  • 암반 기초에서 발생 가능한 파괴형태로는 $\circled1$전단파괴(Shear failure) $\circled2$관입파괴(punch failure) $\circled3$붕락(Collapse) $\circled4$균열파괴 (cracking) $\circled5$분쇄상파괴 (crushing) $\circled6$쐐기상파괴 (wedging)를 들 수 있다. 그림 2.4-1에서 (a)는 연암층 내에서의 전형적인 전단파괴를 나타내고, (b)는 소성암반 상부에 강성암반이 놓였을 때의 전단파괴를 보여준다. 거리의존 해양환경에서의 수중음파전달 모델에 대한 benchmark 시험

  • 수중음파전달 모델은 benchmark 시험을 통해 정확도, 적용범위, 계산시간 등의 성능을 평가받는다. 본 논문에서는 analytic 모델, 정상 모드 모델(normal mode model), 포물선 방정식 모델(parabolic equation model), 가우시안 빔 모델(Gaussian beam model), 스펙트럼 모델(spectral model) 등 거리의존 모델에 대해 benchmark 시험을 수행하였으며, benchmark 시험은 다음과 같은 세 가지 거리의존 해양환경으로 나누어 실시했다 : 1) 해수면과 해저면이 Dirichlet 경계조건인 이상 쐐기 문제(ideal wedge problem), 2) 해수면은 앞서 말한 Dirichlet 경계조건이나 해저면은 전달 손실이 있는 손실 통과 해저면 쐐기 문제(penetrable lossy bottom wedge problem), 3) 해수면은 앞서 말한 Dirichlet 경계조건이고 해저면은 Neumann 경계조건으로 서로 평행이면 음파전달 속도가 거리방향 의존인 경우, 경우 1은 anaytic 모델을 사용하고 경우 2는 정상 모드 모델, 포물선 방정식 모델, 스펙트럼 모델을 사용하였으며, 경우 3에 대해서는 가우시안 빔 모델과 포물선 방정식 모델을 사용하였다.

An Experimental Study on Wake Cavity Flow Characteristics of Two-dimensional Wedge Shaped Control Fins (2차원 쐐기형 제어핀 후류의 공동유동 특성에 대한 실험연구)

  • As distinct from a slender body, the separation of the boundary layer on a bluff body give rise to complex wakes in which various kinds of vortices form, develop and interact with each other. In this paper, we investigate cavitation wake field behind wedge shaped two-dimensional fin models. Eight different models are tested at the Chungnam National University Cavitation Tunnel (CNU-CT). First, we measure wake cavity shapes and compare with numerical results, which shows the good agreement with each other. In addition, we demonstrate that wake flow characteristics of the control fin are clearly identified by the correlation analysis of high-speed camera images and pressure fluctuation measurements.

  • This paper presents the results of experimental work on the wedge slamming impact problem. An experiment was done with a wedge model. The deadrise angle of the wedge was $4^{\circ}$. The model was made in two parts: the outside part was made of a 5-mm-thick steel plate that could be assumed to be a rigid body, and the inside part was made of a thin SUS plate that could be assumed to be an elastic body. Thin SUS plate thicknesses of 2 mm and 3 mm were used to determine the effect of plate rigidity. The drop height was varied from 0.25 m to 1 m to determine the effect of a large deformation.

  • The wedge type rail clamp has the operating mechanism: First, the jaw pad clamps a rail with small clamping force. Next as the wind speed increases, the clamping force of the Jaw pad Is Increased by the wedge. The initial clamping force of a jaw pad was determined by the clamping angle of a locker. In this study, we carried out the finite element analysis to evaluate the relationship between the clamping angle of a locker and the clamping force of a jaw pad with respect to the design wind speed, such as 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10m/s, we adopted the wedge type rail clamp fur 50tons class container crane with the wedge angle of $10^{\circ}$.

  • In this paper, the vibration analysis for the Euler-Bernoulli complete and truncate wedge beams by differential Transformation method(DTM) was investigated. The governing differential equation of the Euler-Bernoulli complete and truncate wedge beams with regular singularity is derived and verified. The concepts of DTM were briefly introduced. Numerical calculations are carried out and compared with previous published results. The usefulness and the application of DTM are discussed.

  • Improved technique for collimation testing based on bidirectional shearing interferometry is presented. It consists of a wedgc. plate and two plane mirrors. The proposed technique has its own reference mark to indicate collimation of the light beam and provides a two fold increase in sensitivity. Detailed analyses for various configurat~ons are presented, and the usef~llness for practical applications is demonstrated.
