Effects of Physical Activity Practice Rates and Knowledge Related to Cardiocerebrovascular Disease Prevention on Health Behavior Case Study Focusing on Middle Aged Women with Risk of Central Obesity (중심비만 위험인자를 가진 중년여성의 신체활동 실천율, 심뇌혈관질환 예방관련 지식이 건강행위에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of physical activity practice rates and knowledge related to cardiocerebrovascular disease prevention on the health behavior of middle aged women. Data were collected from Oct to Nov 2017 from 142 middle-aged women living in 24 Eup, Myeon, and Dong areas in North Gyeongsangbuk-do Province using a structured questionnaire. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The major factors influencing health behavior were found to be alcohol consumption (${\beta}=0.15$, p=0.009), diet (${\beta}=0.16$, p=0.003), vigorous intensity (${\beta}=0.14$, p=0.011), marriage (${\beta}=0.19$, p<0.001), interest in one's own health (${\beta}=0.23$, p<0.001), and health recognition (ill: ${\beta}=0.31$, p<0.001). Alcohol consumption and diet were factors of cardiocerebrovascular knowledge, vigorous intensity was a factor of physical activity practice rate, marriage and interest in one's own health were factors of general characteristics, and health recognition was a factor in health-related characteristics. Health-promotion activity was positively correlated with knowledge regarding cardiocerebrovascular disease prevention (r=0.41, p<0.001) and physical activity practice rate (r=0.44, p<0.001). It will be necessary to develop and apply practical intervention programs based on disease prevention knowledge and physical activity to enhance the health behavior of middle aged women.

일부 산업장 생산직 근로자의 예방적 건강행위에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 예방적 건강행위에 대한 필요성 인식 정도와 실천정도를 파악하고 이를 요인분석하여 산업장의 예방적 건강행위를 이끌기 위한 프로그램의 기틀을 세우기 위해 시도되었다. 연구도구는 참고문헌과 선행연구 등을 참조하여 본 연구자가 만든 설문지를 사전 조사후 수정, 보완하여 사용하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 소재의 2개 기계제조업체에 근무하는 근로자들이였으며 1989년 5월 5일부터 10일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료 중 탈락 및 기재가 불충분한 질문지를 제외한 284명의 응답자를 분석에 사용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS를 이용하여 전산처리하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 예방적 건강행위의 필요성 인식정도의 평균은 122.1점으로 매우 높은 점수분포를 나타냈으며, 실천정도의 평균은 87.6점으로 필요성 인식정도 보다는 낮은 실천정도를 나타냈었다. 2) 예방적 건강행위에 대한 필요성 인식정도와 실천 정도간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 29개 예방적 건강행위 중 20개의 항목에서 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 이것을 예방적 건강행위에 대한 필요성 인식정도가 높을수록 실천정도가 높은 것을 의미하는 것으로 인식정도가 행위에 영향을 미침을 반영하고 있다. 3) 요인분석결과 29개의 예방적 건강행위 항목들은 7가지의 요인으로 범주화되었으며 각 범주들은 요인부하량이 높은 것들을 참고로 하여 보건의료자원활동을 통한 예방적 건강행위, 개인위생에 대한 예방적 건강행위, 작업과 관련된 건강행위, 식습관을 통한 예방적 건강행위, 휴식을 통한 예방적 건강행위, 기호습관(금연, 금주)을 통한 예방적 건강행위, 활동을 통한 예방적 건강행위등으로 명명할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 생산직에 종사하고 있는 근로자들은 예방적 건강행위에 대한 필요성을 깊이 인식하고 있으나, 실천정도는 그에 미치지 못하고 있었다. 그러나 예방적 건강행위의 필요성 인식정도와 실천정도간의 상관관계에서 29개 항목중 20개 항목에서 유의한 상관관계를 보여 인식정도가 높을 수록 실천정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 근로자의 건강에 대한 인식 및 태도가 가장 직접적으로 영향을 미칠 수 있는 산업간호사의 역할 중 보건교육에 대한 업무가 보다 중요한 비중으로 수행되어져야 함을 시사하는 결과라고 볼수 있다.

Analysis of Students' Level of Participation through the Content Analysis of the Unit of Dietary Life from Grade 9 Technology.Home Economics Textbooks (중학교 2학년 기술.가정 교과 내 식생활 단원의 내용 분석을 통한 학생들의 실천도 조사)

  • The following experiment was designed to test the students' involvement in the interactive activities and objectives of the relevant chapters in the newly revised curriculum of 2007. The experiment was carried out with the purpose of understanding the level of participation of the Grade 9 students who have successfully completed the Grade 8 "Choice of Food and Diet" and "Table Manners and Dining Etiquette" courses with classified materials such as tables/diagrams/pictures, reading, and activity resources from Technology Home Economics textbooks. The chapters "Choice of Food and Diet" and "Food Preparation and Etiquette" generally emphasize the practical and experiential part of domestic life through using various activity resources; while the tables/diagrams/pictures and reading materials do not provide the students with first-hand experience, they support the students' learning by explaining the basic knowledge required for doing the activities and solving various problems. Within the main training courses, the objectives which the students achieved the highest marks were(in a descending order) "Table Manners and Dining Etiquette" (3.24), "Checking Nutrition Labels, Food Expiration Date, Country of Origin When Buying Food" (3.18), Additionally "Making Food" and "Planning a Healthy, Balanced Diet" hardly met the goals, the result of which shows clear relations to the well achieved objectives from the list of in-class activities that students directly participated in. Therefore, in order to increase the students' interest in the Food and Diet section of Technology Home Economics textbooks, it is recommended to encourage the students to actively engage in the class activities by developing various learning resources and teacher education/pedagogical materials, rather than following the conventional lecture-based teaching methods.

The Association between Personal Health Behaviors and Emergency Room Visit among Elderly Patients with Diabetes (당뇨병 노인의 건강행위 실천과 응급실 내원 간의 관련성)

  • This study was to understand the relationship between emergency room visit due to illness and personal health behaviors as well as population and illness characteristics of elderly patients with diabetes. This study was a descriptive correlation study that analyzed 956 respondents aged 65 or older and diagnosed with diabetes in the Korean Health Panel's data from 2014 to 2017. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 26.0 program with Mann-Whitney U test, chi-square test, and logistic regression analysis. The respondents who visited emergency room had fewer days of moderate-intensity physical activity and walking activity, were older, had activity restrictions due to disability, had depression, and had a large number of comorbid chronic diseases. In order to prevent elderly people with diabetes from visiting emergency room, it is important to encourage moderate-intensity activity and walking.

Development and Application of Practical Problem-based Teaching·Learning Process for Interacting with Neighbors (이웃과 더불어 살아가는 주생활을 위한 실천적 문제 중심 교수·학습 과정안 개발 및 적용)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and apply the practical problem-based teaching·learning process plan for 'interacting with neighbors' of home economics subject. The plan consisting of 3 lessons has been developed and implemented according to the ADDIE model. Various activity materials (7 student's activity sheets, 3 reading texts, 1 homework sheet, 3 sets of ppt, 6 videos, and 3 teacher's reading texts) as well as questionnaire were developed for the 3-session lessons. The plans were implemented by the researcher to 204 freshmen, 8 classes, of C middle school in Seoul during september, 2017. The result, of students' lower level of actual participation in interacting with neighbors comparing to their interests in, supported the need of this study. Students were satisfied with the whole 3-lessons in the aspects such as beneficial usage of the contents in their daily life and in building the sense of community, as well as adequacy of materials and activities. Students also reported that they would highly aware to the importance of interacting with neighbors and to practice the contents learned from the lessons in daily life at community. They had an opportunity to reflect one's own attitude to neighbors and recommended to teach it to other schools, too. It can be concluded that the teaching·learning process plan for 'interacting with neighbors' would raise students' housing values living together and attain the overall objective and achievement standards of 2015 home economics middle school curriculum.

Classification of Online Simulation Content for Effective Engineering E-Learning Courses (효과적 이러닝 실습전략을 위한 온라인 시뮬레이션 구현방법 및 학습활동 분류)

  • Effectiveness of the e-learning hands-on practice in the engineering education depends on the quality of the contents of which simulation is a part and the teaching strategy of the instructor. Instructors who develop and use the simulation-included e-learning content should employ various teaching and learning activities which would make online simulation practice effective. Thus, the strategy for the effective e-learning simulated practice in engineering courses should be known and used effectively. The aim of this paper is to classify the development methods of the simulations and the teaching and learning activities of the development types classified. The comparison of the teaching and learning activities leads to suggestion on teaching and learning strategy for effective use of the online simulation in engineering education.
