A Comparison of Operational Productivity between Conventional berth and Indented berth in Container Terminals (컨테이너 터미널에서 일반부두와 양현부두의 본선작업 완료시간 비교 연구)

  • 최근 컨테이너 선박의 대형화는 물동량을 크게 증가 시켰으며, 이로 인해 컨테이너 터미널에서는 규모의 경제를 달성하고, 선사의 요구를 만족시키기 위해 노력하고 있다. 이에 대한대안이 양현부두(Indented berth)의 등장이다. 양현부두에는 대형 컨테이너선의 물량을 신속히 처리하기 위해 선석에서 컨테이너를 취급하는 장비인 안벽크레인(Quay Crane : QC)의 작업 대수가 일반부두(Conventional berth)보다는 많이 할당될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 일반부두와 양현부두의 작업 생산성을 비교하였다. 이를 위하여 탐색기법인 GRASP(Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure)를 적용한 안벽크레인 일정계획 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 또한 컨테이너 터미널의 실제 자료를 이용하여 두 가지 형태의 부두에서의 본선작업 완료시간을 비교 하였다.

부산신항 사석층 침하를 고려한 안벽기초의 침하량 분석

  • 부산신항 북컨테이너터미널 민차부두 1단계 공사에 적용된 안벽기초는 하부 대섬도 연약점토층 개량을 위한 SCP(Sand Compaction Pile) 개량층과 그 상부에 약 6m정도의 사석층으로 구성되어 있다. 안벽은 케이슨식으로 상부의 크레인 풍의 공용하중 작용시에 발생이 예상되는 안벽기초의 과도한 지반침하 방지를 위해 근고블럭에 의한 Preloading 공법이 적용되었다. 따라서, 프리로딩에 의한 하부기초지반의 침하관리가 중요 공사관리 포인트가 된다. 그러나, SCP층이나 사석총에 대한 침하량 예측은 반경험적 방법에 의존하기 때문에 실제와 상당한 차이가 발생하게 된다 본 연구에서는 사석층의 진동다짐에 의한 시공 특성을 반영하기 위해 굴착치환구간의 사석층에 대한 실측값을 이용하여 Terzaghi 변형식의 침하계수 a를 재산정하여 SCP개량구간에 적용함으로써 보다 합리적인 안벽기초의 침하량을 분석하였고 이를 사석층의 여성고 산정에 이용하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 컨테이너 터미널의 적정 안벽능력(Quay Capacity)을 분석하기 위한 시뮬레이션 모델을 구축하였다. 모델에서는 선박의 터미널 도착 특성, 선박별 양하량 및 적하량, 컨테이너 크레인(Container Crane, C/C) 생산성 및 투입대수 등을 입력변수로 입력하였으며, 시뮬레이션 결과로써는 안벽점유율, 선석 점유율, 대기시간 비율, 대기비율, Norm time 초과비율 등을 출력하였다. 이중 컨테이너 터미널의 평가지표로는 Norm time 초과비율, 대기비율 및 안벽점유율을 적용하였다. 컨테이너 터미널을 운영중인 터미널의 터미널 운영실적 자료를 이용하여 모델의 확인 및 검증을 실하였다. 모델은 Knowledge Base에 근거하여 수행되는 G2를 이용하여 구축하였다.

  • This Paper aims to develop container terminal simulation models for medium and long term decision makings. It first undertakes in-depth survey of literature. finds its shortcomings and suggests some directions for improvement. It then proposes detailed design for the simulation models. Based on this it finally developes several simulation models and applies them to a hypothetical situation of a container terminal development. The results reveal that basic design questions such as length of quay, number of quay crane, size of storage area are well produced through the models.

  • 장치장 재정돈이란 장치장 크레인의 유휴시간을 활용하여 최대의 효율로 적하작업을 할 수 있도록 장치장의 컨테이너들을 미리 재배치하는 작업을 말한다. 본 논문에서는 수직 배치 자동화 컨테이너 터미널의 장치장을 대상으로 블록 내 재정돈 작업 계획을 수립하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 장치장 재정돈 작업 계획을 목표 장치형태 결정 및 크레인 작업 계획의 2단계로 나누어 수립한다. 시뮬레이션 시스템을 이용하여 재정돈을 수행하기 전과 후의 장치장에 대해 적하 작업 효율을 비교한 결과 재정돈 후 안벽 크레인의 대기 시간이 감소하고, 장치장의 재취급 작업 수가 줄어드는 등 적하 작업 효율이 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • As the rapid increase of the container trade, most of the container terminals strive to improve the container handling productivity. Therefore, they consider to find efficient operating strategies and to introduce new container handling facilities. In terms of equipment, there are a variety of types of quay cranes. Single-lift crane operates only one container regardless of size and twin-lift crane operates two 20' containers or one 40' container simultaneously. Tandem crane, recently introduced, can operate four 20' containers or two 40' containers simultaneously. In this paper, we propose the mathematical model and the solution procedure of the ship loading scheduling problem for the tandem crane.

Development of a Remote Operation System for a Quay Crane Simulator (안벽크레인 시뮬레이터 원격운전 시스템 개발)

  • Quay cranes are considered core equipment for container terminal operation. However, unmanned operation systems have not as yet been announced due to the technological difficulties of implementation. In this paper, we developed a wireless controller to control a quay crane simulator remotely and conducted its performance test, a first step toward unmanned operation of quay cranes. The communication delay of a developed wireless controller was about 9.4ms on average while that of existing wired controllers was about 5.6ms. The same functions were implemented and tested on a smart phone where the average communication delay was 7.3ms. In addition, to apply the developed system into a real environment, we proposed a network architecture based on IEEE 802.11ac and carried out its performance evaluation. When the distance between two nodes was 50m apart, the throughputs of the TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) and UDP (User Datagram Protocol) were 57Mbps and 189Mbps, respectively. The communication delay of the control data was 9.1ms through the TCP channel. These results reveal the proper working of remote quay crane operation if we adopt the IEEE 802.11ac network.

  • Currently at port, various trials about the improvement of operating method for raising operation efficiency of transferring equipment are made, but if the delay is occurred to quay crane due to individual team method in YT operation, the problem which even arranged YT should stop the work. Therefore, this study installed wireless location determining device within yard and measured the location of YT with real-time. Also, in order to raise the location determination effect, we converted operating method into pooling operation method and arranged YT. Through this study, we can trace the movement of YT with real-time and the work control method which anlayzes and evaluates congestion of yard objectively is prepared.

  • At container terminals, a major measurement of productivity can be work-efficiency in quay-side. At the apron, containers are loaded onto the ship and unloaded to apron by Q/C(Quay Crane). For improving the productivity of quay crane, the more efficient Y/T(Yard Tractor) operation method is necessary in container terminals. Between quay-side and yard area, current transferring methods is single-cycling which doesn't start loading unless it finishes unloading. Dual-cycling is a technique that can be used to improve the productivity of quay-side and utility of yard tractor by ship loading and unloading simultaneously. Using the dual-cycling at terminals only necessitates an operational change without purchasing extra equipment. Exactly, Y/T operation method has to be changed the dedicate system to pooling system. This paper presents an efficient ship loading and unloading plan in container terminals, which use the dual-cycling. We propose genetic and tabu search algorithm for this problem.
