  • We studied on effective quench protection method to prevent damage from unexpected quench of superconducting magnet for magnetic resonance imaging. And we suggested quench protection circuit that is combined with several protection techniques. This circuit has the capacity to maintain the symmetric nature of the magnetic field and the active shielding effect and to protect shim coils during a quench.

  • In this paper we present the results of manufacturing and tests of prototype cryostat for micro-SMES. The prototype cryostat with HTS current leads and refrigerator had been designed and manufactured for micro-SMES. The cryostat had been tested the helium boil-off and mechanical stress during transfer and vibration test. These results will be applied to micro-SMES cryostat.

  • SMES consists of Superconducting magnet, a power converter, a cryostat and HTS current leads The prototype cryostat with HTS current leads and refrigerators was designed and manufactured for developing micro SMES. The temperature rise under dc current in HTS current leads was measured. The performances of helium boil-off and mechanical stress were evaluated during transfer and vibration tests. The results will be used to develope the micro-SMES system.

  • Generally, two methods can be used to correct the undesirable magnetic field of MRI. One is active shimming method and the other is passive shimming. Passive shimming method uses many magnetized shims to correct the field. And it involves hardwared for supporting shim trays and a software to calculate a field map and optimaze the locations of the shims[1]. The software is the most important part of the passive shimming system. We made a prototype of the software and tested it in a virtual situation.

  • MRI magnet has generally multi-section coil configurations to generate highly homogeneous magnetic field. Each coil is bridged by a shunt resistor to protect the superconducting magnet during quench. In order to optimize the shunt resistor, self inductance of each coil and mutual inductances between coils should be determined beforehand. Therefore, we calculated the self and the mutual inductances of MRI magnet with OPERA program for electromagnetic analysis.

  • 초전도 코일의 안정성(stability)을 향상시키기 방법으로 초전도 자석의 턴(turn) 사이의 절연을 없애는 무절연 코일(no-insulation coil) 및 금속 테이프를 같이 권선하는 금속절연 코일(metal insulation coil)이 제안되어 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 고온초전도 코일의 열적, 전기적 메카니즘을 분석하기 위한 FEM 모델을 제시하고, 이를 사용하여 �치 시 고온 초전도 코일의 안정성 향상 정도를 해석한다.

  • The DiGeorge syndrome is a rare congenital anomaly of absent or hypoplastic thymus and parathyroid glands. Authors experienced a case of DiGeorge syndrome with complex cardiac anomaly. The complex cardiac anomaly was tetralogy of Fallot with origin of the right pulmonaly artery from the posterolateral ascending aorta.His face showed hypertelorism,short philtrum,"fish-like"mouth and micrognathia. This patient underwent total correction of tetralogy of Fallot and end-to-side anastomosis between right pulmonaly artery and side of main pulmonaly artery. He expired on postoperative second day due to right heart failure and hypoxia.d hypoxia.

필렛엔드밀 곡면가공 특성에 관한 연구

  • 본 논문에서는 고속가공 시 필랫(코너-R) 엔드밀의 곡면가공 적용가능 여부를 연구하기 위하여 비교적 곡률이 완만한 곡면을 채택하여 가공실험을 수행하고 고 결과를 분석하였다. 가공재료는 금형의 재료로 많이 사용되는 SKD11 강을 선택하였다. 볼엔드밀과 필렛엔드밀의 비교를 위하여 2 종류의 공구에 동일한 가공조건으로 가공실험 하였다. 가공 중 측정된 절삭력과 가공면의 표면조도를 분석하여 일반적으로 황삭에서 주로 사용되던 필렛엔드밀을 곡률이 완만한 곡면의 정삭에 적용하였을 경우의 절삭특성과 볼엔드밀의 가공특성을 비교하였다.(중략)
