The Study of the Correlation between Media Art Creative City and Local festival - with Lyon, Sapporo, Linz as the central figure - (미디어아트 창의도시와 지역축제의 연관성 연구 - 리옹, 삿포로, 린츠를 중심으로 -)

  • This study's purpose is to research the correlation between property and the major festivals with media art of exemplary 3 cities among 8 Unesco Media Art Creative Cities. As a result, it is drawn a conclusion that the below strategies are necessary to achieve success for Unesco Media Art Creative City. First, from the Creative City's point of view, on the basis of the maximization of various merits such as history, natural surroundings, and human resources of the city, it is necessary to reconcile a vision of the city and an identity of Media Art Creative City, and to seek for continuous growth of the city by consistency and durability of control tower within the local government. Second, from the local festival's point of view, it is necessary to provide a differentiated service in the existing media art festivals, to attract the fusion of media art and festivals, and the diversification and the popularization of media art programs. And, it needs to lead to involvement of young people with the fusion of on-line and off-line festivals, the fusion of analogue and digital festivals. In the conclusion, for the successful constructing of Media Art Creative City, it is necessary to maximize the merits of the city's own, to enhance the image for Media Art Creative City with the correlation between the merits and media art, and to differentiate the city's own various festivals, ant the same time, to converge them with media art technology. With these strategies, the local festival can make a new leap for global festival when it constitutes a whole with Media Art Creative City.

  • 이 연구는 관객과 상호작용이 가능한 홀로그램 아트의 구성방안을 제시한다. 이를 위하여 홀로그램을 디스플레이하고 인터랙션하는 방법을 설명한다. 제시하는 인터랙티브 홀로그램 아트는 홀로그램이 관객과의 상호작용을 통하여 새로운 미디어 예술을 보일 수 있다. 즉, 기존의 단순한 홀로그램 표현 기법에서 진화하여 공간에서 상호작용을 할 수 있도록 하여 새로운 미디어 아트에 적용할 수 있다.

  • 이름도 낮선 조그마한 애니메이션 제작자가 최근 업계의 주목을 받고 있다. 애니메이션 투텐스타인(한국명:타탕)의 제작자인 은아트가 그 주인공. 은아트가 최근 관심을 끌고 있는 것은 이회사가 제작한 첫번째 애니메이션 투텐스타인이 지난 3월 미국 에미싱 본선 후보작으로 선정된 것을 비롯해 지난달에는 유럽 방송 연맹이 주관하고 유네스코에서 후원하는 국제 청소년싱(2004 Prix Jeunesse International)에서도 본선 최종후보작으로 선정되는 등 인기를 끌고 있기 때문이다. 이제 막 서른 줄에 접어든 젊은 대표 서은아 사장이 이끌고 있는 은아트를 찾았다.

  • 산업헉명 이후 유리와 철의 이용은 넓은 개구부를 지닌 대형공간을 지닌 건축을 가능케 하였고, 1970년대 이후 새로운 건축양식의 추구라는 시대적 요구는 아트리움의 건축적 응용을 확산하게 하였다. 아트리움은 다층건물의 유리로 덮힌 대형공간으로 건물의 중심적이고 내부적인 공공의 공간이다. 대형공간으로서 아트리움의 가장 큰 특징은 넓은 채광창을 통해 실내로 유입되는 태양광에 있다. 넓은 채광창은 사람들에게 시각적인 개방감을 제공하며, 또한 많은 채광량으로 식재에 의한 조경이 가능해 외부공간과 같은 분위기를 연출하면서도 비·바람·추위 등으로부터 보호되는 쾌적한 온열환경을 제공하고 있다.

  • This study examined the trends of an illustration artist's art marketing widening its area in recent years and proposes a design concept of color cosmetics. Art marketing is a type of culture marketing and means marketing through exhibitions, performances and other artistic activities. Free artistic sensibility expression in which the artistic motif is melted into a product beyond the works of a particular artist, and the product, in turn, can be reflected in the canvas, has attracted attention. The works of illustrators are widening their area into the item in life not canvas. This paper proposes the color cosmetics design that reflect art marketing. The main target who proposed the design concept was trend-oriented and in their early to mid-20s with a strong personality, showing a strong tendency of attracting attention and being recognized. To emphasize the design concept of color cosmetics packaging design, the progressive image of the target class was reflected through brilliant and intense color combination. The cultural value and meaning are provided as the artistic mood becomes a part of life.

  • The development of technology has always been influencing the worldview of the time, and this has been embodied through artistic media and contents throughout history. This paper begins with an overview on how the notion of movement in art has developed with the juxtaposition of materiality and immateriality or the conversion between the two by rethinking Kinetic Art which was popularized in the mid-twentieth century in America and Europe. Then, this is compared with New Media Art which employs advanced digital media techniques to generate virtual images. New Media Art requires some kinds of physical mechanisms and space for the embodiment of virtual images to some extent. The coexistence of material and immaterial aspects of New Media art is investigated through the contextualization with certain aspects of Kinetic Art.

  • This study aims to help the creative idea of nail art design and the expansion of artistic realm by presenting nail art applied with dot, line, and plane, which are the basic elements of the sculpture that make up the space for visual expression of nail art. The research method considered the concepts and characteristics of the molding elements through professional books, prior research, and Internet website. Along with various expression techniques, the characteristics of dot, line, and plane were applied to nail art and expressed as visual messages, and a total of six works were produced according to each characteristic. This research aims to find a new perspective on nail art expression by reinterpreting the characteristics of dot, line, and plane, which are formative elements, in an artistic approach, and to contribute to enhancing the infinite possibilities of nail art design by utilizing them.

  • Recently, with the development of new technology, media arts in public places have been installed in various forms. Especially, the installation of media arts at the airport is increasing, and it is time to study this. Therefore, this study investigated cases of media art at Incheon International Airport and suggested improvement direction. As a result of analyzing the case of media art in Incheon Airport is follows. First, the airport media art in the future should develop an interactive work that more audience can participate and provide pleasant experience. Second, the contents of the airport media art should be produced not only in various kinds but also as contents representative of the country. Third, it should be produced as a content that can convey the characteristics and images of the country in a storytelling format rather than a short and simple media art collection.

  • NFT art is a new art formed based on NFT technology. This is attracting great attention in the existing art world and art market. Therefore, it is required to analyze whether NFT art can establish itself as a new area of art. Therefore, the formation and development process of NFT art is analyzed from the perspective of Actor-Network Theory of Science and Technology and Studies, and the case of NFT artist 'beeple' is a representative example. It also discusses the artistic value of NFT art and its relationship with traditional art networks based on the aesthetics of science and technology researcher Graham Harman. In particular, it analyzes the future and genre sustainability of NFT art through the case of NFT project "Cryptopunks" and "PUNKISM" advocating a new art genre. By analyzing NFT art with ANT, I would like to raise a technical, aesthetic, and philosophical questions and propose a positive prospect as a new art genre.
