 증가하였으며 이는 1996년 대비 25배 증가하였고, 선진국과 개발도상국은 각각 2%, 51% 1999년 대비 증가하였다. 1983년 유전자 재조합에 의한 식물의 형질전환이 성공한 뒤 종묘업계는 형질전환 종자개발과 보급에 열중하고 있으며 종자시장에 형질전화 품종이 차지하는 비율은 2000년 30억 달러에서 2010년이면 전체의 60%인 200억 달러에 이를 것으로 전망된다. 1995년 제초제 저항성 콩(라운드업레디콩)이 농가에 보급된 이후 2000년 형질전환품종 재배면적이 3990만 ha에 이르렀고 1997년 미국과 캐나다는 옥수수, 대두, 면화, 감자, 유채 등의 형질전환 품종 재배로 각각 3억1400만 달러, 5300만 달러를 벌어들였음. 형질전환 품종의 보급 증가속도는 소비자들의 GMO에 대한 거부반응으로 다소 주춤한 상태이다. 그러나 최근 종자회사들은 생태계 위해성 논란을 피해갈 수 있는 연구로 이러한 상황을 돌파하려 하고 있다. 우리나라에서도 유전자변형 생물체에 관한 법률이 제정되었으며 많은 대학과 연구소에서 형질전환 연구가 꾸준히 이루어지고 있고 최근 제초제 저항성 벼와 바이러스 저항성 감자가 개발돼 GMO 안정성 점검에 들어가 있고, 살충성 배추, 혈압강하 토마토, 지방산 강화 들깨, 병저항성 고추 등도 실험실과 포장에서 재배되고 있다. 이르면 4-5년 뒤 형질전환 작물들이 농가에 보급될 전망이다. 이처럼 체크 툴은 Firewall의 수비능력을 보강하는 위치에 있다고 생각할 수 있다.다. 4 장에서는 3장에서 제기한 각각의 문제점에 대해 RAD 의 관점에 비추어 e-business 시스템의 단기개발을 실현하기 위한 고려사항이나 조건 해결책을 제안한다. 본 논문이 지금부터 e-business 를 시작하려고 하는 분, e-business 시스템의 개발을 시작하려고 하는 분께 단기간의 e-business 실현을 위한 하나의 지침이 된다면 다행이겠다.formable template is used to optimize the matching. Touch Recognition based on SIFT Algorithm (SIFT 알고리즘 기반 터치인식)

  • This paper introduces a touch recognition method for touch screen systems based on the SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform) algorithm for stable touch recognition under strong noises. This method provides strong robustness against the noises and makes it possible to effectively extract the various size of touches due to the SIFT algorithm. In order to verify our algorithm we simulate it on the Matlab with the channel data obtained from a real touch screen. It was found from the simulations that our method could stably recognize the touches without regard to the size and direction of the touches. But, our algorithm implemented on a real touch screen system does not support the realtime feature because the DoG(Difference of Gaussian) of the SIFT algorithm needs too many computations. We solved the problem using the DoM(Difference of Mean) which is a fast approximation method of DoG.

  • A RF receiver section for INMARSAT-C external mounting unit was designed, fabricated and evaluated. Using a INA-03184, the high gain amplifier consists of matched amplifier type. Active bias circuitry can be used to provide temperature stability without requiring the large voltage drop or relatively high-dissipated power needed with a bias stabilization resistor. The bandpass filter was used to reduce a spurious level. As a result, the characteristics of the receiver section implemented here show 60 dB in gain, 44.83 dBc in a spurious level. The voltage standing wave ratios(VSWR)of input output port are less than 1.8:1, respectively.

  • 효모 (Saccharomyces Cervisiae)는 단일 세포의 형태로 존재하는 진핵 세포로써 동물세포와 유사한 기작으로 분비성 단백질을 생성한다. 따라서 박테리아와 달리 효모를 이용하면 당단백질이나 이황결합을 포함하는 분비성 단백질을 경제적으로 대량 합성할 수 있다. 효모의 필수 단백질 중 하나인 단백질 이황이성질화 효소는 소포체에 위치하며 분비성 단백질에 구조적으로 안정한 이황결합을 제공하는 효소이다. 본 연구는 단백질 이황이성질화 효소 (protein disulfide isomerase)가 지니고 있는 두 개의 활성도메인 중 분비성 단백질들의 합성 효율에 직접적으로 관여하는 부위를 찾는 연구이다. 효모 유전체로부터 단백질 이황이성질화 효소의 유전자 (PDI1)을 제거하고 효소의 변이 유전자를 주입한 후 효모의 성장 속도를 측정하였다. 또한 효모의 대표적 분비성 단백질을 각 변이 효소를 지니는 효모에 과발현시켜 합성 및 이황결합 형성 효율을 측정하였다. 단백질 이황이성질화 효소내 두 개의 활성 부위 중 아미노 말단쪽에 위치한 a 도메인에 있는 활성 부위가 분비성 단백질의 활성에 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이 결과는 이황결합이나 당을 포함하는 외래 단백질의 고효율 합성을 위한 새로운 효모종 개발에 중요한 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대 된다.

  • Combustion tests of a fuel-rich gas generator had been conducted using the assembly of a powerpack. A gas generator is prone to longitudinal modes of combustion instabilities in a powerpack due to the increase of a characteristic length. It has been observed that the orifice inserted at the exit of the gas generator suppresses a longitudinal combustion instability. The intensities of pressure fluctuations in the manifolds and the chamber increase quadratically with a chamber pressure. Pressure fluctuations in the fuel manifold reveal two-fold strength greater than those in the oxygen manifold and the chamber. Frequency analysis indicates nonlinear characteristics inherent in the pressure fluctuations in the fuel manifold.

  • When deep excavation adjacent to an existing structure is performed, it is very important to minimize damage on the structure through the prediction of ground movement. In this paper, finite element analysis was performed to predict the ground movement, based on the data from site investigation and laboratory tests, when deep excavation close to a buried water tank was carried out in soft clay ground. The movement and stabilities of the soil-cement wall(SCW) and the adjacent structure were checked using the results of the analysis and the field measurement. The comparison between the measured and the predicted ground movements showed the significance of the excavation procedure and lowering of water level in the analytical model. In the future, it is needed to improve the prediction method for better estimation of the ground movement.

  • The stability of the embankment is depended upon the location of seepage line. As the seepage flow occurs in the embankment, the slope of the embankment loses its stability. Of particular interest is the stability following a rapid change of embankment level. The variation of seepage line in the embankment model according to flow velocity was investigated. In addition to this non-steady state flow in embankment by a fluctuation of water level is discussed. The experimental model was construction with slopes of 1 : 2.5 and flow velocity is turned from 60 cm/sec~90 cm/sec. Analysis of the experimental results, the seepage line is influenced by flow velocity and coefficient of permeability.
