A practical modelling design of 3 phase induction motors for configuring engine room simulators (기관실 시뮬레이터 제작을 위한 3상유도전동기의 실용적 모델링 설계)

  • Modelling methods of 3 phase induction motors dependant on a lot of parameters give much drawbacks and difficulties when making engine room simulators due to computation burden and the time required for acquiring detailed technical data corresponding to actual induction motors. This paper suggests a practical method by a equivalent circuit with minimized parameters and some formulas to configure induction motors which requires only data on the name plates of motors, while it revealed satisfactory modelling performances on the resultant curves which are plotted for the torque, load current and power consume according to slip variation.

  • This paper presents a performance analysis of experimental observations of a uplink smart antenna system operating in a wide-band CDMA environment designed for a WLL (Wireless Local Loop) system. The numerical results shown in this paper have been obtained from practical experiments using commercially developed mobile terminals. The beam pattern provided by the weight vector and the resultant BER (Bit Error Rate) are observed in both indoor and outdoor signal environments. From the experimental observations, it is concluded that the proposed smart antenna system provides significant improvements in receiving both indoor and outdoor signal environments.

  • 용존 철의 행동과 시간적 변화에 대한 연구가 온대 대조차 환경인 금강 하구에서 이루어 졌다. 이지역에서 가장 중요한 환경변수인 하천배수량과 조차의 차이로 야기되 는 변화를 파악할 수 있도록 4번의 현장조사를 각각 다른 배수량과 조차의 시기에 실 시하였으며, 아울러 실험실 내에서 혼합실험도 행해졌다. 혼합실험의 결과 하천에 의 해 운반되는 용존 철의 90% 이상이 5$\textperthousand$ 이하의 저염분역에서 제거되는 현상이 확인되 었다. 그러나 현장조사에서 이러한 초기 혼합시의 용존 철 제거가 뚜렷이 나타난 것은 갈수기.소조기 3번의 다른 환경조건 하에서는 용존 철 농도의 심한 변화가 관측되었 다. 하천배수량과 조차의 변화에 따라 보여진 용존 철의 변화는 하구순환이나 퇴적물 재부유 및 응집체 해체 등의 물리적 현상과 관련시켜 해석되었다.

  • 선행되었던 연구인 실린더 슬릿형 소파블록 방파제에 대하여 실해역에서의 적용성을 평가하기 위하여 수치모델 해석을 통해 항내정온도를 분석하였다. 남해의 소규모 어항에 대해 파랑작용 평형방정식을 이용하는 SWAN 모델을 구성하고 수리모형실험에서 분석된 실린더형 슬릿 방파제의 투과율과 반사율을 도입하여 항내의 정온도의 변화를 불투과성 방파제와 비교하여 다루고 해수교환을 통한 해역수질환경의 개선 가능성을 예측해보았다. 수치실험은 한국해양연구원의 전해역 심해설계파 추정 보고서 II(2005)중의 심해설계파 제원을 사용하였으며, 대상해역의 1970년$\sim$2006년(37년간) 관측된 연최대 풍속자료를 이용하여 산정된 50년빈도 설계풍을 모델에 반영하였다. 대상 어항에서 서방파제에 주로 영향을 미치는 NNE계열의 파랑의 내습에 대한 분석을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 투과성구조물의 특성이 수치모형에서도 잘 재현하고 있음을 파악하였다.

Evaluation of Characteristics of Ground Anchor Using Large Scale Laboratory Test (실규모 실험을 이용한 그라운드 앵커의 거동 특성 평가)

  • Ground anchor has been widely used specially for maintaining stability on reinforced cut slope in expressway. While the durability of the ground anchors should be ensured over the service life. However, the long-term loss of tensile force has occurred in most of field-installed anchors. Main causes are not clearly identified and very few studies have been made for analyzing long-term behavior of ground anchor in slopes. In this study, full-scale model tests and long-term measurements were made to obtain the load-displacement data and identified the causes of the long-term behaviors of ground anchor. As a result, the bond strength decreases exponentially with increasing water-binder ratio. Especially, groundwater is the most influencing factor to the bond strength. In the long-term behavior, the load decreases sharply until the initial settlement stabilized, and thereafter the tension force decreases constantly.

Deep Learning-Based Lighting Estimation for Indoor and Outdoor (딥러닝기반 실내와 실외 환경에서의 광원 추출)

  • We propose a deep learning-based method that can estimate an appropriate lighting of both indoor and outdoor images. The method consists of two networks: Crop-to-PanoLDR network and LDR-to-HDR network. The Crop-to-PanoLDR network predicts a low dynamic range (LDR) environment map from a single partially observed normal field of view image, and the LDR-to-HDR network transforms the predicted LDR image into a high dynamic range (HDR) environment map which includes the high intensity light information. The HDR environment map generated through this process is applied when rendering virtual objects in the given image. The direction of the estimated light along with ambient light illuminating the virtual object is examined to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. For this, the results from our method are compared with those from the methods that consider either indoor images or outdoor images only. In addition, the effect of the loss function, which plays the role of classifying images into indoor or outdoor was tested and verified. Finally, a user test was conducted to compare the quality of the environment map created in this study with those created by existing research.

  • 85-90% of the causes of traffic accidents are human factors, and autonomous vehicles with little free running distance can be an alternative to prevent traffic accidents caused by human factors. However, securing safety of autonomous vehicles should be preceded in order to reduce traffic accident damage through the introduction of autonomous vehicles. Therefore, it is necessary to verify whether the vehicle can respond appropriately to changes in the road and traffic environment through repeated and reproduced test runs in an environment similar to the actual road. In this study, K-City's development strategies for upgrading, differentiating, and systematic development were established by comparing and analyzing the current status of domestic and foreign testbeds and business environment analysis. Furthermore, we derive challenge tasks to achieve each strategy.

Construction of a High-Altitude Ignition Test Facility for a Small Gas-turbine Combustor (소형 가스터빈 연소기 고공환경 점화 시험 설비 구축 및 검증 실험)

  • A small high altitude test facility has been developed to investigate ignition performance of a small gas-turbine combustor under high altitude conditions. Supersonic diffusers and a heat exchanger were used to perform a low pressure and a low temperature condition, respectively. Experimental results showed that the low pressure environment could be controlled by upstream pressure of primary nozzle flow and low temperature environment by mixture ratio of cooled air and ambient air. Ignition performance tests were performed to verify the performance of the facility under simulated high altitude conditions. Conclusively, it was proven that the test facility could be used for ignition performance test of a small gas-turbine combustor under high altitude condition of approximately 6,100m.

Corrosion Durability Evaluation of Uncoated Structural Steel Using Accelerated Exposure Tests (부식촉진실험을 이용한 강교용 무도장 강재의 부식내구성 평가)

  • The corrosion durability of steel bridge coatings, such as organic and metallic coatings, is often evaluated by field exposure tests, but such tests take from several years to decades to complete. As a potential method for fast corrosion testing, accelerated exposure tests were considered in this study. The S6-cycle accelerated exposure test, specified in the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS K5621), was carried out on uncoated structural steels for 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 days, and the resultant weight loss was determined. The weight loss was compared with that obtained from previous field exposure tests, and acceleration factors of the S6-cycle test to field exposure test sites were determined. The application of the S6-cycle accelerated exposure tests to field environments was presented based on the acceleration factor and the amount of flying salt.

A Study on the Fireproof Characteristic and the Extinguishment by NAF S-III on a Molded Transformer in Substation (변전실용 몰드변압기의 난연성과 NAF S-III 소화에 관한 연구)

  • This dissertation is research on the fireproof characteristic of molded transformer and the extinguishable characteristics of the NAF S-III. As the research method, a theoretical examination has been made for the combustion process of epoxy resin, which was the main material of molded transformer, and extinguishing process of NAF S-III, which has recently been used in the clean extinguishable chemicals. Furthermore, for its proof, the experiments on combustion and extin-guishment on molded transformer has been performed. By installing the actual molded transformer in and artificial the horizontal heating furnace which has similar conditions with the electrical substation, and after subsequently ignited, the extinguishing process has been observed by classifying it into the natural extinguishment of the ignited transformer, and extinguishable chemical in NAF S-III has been injected. The volume of injected extinguishable chemical was the economical amount which was equipped with the extinguishable capability on the molded transformer under combustion, and it was calculated with the Announcement of the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs as the basis. With the injection of the calculated extinguishable chemicals, the ignited transformer has completely extinguished within one minute.
