The maxillary anterior teeth play an important role in esthetics. The esthetic of maxillary anterior teeth is closely related to tooth morphology and also harmony with gingiva. Precise diagnosis and treatment plan are essential to satisfy patient's demand, and sometimes surrounding soft tissue management is involved to achieve the goal. Gingivectomy can be considered as one method to make esthetic restoration possible. As well as esthetics, function has to be considered in maxillary anterior teeth restoration. Definitive cast of abutment and diagnostic cast waxed up labially were superimposed with model scanner, so can provide former comfortable occlusion. This case report demonstrates functional and esthetic improvements of two patients through gingivectomy and the data of superimposed image of casts.

경제적인 수준의 향상과 환자의 심미에 관한 요구도가 높아짐에 따라 금속이 없는 수복물, 특히 세라믹으로 구성된 완전도재관을 이용한 보철 수복이 점차로 증가되는 추세이다. 현재까지 발표된 문헌에 의하면 강도보다는 심미가 더 요구되는 부위에는 Glass ceramics 를, 심미보다는 강도가 더 요구되는 부위에는 지르코니아 세라믹을 이용한 완전전장관이나 고정성 국소의치를 제작하는 것이 일반적으로 추천되며, 그 수복물의 장기간의 성공적인 기능을 위해서는 올바른 접착 방법을 이용하는 것이 중요하다.

Aesthetics means differ from cultures and times and also differ from each person's own thinking. But as a restorative dentist who works for esthetic areas, we need to have certain principles and rationale. Some functions in CAD/CAM looks very useful to match harmonious shape to adjacent teeth and also very effective and efficient when compare to the traditional laboratory technics. Also we will discuss about link abutment (Titanium-Zirconia abutment) which we need for dental implant placed anterior area where the soft tissue is thin.

Successful treatment outcome of esthetic dentistry often requires team approach including orthodontist, surgeon and restorative dentist. Clinician should consider various treatment options to restore missing teeth, especially in anterior region. In this article, interdisciplinary treatment of restoring congenitally missing lateral incisor and unrestorable molars will be presented.

In maxilary anteriors, aesthetic aspect are of critical importance. but it is difficult to achieve esthetic results because of the narrow buccal-lingual alveolar bone width compared to the posterior teeth and alveolar bone resorption during tooth extraction. This case report describes how to minimize alveolar bone resorption and soft tissue collapse when immediate implant placement is done after extraction of the maxillary anterior teeth due to trauma.

Few would disagree with the idea that product aesthetics can be a powerful design tool, because it is important strategic variable not only for design research but also for product design. Surprisingly, however, academic literatures in design field are relatively silent of empirical research on how product aesthetics may be assessed and how its influence measured on consumer response. This study explores the role of the aesthetic elements of product design in influencing consumer response. Specifically, The study reports a psychometric scale to measure consumer perceptions of the aesthetic dimensions of a specific class of product. (the perfume bottle) Although the present effort focused on perfume products, the role of aesthetics in the design of various product and packaging extends beyond the studied product categories.

Aesthetics undertakes important roll in design as a competitive factor. The importance of aesthetics can be found in experimental aesthetics, Gestalt psychology and design related literatures. These literatures suggest that, besides the importance of aesthetics, many other aesthetic factors would affect consumer reaction(recognition, emotional reaction, meaning), but the study is still in insufficient condition. Hense, this study tries to give a guideline -'how to design symbols'based on the apprehension of what kind of design is well recognized(correct recognition), gives positive emotional reaction(affect) to customers, and moreover, what sort of aesthetic factors affect these reactions by analyzing existing symbol designs.
