  • 컴퓨터 기술의 발달에 따라 디지탈 전산기는 연산처리 능력이 더욱 빨라지고, 더욱 큰 기억용량을 갖게 되었다. 따라서 산업공정, 화학프랜트, 원자력발전 및 항공분야 등의 복잡한 연속 동특성계에 대한 실시간 시뮬레이션이 가능하게 되었다. 특히 복잡한 연속 동특성계의 시뮬레이션 목적으로 Multiprocessor 형태의 전산기가 개발되었다. 이 Multiprocessor형태의 전산기는 D/A 변환기와 A/D 변환기를 갖추므로써 실시간 실물 모의시험(A real time hardware-in-the-loop simulation) 시의 컴퓨터와 외부장비와의 데이타 전달이 용이하여 졌다. 본 연구에서는 비행체의 비행자세를 제어하기 위한 조종장치의 설계해석 및 성능시험을 위하여 Multiprocessor를 이용하여 실시간 실물 모의실험이 가능함을 보였다. 본 시뮬레이션에 사용된 전산기는 AD10 전산기이다.

  • This paper deals with six degree-of-freedom HILS(hardware-in-the-loop-simulation) of KSR-III rocket using a TAFMS(three axis flight motion simulator). This TAFMS HILS test is accomplished before main HILS tests in order to verify the control stability in the presence of TAFMS dynamic effects. The TAFMS HILS test includes initial attitude holding tests for INS initial alignment procedures, timer synchronization tests with an auxiliary lift-off signal, real-time calibration tests using an external thermal recorder, open-loop TAFMS operating tests, and final closed-loop TAFMS HILS tests using the TAFMS attitude measurements as inputs to the closed control loop. The HILS tests are accomplished for several flight conditions composed with nominal flight condition, TWD effect added condition, slosh modes and/or bending modes existing condition, and windy condition, etc.

  • The tracking radars in NARO space center are precious, long-range tracking systems for tracking the launch vehicle (KSLV-1) and transmitting TSPI (Time, Space and Position Information) data to MCC (Mission Control Center). Because TSPI data from tracking radars to MCC are important information for the launch mission and flight safety control, TSPI data are required to be more accurate. In this paper, we analyzed theoretically the required specification of the random noise error in tracking radar and verified the real random noise error. In this analysis, we evaluated the TSPI data of several flight tests performed in NARO space center.

  • This paper describes the developed HILS and test equipment in order to test the performances of MMW(Millimeter-Wave) seeker which can detect and track a high speed of short-range ballistic missile and aircraft. This system is used to 141 horn antenna array, array switching, and gain and phase control algorithm to simulate various kind of targets and trajectory of high speed and maneuver moving target. In addition, it simulates not only velocity and range for these targets but also clutter and jamming environments. System configuration and implementation and the measurement results of major subsystems such as target motion simulator, simulation signal generator, high speed data aquisition unit, and central control unit are presented. These systems could verify the detection and tracking performance of MMW seeker through dynamic real-time test based on simulation flight scenario.

Performance Analysis of Telemetering Method using Delayed Frame Time Diversity (DFTD) and Reed-Solomon Code (지연프레임 시간다이버시티와 RS 코드를 사용한 원격측정방식의 성능분석)

  • In this paper, the performance analysis of telemetering method using delayed frame time diversity (DFTD) as the outer code and Reed-Solomon (RS) code as the inner code is described. DFTD is used to transmit a real-time frame together with a time-delayed frame which was saved in the memory during a defined period. The RS code as a kind of FEC (forward error correction) is serially concatenated with DFTD. This method was applied to the design of telemetry units that have been used for flight tests in a communication environment with deep fading. The data of the flight test for four cases with no applied code, with DFTD only, with the RS code only, and with both DFTD and the RS code are used to analyze the performance. The simulation for time-delay suggests the possibility that all frame errors can be removed. And the results of 12 flight tests show the performance superiority of this new method to compare with the RS code only.

  • A simulation technique, which simulate dynamic motion and communication environments of ship in the lab, is needed in order to reduce the testing cost when we evaluate the transfer alignment performance of shipboard INS. Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation(HILS) can be used as an effective test method for those system because it can provide flexible and realistic simulation environments, various test scenario, and repeated test environment in the lab without additional cost and person. This paper presents the methods for implementing the real time HILS environment for testing transfer alignment performance of shipboard INS. It includes real time executive for controlling realtime simulation and calculating the ship motion, communication method for interfacing between the systems, and coordinate transformation method for converting real ship coordinate attitude data to lab coordinate attitude data.

  • The small tracking radar targets the target in a real-time, fast-moving, fast-moving target against aircraft with a large RCS that is maneuvering at low speed and a small RCS aircraft maneuvering at high speed (fighters, drones, helicopters, etc.) It is a pulsed radar that detects and tracks.   • Active vibration control system(AVCS) for helicopter enables to control the vibration generated from the main rotor and has the superb vibration reduction performance with low weight compared passive vibration reduction device. In this paper, FxLMS algorithm-based vibration control software of the light civil helicopter tansmits the control command calculated using the signals of the tachometer and accelerometers to the circular force generator(CFG) is developed and verified. According to the RTCA DO-178C/DO-331, the vibration control software is developed through the model based design technique, and real-time operation performance is evaluated in PILS(processor in-the loop simulation) and HILS(hardware in-the loop simulation) environments. In particular, the reliability of the software is improved through the LDRA-based verification coverage in the PIL environments. In order to AVCS to light civil helicopter(LCH), the dynamic response characteristic model is obtained through the ground/flight tests. AVCS configuration which exhibits the optimal performance is determined using system optimization analysis and flight test and obtain STC certification.

  • In this work, infrared targets for a developed hardware-in-the-loop simulation(HILS) system are proposed for a performance test of a dual-sensor imaging seeker equipped with an infrared and a visible sensor that can lock and track for ground and air targets. This integrated system is composed of 100 modules of heat and light sources to simulate various kinds of target and the trajectory of moving targets based on scenarios. It is possible to simulate not only the position, velocity, and direction for these targets but also background clutter and jamming environments. The design and measurement results of an infrared target, such as the HILS system configuration, developed for testing and evaluation of a dual-sensor imaging seeker are described. In the future, it is planned to test the lock-on and tracking performance of an imaging seeker equipped with single or dual sensors dynamically in real time based on a simulation flight scenario in the developed HILS system.
