This research aims to design on an automatic machine vision system to replace eye inspection of alternator spool which is one of the key automotive parts. The alternator spool, plastic extrusion part would have various defects like unfinished, crack and burr. Through the design failure examples the optimized fast machine vision system will be designed to inspect all spools also focuses on the low cost machine for the middle sized company as 2'nd automotive supplier. 3-dimensional design softwares of Pro-Engineer & CATIA were used and the system were built based on the design. The system will contribute to satisfy the cycle time and can inspect each part in an absolutely accurate method, which is sufficient for industrial applications.
Some games distract the player's immersion on purpose through the progression and direction of the game, thereby giving them an opportunity for rational awareness. In this paper, we tried to analyze the characteristics and types of alienation strategies of digital games. So we investigated the anti-immersive property of the game with the effect of Brecht 's alienation and proposed three strategic types of digital games that cause the anti-immersive effect into 'disturbance of sensory information', 'reversal of narrative and overturning of genre' and 'limitation of experience'.
In the heterogeneous system of various wired or wireless network with IP-based backbone, the continuities of agreedon QoS for multimedia services should be guaranteed regardless of network types and terminal mobility through seamless vertical handover. This paper proposes a QoS provisioning mechanism called D-ISHO which guarantees the continuities of agreed-on QoS and seamless for multimedia services by considering both such characteristics as delay, loss rate and jitter per each service and such status as available band-width, call arrival rate and data transmission rate during the vertical handover. Simulation is done for performance analysis with the measure of handover failure rate and packet loss rate.

This study examined the type and extent of interruption between induced emotion and succeeding arithmetic operation. The experiment was carried out to determine the influence of the induced emotions (anger, joy, and sorrow) and stimulus types (picture and sentence) on the cognitive process load that may block the interactions among the constituents of working memory. The study subjects were 32 undergraduates who were similar with respect to age and education parameters and were especially instructed to attend to induced emotion by imitation of facial expression and to make a correct decision during the remainder calculation task. In the results, the stimulus types did not exhibit any difference but there was a significant difference among the induced emotion types. The difference was observed in slower response time at positive emotion(joy condition) as compared with other emotions(anger and sorrow). More specifically, error and delayed correct response rate for emotion types were analysed to determine which phase the slower response was associated with. Delayed responses of the joy condition by sentence-inducing stimulus were identified with the error rate difference, and those by picture-inducing stimulus with the delayed correct response rate. These findings not only suggest that induced positive emotion increased response time compared to negative emotions, but also imply that picture-inducing stimulus easily affords arithmetic fluctuation whereas sentence-inducing stimulus results in arithmetic failure.
Today, companies are facing business environments that are changing rapidly compared to the business environments of the past. These rapid changes can be observed in areas such as technology and market structure. To compete in rapidly changing business environments, companies are consistently releasing new innovative products to meet consumers' satisfaction. However, compared to the products that have already been successful in the past, innovative products have higher uncertainty in terms of meeting consumer's technical and emotional needs. Therefore, marketers of the companies put lots of efforts to reduce the risks of new innovative products' failure. In this study, we conducted 2(process simulation / outcome simulation) ${\times}2$ (hedonic / utilitarian) experiment to analyze the effect of mental simulation and product type on innovative new product evaluation. The results of this study are following. In process simulation, evaluation of utilitarian innovative new product was higher, but hedonic innovation showed higher evaluation in the outcome simulation. Based on research result, we recommend proper application of mental simulation.

Purpose : To assess the clinical characteristics of the 2000-2001 measles outbreak in the Seoul metropolitan area, Korea, the clinical data of measles inpatients were analyzed. Methods : Three hundred and five children diagnosed with measles by clinical manifestation from July, 2000 to February, 2001, in Seoul, Ilsan and Ansan City were grouped according to their age and investigated for clinical manifestations, vaccination history and measles-specific IgM/IgG antibody positivity. Results : Thirty eight point seven percent of the subjects were less than 12 months of age, 27.5 % were 12-47 months of age and 33.8% were 48 months of age or older. There was no significant sexual difference(male : female=1.2 : 1). This epidemic started in June, 2000 and the number of patients increased abruptly in October, peaked in December and finally decreased after February, 2001. It started from the older age group and moved to the younger. Sixty five point two percent had a history of more than 1-dose vaccination and 13.6% of the patients equal or more than 48 months of age had a history of 2-dose vaccination. Primary vaccine failure rate was 59.4%(107/180) and secondary vaccine failure rate was 3.9%(7/180) in 1 dose vaccinees. Sixty one point six percent showed more than one complication and 38.4% had no complication. The most common complication was pneumonia(31.8 %), followed by bronchitis(11.5%) and acute otitis media(4.6%). Vaccination and dose were not related significantly with the occurrence of complications. Conclusion : Compared with previous outbreaks in Korea, clinical features showed no specific change in the 2000-2001 measles epidemic. However, primary vaccine failure rate was so high that the second vaccination at four to six years of age must be emphasized in Korea.

Purpose : This study was Performed to identify the histopathologic feature by the reevaluation of the Pathologic specimen of the cervical tumors and to evaluate the clinical findings and the treatment results of the patients with small cell carcinoma of the cervix treated by radiotherapy. Materials and Methods : 2890 patients with cervical carcinoma received radiotherapy at the Department of Radiation Oncology. Yonsei Cancer Center, Yonsei University College of Medicine between October 1981 and April 1995. Of the 2890 patients in this data base, sixty were found to have small cell carcinomas $(2.08\%)$. Among them thirty six patients were transferred from other hospitals. the biopsy specimens of those Patients were not available. So we could review the slides of the other twenty four patients who were diagnosed at our hospital. Twenty four patients with small cell carcinoma of the cervix were analyzed retrospectively based on the assessment of H & E staining and other four immunohistochemical stains for neuroendocrine differentiation (neuron specific enolase, chromogranin. synaptophysin and Grimelius stain). And we also evaluate the Patients and tumor characteristics. response to radiation. patterns of failures, 5 year overall and disease free survival rates. Results : Thirteen tumors were neuroendocrine carcinomas(13/24 = $54.2\%$) and eleven tumors were squamous carcinomas, small cell type (11/24 = $47.8\%$) based on the assessment of H & E staining and other four neuroendocrine marker studies. So we classified the Patients two groups as neuroendocrine carcinoma and small cell type of squamous carcinoma, Among the 13 neuroendocrine carcinomas, five were well to moderately differentiated tumors and the other eight were Poorly differentiated or undifferentiated ones. The median age was 54 years old (range 23-79 years). Eight Patients had FIGO stage IB disease, 12 had stage 11, 3 had stage III and one had stage IV disease, Pelvic lymph node metastases were found in five Patients $(20.8\%)$. three of them were diagnosed by surgical histologic examination and the other two were diagnosed by CT scan. There was no difference between two histopathologic groups in terms of patients and tumor characteristics. response to radiation. 5 year overall and disease free survival rates. However the distant metastases rate was higher in neuroendocrine carcinoma Patients (6/13:$46.2\%$) than in small cell type of squamous carcinoma Patients (2/11:$18.2\%$), but there was no statistically significant difference because of the small number of patients (P>0.05). Conclusion : More than half of the small cell carcinoma of the cervix patients were neuroendocrine carcinoma (13/24 : $54.1\%$) by reevaluation of the biopsy specimen of the cervical tumors. The tendency of distant metastases of the neurolndocrine carcinoma was greater than those of the small cell type of squamous carcinoma $(46.2\%\;vs.\;18.2\%)$. But there were no differences in the patients and tumor characteristics and other clinical treatment results in both groups. These data suggest that radical local treatment such as radiotherapy or radical surgery combined with combination systemic cytotoxic chemotherapy might provide these patients with the best chance for cure.
Purpose : To evaluate the efficacy of radiotherapy for the low-grade astrocy-tomas and confirm the variables influencing treatment results. Materials and Methods : Forty-six patients with low-grade astrocytoma received radiotherapy after surgical removal (36 patients) or biopsy (10 patients) from 1979 to 1990. Twenty patients had grade I histology and 26 had grade II. External radiotherapy was done by conventional schedule with the total dose of 45 to 60 Gy (median: 54 Gy). The median follow-up period was 5 years. Results : The 2- and 5-year survival rates were $80\%$ and $72\%$, respectively and the 2- and 5-year progression-free survival was $75\%$ and $63\%$, respectively. The survival was influenced significantly by the histologic grade, the histologic type, and performance status. Major complication was not found. Conclusion: In spite of good survival, the local failure was still the major problem. Age and the extent of surgery as well as three favorable factors should be considered in the future treatments.

The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristics of problem solving process with proportional or compensational reasoning of the elementary school students. For this study, 85th grade students were selected and tested with Science Reasoning Task, information processing ability test and proportional and compensational reasoning tasks. This study revealed that students in mid concrete stage could solve the proportionality task and easy compensation task. But, most of the students could not solve difficult compensation task. And as the students got higher score in information processing test, it took them less time to solve the problem. The types of strategy used in solving proportional and compensational problem were categorized as the factor of change, building-up and the cross-product. Most of the students failed in problem solving used incorrect schema knowledge, procedure knowledge and strategy knowledge. Many students tended to use proportionality strategy to solve the difficult compensation task. Result of this study suggested that various task included different structure and the same schema knowledge can be effective for the advancement of students' proportional and compensational reasoning ability.
