Analysis of the Targeting Accuracy of KOMPSAT-1 EOC (아리랑위성1호EOC영상촬영의 지향정확도분석)

  • At present the KOMPSAT-1 is operating for seven years, though mission life time was only three years. We expect the KOMPSAT-1's mission for several years ahead, considering the KOMPSAT-1's current conditions. However, a question that the plan and the result was not equal have being arises. Recently, we attempted to take a picture of the Mount Everest. But we don't take a picture of the Mount Everest in the center of image. This paper make clear the difference between target center from operating commender and image center from received data, for the continual and stable KOMPSAT operation.

Performance Analysis of the KOMPSAT-1 Orbit Determination Using GPS Navigation Solutions (GPS 항행해를 이용한 아리랑 1호의 궤도결정 성능분석 연구)

  • In this paper, the performance of the KOMPSAT-1 orbit determination (OD) accuracy at the ground station was analyzed by using the flight data. The Bayesian least squares estimation was used for the orbit determination and the assessment of the orbit accuracy was evaluated based on orbit overlap comparisons. We also compared the result from OD using GPS navigation solutions with NORAD TLE and the result from OD using range data. Furthermore, the effect of observation type and OBT drift on the accuracy was investigated. As a consequence, It is shown that the OD accuracy using only GPS position data is on the order of 5m RMS (Root Mean Square) with 4 hrs arc overlap for the 30hr arc and the GPS velocity data is not proper as a observation for the OD due to its inferior quality. The significant deterioration of the accuracy due to the critical clock bias was not founded by means of the comparison of OD result from other observations.

아리랑 1호 EOC영상에서 추출한 DEM의 정확도 향상을 위한 연구

  • 본 논문에서는 인공위성연구센터에서 수행한 아리랑 1호 EOCdud상으로부터의 DEM 생성작업에 관하여 보고한다. EOC 영상으로부터 DEM을 생성하는 작업은 기존의 인공위성연구센터에서 SPOT영상으로부터 DEM 생성을 위하여 개발한 S/W를 이용하여 이루어졌다. 본 논문에서는 DEM생성작업을 크게 카메라 모델링 단계와 영상정합 단계로 구분하여 논의한다. 카메라 모델링 단계에서는 SPOT용으로 개발된 카메라 모델링 기술이 EOC 영상에 적용될 수 있는지를 검토한다. 영상정합 단계에서는 EOC 영상으로부터 가장 우수한 성능의 DEM을 추출하기 위한 영상 정합 파라미터를 추출해낸다. 각 단계별로 EOC 영상을 적용했을 때의 결과를 SPOT 영상을 적용했을 때의 결과와 비교한다. 카메라 모델링과 영상정합의 결과로 EOC 영상으로부터 생성한 DEM의 최종 높이 오차는 약 19m(RMS)로 나타났다. 결론으로 EOC로부터 생성한 DEM의 성능을 SPOT 영상으로부터 얻은 DEM의 성능과 비교하고 향후 EOC 영상으로부터 DEM 생성 작업의 실용화를 위해 필요한 추가 작업들을 기술한다.

  • 2000년 6월부터 정상관측 활동을 시작하는 다목적실용위성 1호 영상자료 및 과학관측 자료의 공공 및 상업적 활용 극대화를 위하여 위성자료 배포에 따른 문제, 즉 공공 및 상용분야에 대한 자료배포 방안에 관한 기본원칙을 설정할 필요성이 대두되었다. 이에 따라 항공우주연구소에서는 다목적실용위성 1호의 자료활용 정책, 위성의 운영방안, 배포방안, 공공 및 상용배포, 가격정책 등에 관한 자료보급 규정을 제정하여 효율적인 자료배포 체계를 구축하고자 한다.

A Analysis on the Result of CE/CS Test on the KOMPSAT-I ETB (아리랑1호 위성 ETB의 전도성 전자파 환경 시험결과 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyze the result of the conduced emission and susceptibility tests performed on the KOMPSAT-I ETB Platform. The ETB platform consists of the EM (Engineering Model) boxes developed to perform the electrical functional test. During the conducted emission test, we measured the instant waveform in time domain when each switch was turn on, and spectrum of the noise in the frequency range of 10 Hz up to100 MHz fur the steady state of the ETB. During the conducted susceptibility test, no malfunction and no serious damage of the electronic box were observed when a simulated noise waveform was applied to the DC power bus. The simulated waveform was obtained by adding the 6 dB-system margin to the worst case waveform measured from the conducted emission. This test was performed as co-development of the KOMPSAT-I with TRW in USA.

A Search for the Origins of Traditional Arirang Songs in Seoul Area (서울지역의 전래 아리랑 노래의 시원(始原)에 대한 탐색)

  • Background: Arirang is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage and intangible cultural property No. 129. However, research on the origin of Arirang in Seoul is still narrowly conducted, and it is necessary to investigate it academically. Purpose: This study is to clarify the research on the origin of traditional Arirang in Seoul area on a theoretical basis. Methods: I searched various documents to find the source of Arirang in Seoul. Results: The record of 'Arirang' was first confirmed as 'Arirang Taryeong(song)' in 'Hanyang-ga' in Maecheonyarok (Maecheon's history) by Hwang (1894). After that, Hulbert (1896) published the first modern sheet music and lyrics of <A-ra-rung> on music paper. In addition, Lee Sang Jun (1914) edited <Old Korean Folk Songbook, First volume> and recorded the lyrics and score titled 'Arirang Taryeong' on page 25 and the long Arirang Taryeong. Conclusions: Literally, the origin of 'Arirang in Seoul' is 'Arirang Taryeong' first recorded in 'Hanyang-ga' of Maecheonyarok. Arirang song, which originated in Hanyang, can be called Seoul Arirang. It is suggested that Seoul Arirang has a very high value as a protected cultural heritage of Seoul because of its historical and cultural characteristics.
